Hey Chigg...I notice your last few videos are not closed caption. Is there a reason? I love ❤️ watching ur videos. I depend on CC. I never want to miss what your saying. I learn soo much from you.
There are automatically generated captions. I checked the first few minutes, and they're like 98% accurate, it's pretty impressive considering how bad it used to be on here. You can turn them on from the gear menu.
Yeah, I have noticed the same thing. The closed captioning used to be on your videos. My sister is hard of hearing and loves to watch them with me. We really enjoy your work!
Lovely right to your massage
Thank you for whatever it is you do to keep the signal beeps comfortably low in the video. Honestly it's the part of metal detecting that bugs me the most (I have misophonia), and unfortunately my Garrett AT400 doesn't have volume control. I wish it worked like my Dr. Otek pinpointer--no sound at all, just vibration and LED 4-color signals. Not only does it not bug me; using it feels so much more natural. I don't know why, maybe because solid objects are things we can feel and see, not hear, so detecting them accordingly seems more real.
Hey Beau, you pointed out that cornerstone of a house and I was thinking...I might be wrong but it seems that when I was very young I was told that when they built a house with a cornerstone, they placed a coin of some sorts under the cornerstone for good luck or blessings or something. Hey buddy...isn"t it worth a look?
Congrats on the belts plates, wow! Keep at that site! Amazing things will pop out of it! Wear some gloves and armor for your arms! You are tearing up your arms and hands! ✌
The Chigg on a Civil War digg! My favorite kind! Great job Beau!
Ppp
Kicked a rotten log out of the way last fall. Hello YELLOW JACKETS. Never seen a 64 year old move so fast.
I knelt down next to one last summer, dug an IHP, and noticed all these bees flying past me. I looked to my right at the rotting log 3 feet away and there at the bottom of it was the hole facing right at me. My heart skipped a couple beats. But somehow they never came after me. I backed away veeeery slowly and counted my blessings.
You’ll never guess what I found two days ago, Bruce... ironically the same thing as Beau did here. Yep! My second Fed Calvary sword plate!! I still can’t believe it
I had forgot your computer "Name". Put 2+2 together this morning.. Dang it, Why have I missed buckles and plates? Eppellats left and right, no plates. Went to the rock wall, Zilch.
KD8GIS Bruce I found an old road on the map at the crossing we detecting where I have that permission. The road disappeared before 1930. We should hit that later this Spring. Mostly wooded and then it went upstream in shallow water before crossing the creek back into woods.
You’re lucky to be alive. Yellow jackets are vicious.
What keeps you from encounter a Rattle - Head - Copper - Moccasin crawling around in the rocks & brush the way you do....
Hey Beau! Git some gloves on before you git a bad cut or Tetnus...I only mention cause I care!
That belt buckle is in insanely nice condition!! Nice finds and good luck on your future ones!!
I wonder if the brass race could be from a cannon swivel point.
I wondered that myself
You can't beat watching The Chigg in it's natural habitat.
Searching through the undergrowth for his favourite things, his ability to hunt out awesome civil war relics is renowned the world over...now if only we could train him on truffles...
It was truly great to see and hear the absolute joy as it was uncovered. Made my night and I'm across the pond!
Peace
Charlie 🇬🇧
Peace
im pretty sure the chigg has mentioned truffle hunting before
Chiggs you need to work on the volume cause sometimes I can barely hear you. Thanks buddy!
I agree... volume is often a bit too low at times.
Amazing that you can still find places that appear to have been overlooked., especially being close to where you are at. Awesome that there wasn't much trash there.
Beau I found a plain sword belt plate with wide tounge like that on back and it's pre war dated .
Congratulations Beau! That makes two of us that found Fed sword belt plates this week... yours is prettier by far. Pattern 625 mine is missing the applied silver wreaths
Would the piece of iron be part of a wagon spring?
HAY CHIGG! ....Have U Ever Dug Up A Soldier.?
how do we watch RIVER HUNTERS in the USA?
Pirate it, download a program called utorrent and go to the pirate bay and find it on there, hope it helps :)
That style is 1851 but the keeper on the back was used from 1865-1875 with the same front.
www.americancivilwarrelics.com/Z2445.htm
Wow great find! Love your videos, always nice to watch them. Greetings from Italy mr. Chigger! 👍
Awesome find Beau, that was once proudly cleaned and worn with great pride.
The broken plate, made me as an a Veteran of what many including myself have done in destroying these items and throwing them away...
Could be where he lived post war, or pre war and came back to a destroyed home.
The dates of the nails would suggest destruction prior to the 1880's with no attempt to rebuild.
In an imaginative mind you could see an Officer with his gold plated plate finding nothing left and throwing it away saying what was the point.
But hey I over think things...but you just never know.
Great hunt and journey around a beautifully constructed old homestead, the person who built it must have been very proud of it.
All the best
Charlie 🇬🇧
Awesome antler drop Beau, nice finds for sure. HH🤘🤘
Nice video, glad to see you lt digging again. Hope the river co-operates thiis year , im ready for some river treasure with you...hold your breath!!!
If you added all the shovel fulls that Chig has dug I wonder how many basements he has dug out or how long of a ditch. lol
This is a really cool property. I hope you get to search there again soon! Love the belt buckle!! Sweet!!
Sorry about that, I'll start carrying that junk out with me!
You referred to "German silver," so I'm curious if you are referring to what I know as "German silver," (as I do jewelry/metalwork) which is a relatively thick sterling silver plate on a copper base.
Nickle plating
Looks like a Model 1851 Sword belt plate Chigg! Great find!!!
Beau Congratulations nice looking Plate looks promising thanks!!!; )
Hi Beau. I watched the first episode of River Hunters on TV last night and really enjoyed it. Can't wait for the next one.
I wish I could watch it. Is it airing in US. What channel . I looked at the history channel and no dice.
@@tracylong80 I don't know. It was on the History channel in the UK last night.
What TV channel did you watch the show on?
@@aquachigger Do we get River Hunters on the internet too ?
For the ones outside UK and without TV?
@@lynnerodgers4461 the History channel
Awesome finds chig are you planning to do more bottle hunts in the summer?
Sweet you can make awesome jewelry from square nails ! My grandfather was a smithy ...
Dawn Lindgron *blacksmith? You mean....
crookedtool a smithy is the workshop or workbench that a blacksmith used.
watching your show on History River Hunters absolutely brilliant and its only thr first episode , to see that bronze age axe dug up in almost prime condition man i wanted to hold it
Duuuuude that plate is way cool! Love the area, wonder where the bottle dump is! Great hunt. Thanks for sharing!
Was that a Bronze Age axe head?!?!? 😉
Third poop
You should get that checked out, if you poop too much you might prolapse
Great video as always Aquachigger! I was wondering where I can watch “River Hunters”? If I understand right, it’s only on History UK? If you have a link to where I can watch it, that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! GL&HH
24:24 that was the spring mating call of the winged samsquanch
Hi new to your channel, from Namibia
WOW very cool! awsome plate
Congratulations! You have quite the area there! I was just as surprised to see the lack of modern trash. I'd grid search that location it seems that artifacts are spread out and who knows what else is going to be in the ground. Happy travels!
Beeps.
Makes me wonder everytime I see you dig up some sort of article like a buckle that maybe a human died or was killed with it on.
im always surprised he never finds the remains of a soldier
When he finds sets of coat buttons i think it must have been a soldier there.
@@colleenposadas8415 Or when he finds only 1-2 fired/damaged bullets in the same spot
@@geyotepilkington2892 Never thought about that.😢
Does the term "Magnificent Obsession" apply to Aquachigger?
Have noticed he 'downplays' & 'understates' everything, otherwise WE'D ALL BE JOINING HIM AND RUINING IT. Imagine the Woods with THOUSANDS OF US ALL OUT METAL DETECTING
As usual all the way here from Texas awesome video Chigg
Chig I really wish that I could come hunt with you. I am a semi experienced newb I guess. Never been anywhere exciting. I have only searched for modern coins. I would love to see how my ancient Whites MXT performs compaired to at max.
I found a sword plate exactly like the one you found here. It has the same single wide catch on the back. If you'd share any information you find on it I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Steve Bish.
Have you found any Civil War hot tubs? I’m looking for a part that goes to a…😳. Okay, I’ve gone back too far. Never mind. Great adventure, Chigg. Thanks for taking us along.
This is oldschool goodness, dr Beau!!!
Hi Beau, really enjoyed River Hunters first episode, top job 👍
jannis joplin It was on the history channel here in the UK
@jannis joplin just pirate it, download utorrent and go to the pirate bay. It'll probably be uploaded on there. Look up a video on how to pirate shows/movies :)
Great video mate keep up the good work 👍
Cannon trunnion bearing?
I think that the artifact at 33:00 could date back to 1983... and you might find some turtle shells nearby too... here is a non-dug reference image: brianaspinall.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/super-mario-bros.jpg (Nice video, man! I enjoy these long ones... always moarrrr.)
Just out of curiosity, have you ever considered/tried carrying a small spray bottle with you to help clean off the muck on your finds? I realize this wouldn't be necessary for many finds (like shells and ax heads, etc.), but some items like that broken buckle appear to be more sensitive to rubbing and such. I imagine if the artifact is whole you'd be more cautious, but that's when a spray bottle would be even more helpful, maybe? I've never been metal detecting, so I beg your pardon if this a noob-type question/suggestion.
Dear Aquachigger or any subscriber or viewer, why are there so many demolished old houses? They look to have been 19thC homes that we’re just left to collapse. Did the early 20thC Americans not value their architectural history? What is going on? I’m astonished at all these old sites that are just there to be wandered over, detected and dug by ordinary people. Are there no paper records for these homesteads and what happened to them? Just wondering. Another really interesting video ☺️☺️
That suspender clip looks like the other piece to the lantern you found at the first of the video. Awesome video the buckle is amazing. Wish you could do a full video if just digging out the black smiths shop no telling the cool iron you would find. Love ya always chigg
Great video and nice finds. Thank you for sharing. Happy Hunting.
Hey! Who is this beardless man and why is he wearing AquaChiggars clothes?!?!?
Frest like
Watch you on tv. In your UK show today fantastic
Try and find the privy then you can find some old bottles congratulations on the buckle.
I loved this dig and hope you'll go back there. I still haven't gotten to try out my new detector and am not sure why. Probably because not much went on around my neck of the woods although I may be able to find the horseshoes my Belgian has lost :).
Chigg, The true name for the wick holder for a lamp is a "lamp font". I only know this because my mother use to collect old lamps and was always after old "fonts" to repair her broken ones. Just thought I,d let you know. You'll be the first detectorist on RUclips who can call them by their proper name now. It will be fun to see who else starts. You'll know if the others are watching your videos when they catch on too. Keep that coil to the soil my man.
I’m at my father in-laws long story but I was detecting in the yard and got a good signal I got excited kept digging and a stinking aluminum can that had been crushed and buried. Made my day not lolllllllllll
Awsome find, makes me want to know more about that site. Great hunt and buckle. That place is sweet, thanks man.
Ya scared me😂 I thought it was my phone ringing I have the exact same ringtone lol
Please check out RUclips video... Air trenching tool never shovel again.
Big difference between an artifact hunter and a treasure hunter. The latter probably wouldn’t care so much about spoons and lantern pieces.
Coal is good for naughty children. Save it for Christmas time. Will go great in stockings.
Pretty spoon! Love the rock wall to guard the yard. Maybe the top was wood and burned down. Perhaps not bricks. Oh that well needs at tree limb in it for critters to escape.
2:18 BARS
Hey Chigg I know this is a old video but I was just wondering do you ever use your T2 anymore?
That big brass piece looks to me like the spout off a water hand pump. The pump my great uncle had next to his barn had a simple spout like that.
Could be a small battle sight or a place where they tended to wounded. That buckle looks like it may of been hit by a bullet the way it had chunks missing from it.
That one big rock looked like a hearth stone some. I’m sure it’s just part of the foundation though.
What kind of camera set up do you use? Thanks in advanced nice plate later brocephus!
I like the metal detecting videos better than the cave videos thanks Aquachigger
That buckle is a holy grail piece..so cool ..man I'd 😭
Wish I could do this I want to find miniballs but I won't find those here in Massachusetts
Sir!!! How do you hurt yourself so often?!
Did anyone else check their cell phones to see if it was theirs going off? Chuckles.
It's either a a buckle or can or something like that, lol ok Beau I think you are correct.
Maybe your narrow barn was the equivalent of a single-car garage.
River Hunters was great well done Beau.
Not sure about the one with 🦅 on it looks good to me same exact back found mine 2 months ago
Did i just see a history channel commercial with you in it? Nice!!
I’m a blacksmith and I love chunks of iron too!
What an interesting beautiful site. Lucky you.
Set how many sandsquatchs did u ever see or hear doing your videos
Is that a musket ball at 5:09 in the dirt? It rolls around a bit if you start about 5:06 you can see it.
looks like the shunting signal arm for the railroad.
Do you ever get old railroad dump maps and dig them.?
I love your videos keep up the good work
I haven't posted a video yet but it's my hunting and fishing channel had too brain storm names and my buddy and I where drinking and Bam this name came about haha
Can you tell me what your settings generally were for this terrain
For all those who don't know it was Devo's song Whip it
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
Thanks for taking us along on your hunt. Nice finds
!
3 horseshoes triple luck that’s good.
less talking and walking and more

Definitely a brass journal bearing.
