- Join me as I metal detect and search a colonial era homesite I had discovered a few weeks ago. The ground was frozen in many places so I couldn't dig in the best spots I did find a nice King George III copper and a few dandy buttons. Plus I saved the best for the next trip!

My Favorite teacher! He taught me all my best metal detecting tricks !!, pay attention and he will teach you to find treasure , For real !! Thank you chigg
You worked hard for that coin and I'm glad you found it.
I love the treasure hunt aspect of it, the thrill of the hunt. Great video to help us all get through the winter months. Thanks Beau
Great video thanks to your father for his service Chigger. GOD BLESS.
I know it was only a tin can lid, but the little tutorial you gave on the pinpointed and careful digging was pure gold. Thankyou
Really appreciate you showing us the tips of metal detecting.. You help a bunch when I get in the field.
Always good to catch the Chigg in his natural habitat, and happy the ground isn't frozen to a brick too. After London you will no doubt be off next to hunt the elusive Peruvian Loop Gharu's, rarer than the hairy southern Samsquench, and much meaner. LOL
Loved watching a Wild Chigg in his natural environment. Late winter plumage. His foraging done in daylight, distinguished by the steady “ blip, blip” of his extended armature. His digging arm efficient and ready to delicately prise little treasures from the soil at the indication of a “squeaker” from his longer arm. The Bearded Chigg loves all twinkly objects, especially gold.
Nice video. Thanks for another good one.
Nice hunt. Thanks for sharing. Take care.
Beau those pull tabs and can are screaming to be found nice finds and not a bad place to look thanks!!!; )
Great video thanxxxxx for shering with us... hello from Brazil
And yet ANOTHER fun adventure with the "Chigg"! Great fun..
My neighbor got a metal detector awhile back and I told him bout your channel and he learned how to set his detector from one of your videos. Thanks for helping.
Could you tell me what video that was? I have trouble with that
Thanks for sharing Beau...
Good wholesome video. Didn’t want it to end after 45 min.
Disc went across it more than likely. Great video Chigger as always buddy GOD BLESS.
Great video buddy, sweet finds.
We posted ours today...you get a mention..lol 👍
Just like Grover ,Chig teaches us Near and Far LOL
Your never boring Chigg !
I like how you added your Chigg’s Army sticker to your Max. 😊
“The Chigg in his natural habitat”.... 😆. That was cute!
You are braver than I am to metal detect in the frozen ground. 😉
Need to come down south, much warmer here. We could do some diggin where Sherman's march to the sea was...fun times, no frozen mud.
Not skunked. YES excitement rises!! And let down. A can lid. Bummer. BIG TIME BUMMER. I was hoping for you.
Beau, that was awsome. Luv the laid back goofiness. Too funny. That ground looked torturous! Lol. Still made some chigger style saves! Most people would of just gave up that day. Lol
I’m just a little old man and can hardly walk, but, if I had a detector I’d like to party with Mr. Chigg. Regardless, I ‘dig’ it.
Doug Alexander Same here! I had a metal finder 30 years ago, never found much. Thought I scored big one day at the beach, dug a hole almost 3’ deep, and it was a plastic bag full of beer cans! Not my greatest day if ya know what I mean! Lol! Unlike me, chig actually knows what he’s doin with one of these things. All I remember is I found maybe $10 in change, some costume jewelry, and forked out $325.00 for the damn thing! Very bad investment!!
Always good
Love every one of your videos no matter what the subject is!
Chigg, you are a prince ,covering the foul words on the tree. Keep on .
The coins used to come over in shiploads when the British exchequer could afford it. Here in Australia, it's very hard to find a British car coin between 1810 and 1827,because there was simply no shipments made in that time.I found an 1826 halfpenny, and googled which ship it came over on!
Great hunt Chigg!
These videos make me happy, not matter what. :))
Hey dude got to dig the crash to find that stash.. Found a big button today first one like that I have found... Better luck next time bro.. Peace out.. Roll on march bonehead in the uk
I picked plenty of field rock in my time growing up on the farm.
Chambersburg had snow, but the ground wasn't frozen...It was great for detecting!
Love it! Love you!
Darn good video
That's awesome
you gonna have to come down to Alabama where the ground stays soft year round!
Love your vids!
Nice finish.
It's a can lid your killing me hahahah
I love these videos
Another great day to get out and detect a site/
great job chigg as all ways
Maybe u didn't find alot but it was still a fun video...until next time stay safe!
Thanks for sharing Chigg! Weren’t your hands frozen?! Mine would of been. Happy Hunting! ~ Gypsy
Hey Chig, what are you using that short piece of PVC hanging off your belt? Curious.. Looks interesting..
Enjoyed the camera from a distance, great trip. Got a better idea of technique. Cheers C
I just love King George lll coins and carrots 🥕🥕👨🌾
43:17 - that piece that you called 'maybe pewter' (bottom left). There looks to be a dove/bird just above the center on the left side. There also looks to be a letter O near the bottom center. I wonder if this was a brooch?
Good work
Need to keep lens cleaner cloths same for glasses and sun glasses. Then use a spritzer mister with lens cleaner. Your skin will scratch the lens of any camera. So if you get something on it you won’t ruin it.
Cool hunt! Kwa heri in Swahili is good bye or for luck. I'll see ya is nitkuona or tutaonana (we see each other). There is also badaye (later). There's today's Swahili lesson. Your father may have known an older Swahili word. Language is fluid. It changes with time.
Stay away from the snow Beau!
You should come to Florida panhandle it's in the 70s right now lol
That piece of iron just wanted you to find it Chigg
would micro blaster metal detecting get through the ground? Would be really fun to watch.
Hey. Bow good video I enjoyed it thank you for it and I'm happy that it was a longer video
Hi chigg 🙋♀️
Goodbye in Swahili is 'Kwaheri'.....I think Dad was right......Cheers Chig
that's the noun for goodbye. you would say 'faida' (fai-ee-da) to say goodbye
Yes 😀👍🏻
Worst weather, ye?
I would sell my left eyeball to get ground as molten as you have during wintermonths.. (I live in Finland..)
Have you ever had any Wolves or Coyotes track and stock you? I am curious, as you do alot of woods hunting?
As a Certified Arborist - I admire your 'go-get-em' attitude when digging within 6 inches of the root flare of a Hackberry. You couldn't get me to just stomp the back of a shovel when there's a 100% chance you're going to be banging on a root - but hey, you make it work!
What is a good detector for a beginner? I love your videos
Man you've the life! Thanks for sharing it
Well you found the can lid but you didn't recheck the hole before you left, what that was covering up something real nice like a coin
Great video as always but what is up with all the ads! Sheeshka!
Great Videos , We really enjoy watching all of them ! My wife got me a Garrett Pro for X-Mas ..
What is the round cylinder on your belt behind your bag ?
You're coping Relic Recoverist , with all that dropping!! LOL
ITS GOOD YOU CAN LAUGH ABOUT IT ALL BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME.
It's a banner day for alliteration
why don't you use the 5by8 coil anymore
As a kid, I grew up in Alexandria, VA & old Telegraph Road was my playground. Have you ever thought of detecting in that area?
Hello aquachigger thank you for videos very entertaining and informative I'm looking to purchase a Garrett metal detector and would be happy to purchase through an affiliate link to support you and your channel however I don't see the affiliate link anywhere
Im looking to purchase my first metal detector, do you recommend the AT PRO or the AT MAX? You got me hooked, so i want to start this spring. Also, i live in MD so thats a funny coincidence
Hunters use propane heaters as well ,may have been a ground blind....
Dude is your fly down? LOL! 24:34
Beau , when we get new England vids ?
Chigg, i don't know how your fingers don't fall off from freezing.....
Why don't Americans use mad micks during winter when the ground is frozen? The picks Australians use would make mince meat of that frozen ground. You would be surprised that the strike rate on hitting coins is LOW about as often as you put a shovel through a coin.
Its COLD
Hey man
Does anybody at max beep all the time when they are out and about?
Don't know about sileeya! But I know what Wahoo says good video brofesser later!
Who knew they had Pepsi back then lolllllllllllllllllllllll
Kwaheri is good bye in Swahili.
According to google translate what you said means good by (nzuri na). I'll see you is nitakuona.
Got here early. 13th thumbs up .32nd view. Gotta love the Garrett.
Can lid makers thank you for attention paid to our work. Do not hold your breath!
I live in a town that was a big location for the revolutionary war I wanna go look for stuff we have a fort in the center and a main river that was used for transporting the gotta called fort stanwix
You absolutely should!
Granny would have us to throw the trash in a sinkhole below the house.
Indonesia detecting hi all
Take the good with the bad I reckon.

First, keep detecting
The ground is not frozen here in Arizona!
