Good day there. Cool stuff. As an aside, I am in S TX where it is 105. I would have given just about anything to have access to that river today. I have a river that runs behind my house but it is just wicked nasty and definitely not a place to cool off. Although, it may have some cool stuff to find if you can stand the stench of a stagnant, nearly dry river.
When I grow up, which should be anytime soon now since I will be 50 in November, I want to be just like you, Aquachigger! (Just kidding! 😂) Yeah that plate is awesome!

Nice finds Chigg! Need to remember that a found .22 caliber bullet can still be from the Civil War era. The .22 Short was born in 1857 and the first metallic cartridge was the mighty 30 grain black powder .22 Short cartridge designed for the Smith and Wesson Model 1 revolver.
It’s just amazing how many bullets, canon balls, shells and mortars are still out there just laying around from over 150 years ago let alone how many are buried from the war I hope someday before I’m no longer able I’d like to find just a couple items from the civil war.
