Nice video Beau as usual. Always makes my day since for health reasons I can't get out much. I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in may which has matastisized to my hip. But believe it or not , I still metal detect quite a bit for someone who was given 6 months to live. I refused all treatment. Just wanted you to know how your videos are always a joy to watch. I've been following you about a year or so. Enjoy life while you can. Keep the videos coming. Thanks.
@@jmparsons7331 thank you I have found peace with God and just put it all in his hands. I still am doing what I enjoy. Just yesterday I found a 1935 walking liberty, my first one. I really appreciate your thoughts of kindness thank you.
Aquaghagger , you know what's really the best about you . you don't just medal detect but you make it an adventure and explain about what you have found . My son and I been watching you for along time . He lives in NY the last ten years so he texts me every night the videos that you post . Sean's been wanting a new medal detector water proof and was just under 600.00 so I decided to buy that for him . he's had it about 3 weeks and has found some really neat things . He's trying to get his wife interested in doing medal detecting . the first one my wife and I gave him around 2 years he has found a ton of old coins and other things . Sean and I watch your show every day . we still live in the North Woods of Wisconsin so are son is about 1200 miles from here .
one last thing Beau I really like your videos of traveling on the rivers they are places I will never see and another thing you go through so much crap literally to get these videos I for one really appreciate it thanks
If it's life insurance salesmen ringing just tell them you are standing in the middle of a river with a metal detector digging for unexploded shells and there is a thunderstorm on the horizon.... I don't think they'll bother you again.
I miss my old friends rambling its almost like when someone is mad at you and doesn't talk much he never even said hold your breath Beau I know you have over a million subs and keeping everyone happy is impossible so don't worry about me I will watch if you even if you never talk because nobody finds the stuff you do and after awhile your like and old friend I never met I just hope your doing what makes you happy thanks for the video pall
The reason for the big holes in the muzzle loader bullets is so the pressure from the burning powder will make the back part of the bullet to spread out and grab the rifling in the barrel. Made them a lot more accurate to.
Very cool stuff. I miss metal detecting for Civil War relics. I always loved finding bullets. Depending on the site, I'd dig every signal I got just to see what it was. Found a nice 32lber cannonball that way.
Beau: Hey Wife, I found this awesome spring that probably came off of a Civil War Wagon. Ain't it Kool? Looky, Looky. Wife: Aw that's great honey. Now go put your treasure it in the new shed you built, shed number 35.
I really enjoy the bits where we hang on and go whizzing up the river on the Pigrig, sorry Chiggrig, ( misheard once and it tickled me) with you. Some of it looks a bit like our river entrances to the sea. I can almost smell the air. And the water. I really enjoy the water hunts. The way the cloud of wafting ground cover clears and......there it is....uncovered after 160years. It amazes me that more of these sites are not protected. I suppose there are so many of them it’s impossible. Or they are just everywhere. The American Civil war was such a sad, tragic war. The more I read, the sadder it makes me. A whole generation of beautiful young men. Just like WWI in Europe. So wasteful. Ah well.
some of the horse shoes you are finding are mule shoes...with the artillery button kinda makes sense....i helped my dad shoe ours in the 50's before we got our first tractor. good job!!!
If he is in maryland on the potomac river the c and o runs parallel with the river with a toe path in between them which was where the mules would walk that would pull the boats along the canal which was used for transportation during this era because of all the dams and creeks running into the river.
That is really cool. I have watched your videos for quite some time but south Arkansas isn't known for much activity. I have been detecting since 89 but what it was known here has been detected for 50 years now. So finding stuff is slim. but I have to wonder how many Indian artifacts do you run across? I would think quite a few arrowheads being rivers were life sustaining to the natives.
There are so many civil war minne balls, etc., (whatever they're called,) they are everywhere. I would love to find some if I ever go out east. I need to go detecting this fall. You are staying busy at it. You must have a lot of things to display! Great video. Hey, an artillery button, awesome find. Thank you Aquachigger. 👍
Congrats on your finds. Glad you made it home safe, you should hook up a bracket on the front of your kayak, to slip one of those bright torches , to use as a head light.
A Confederate button in the water is one of the hardest things for me to find and a water plate can't wait to find and experience it. On land yes but water is harder than people think .
Quick suggestion for your foggy goggles, a tiny bit of toothpaste and water, wipe over the inside and dry with a cloth, should get a milky powder residue, wipe off to clear and i think its the flouride stops fogging. I use it snorkeling and on the mirror in the bathroom. Some nice finds, enjoying the history lesson.👍👍
Shane Von Harten it cleans of the film left over from the manufacturing process. They make commercial products to help with anti fogging...one of the best and cheapest is baby shampoo
Very cool finds. I’ve only ever found one civil war bullet, Sharps I believe, and was totally accidental. Was kicking rocks in a walkway and one felt weird. Happened to see where it ended up and grabbed it. Was a thrilled little kid. This was in Atlanta.
You have had a great few weeks on the river! I felt the first nip in the air this week hinting that fall is coming! Im ready for some good land hunts and cool weather!
This guy is a beast. I think about cottonmouths coming out of every log he gets close to. I don't get it, he has no fear. The older I get, the more snakes become more venomous.! Lol I wonder if he sets off blackcats in those downed trees just before shooting the video?
Had to come back and post again...... at 0:39 the sand bar looks mighty familiar. I think in another video you made camp there.... you put up a hammock and clothes line ??????? maybe wrong but there's always a possibility I'm right. Thanx Chigg and see ya on the next
I wonder how many of us were going, go left a little Chigg, it's right there...LOL I also had to laugh at the fact that you will dive into nasty old river water but you avoided the nice clean sprinkler water...Hahahaha!!! thanks for the video Beau, hope all is going well for you!
Them mini-balls are pertty Chigg. Wish I was there. I’ve been trying to find locations near my house where stuff like that might be but ain’t found nothin yet.
One of the reasons you find horseshoes in the creeks and rivers is when horses walk in mud they tend to hit the back of their front hoof pushing down and prying of the shoes , Just like and old fashion (. Heelee )
Thanks for sharing this. I am wondering why shell casings are so rare? I know one reason is probably because many of the Civil-War bullets were muzzle-loaded and the arms of general era, but I can't remember you finding many - if any - casings across all of the 40 or so videos that I have watched.
Hey Chigg, those 2 BB guns are in quite decent shape, if you disassemble them you should be able to get them working in no time, and replacement parts should be kinda cheap. Also cool bullets I hadn't seen an enfield one yet! very nice :)
@@dingocat___5552 yeah surely there's gonna be some rust but i'm sure it'll be minor, they look like they have been there for a week or so. Plus you can fix thoste things with basically spit and good will xD

So enjoy the underwater hunts! Looked pretty dark on the way back... Excellent finds too! Thank-You!

I wish you could make a hour long video like this one some day Chigg. I like watching the longer videos of the bullets and everything else.
I got a feeling there is much to be found at this site. Awesome trip. The A button was an awesome find in and of itself.
Love ending my work day with a Chigg video. Nice way to relax.
you and me both I cant weight for the next one
Hi chiggs.i really enjoy getting up in the morning have a lovely cuppa tea and watching you on an adventure. Thanks. 6 am here..Nottingham. England..
He does show some pretty places.
Hi Chigg. The chain looks like a hobble chain for horses or oxen. The leather straps that go around the front legs is gone. Just a suggestion

Hi Beau
Yay an early morning with the Chigg is a great morning.
Peace

I like the river rides, good hunt and a funny statement "Beavers like corn because its delicious!"
Gonna have to get a headlight for that kayak
Donna Broussard A hiking headlamp would work like a charm! The better ones really have the lumens.

Chigg, that Artillery button was awesome!!! I’m partial because I was a Redleg 😁 The Spencer casing was a fantastic color! Moar please 👍👍👍

Chig...love the channel. It is very therapeutic to me. The first item you found, the chain, reminded me of a grease or swab bucket chain for a cannon.
Love to see more of the capabilities of the Chig rig.

Thanks for another great adventure. Love the bullets!
I loved the A button. I wish we had cool relics like that around here.
"these boards. They look like... Boards." - The Chigg. At his finest in the water!
3 & half hour traveling time!!!! DAYYYYYUMM. Dedication for you.
Whoa! It got dark quick! Nice bullets and artillary button! Woohoo!! HH! LIVING THE LIFE!!
I don’t know if y’all have water moccasins there. But here in Texas. I’d be extra weary of all those trees piled up on the river bank. 👀

J Phillips maybe the kayak scares them away?
I would imagine the river water is too cold for cotton mouths. With him being able to stand in most spots and all the rocks he is in head waters.
i love watching your videos ive never been metal detecting, but watching you makes me want to invest in one.
Oh wow, I so enjoy the ride in the boat view when you go places.

You find all the good stuff, down here in central Florida I don't find anything old. Keep up the good work
Hey Chigg. Great to see you on the river.
That was a crossman 760 and a daisy powerline 880. Cool finds. If your and air gun enthusiasts. Wink wink. Lol.

Keep it going Chigg. Love it.
I have no doubt that this will indeed be a mega awesome adventure
I like seeing them bullets and muskets and bayonets you find.
I discovered you very recently.I absolutely love your adventure videos!!!!!
Hi Chugg
What was that water spraying out into the river over the top of the trees. You were on your way home. Thumbs up
It appears the river is near a field in that shot. The water shooting out of the trees is likely a large irrigation system for the field...
