There's also Maroon 5 who released the massive hit "Moves Like Jagger" in 2011 with Christina Aguilera, which revitalised both of their careers as well as a spot on the voice as Adam Levine and Christina have both been known for their work on the voice. Even though Maroon 5 doesn't sit well with the public nowadays, this was definitely a boost to get their popularity back on streaming services.

    1. AC/DC - Thunderstruck
The second half of the 1980s was not very successful for the band, and, reaching the 1990s, with the oversaturation of the hard rock scene, there were speculations that AC/DC would fall into obscurity. The Aussie band however made a glorious return with The Razor's Edge (1990), which features their most famous song to date, "Thunderstruck". 1993's Big Gun from Last Action Hero solidified their stay into the mainstream, and 2010's Iron Man 2 would allow them to make another awesome comeback.
    2. Gwen Stefani - Sweet Escape
Gone were the days of No Doubt, but this song transformed the blonde bombshell from an alternative band's vocal into a household name with a very successful solo career.
    3. Daft Punk - the Tron: Legacy soundtrack
Daft Punk are icons of the European EDM scene, with their song "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" being a mainstream icon. Kanye resurrected the song in 2007, but their real comeback came in 2010, when they made the soundtrack for Tron: Legacy, which is a greatly underrated masterpiece, but showed their greatness. The release of "Random Access Memories" in 2013 made them get to the top of the charts, especially with Pharrell Williams and "Get Lucky". They were on top and remained there until their split in 2021.

The Chili Peppers should definitely be on this list... TWICE!
After John's departure in 1992, where he spiraled down in drug addiction and Anthony fighting his own battle with drug addictions, Dave Navarro came in and they recorded One Hot Minute. At the time and now considered a great underrated album, it was an underwhelming album compared to Blood Sugar Sex Magik.
John came back in 1998 and they recorded Californication, which became their most successful album. The Chili Peppers released 2 more terrific albums in By The Way and the grammy award winning Stadium Arcadium.
John left again in 2009 and they released 2 albums, I'm With You and The Getaway, which were still good, but nothing close to what they released prior to the 3 albums mentioned above. Not saying that Josh was terrible or anything, he just didn't have that Frusciante genius.
In 2019, John came back and the Chili Peppers' sound return to form with Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen.
Like I said, 2 great comebacks in their career.

Madonna herself had a couple of moments of her own.
After her early 1990's Erotica era, she was being quickly shelved as a 1980's has-been, but then she released Frozen and she experienced a massive career revival.
Next decade, she struggled after her original American Life music video nearly destroyed her career. She then released her massive hit Hung Up and started what some nowadays call Madonna's last era of mainstream greatness.

Saved how? The album she put out before she co-starred with Bradley Cooper in "A Star is Born" was Joanne in 2016. That album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and went platinum (her fourth album to debut at #1). Following the release of Joanne's second single, "Million Reasons" she was the headliner for the Superbowl Half-time Show in 2017, which gave the "Million Reasons" single a boost back into the top 10 and a boost to album sales as well. "A Star is Born" and "Shallow" both came out in 2018 so it seems like she was on a pretty steady trajectory of success. The movie and the song were both brilliant - I think some of her absolute best work - but her career was doing just fine when "Shallow" came out.

@@allih8021I love Joanne & it has some of her best writing, no doubt.
But in regards to her career, the casual listener didn’t really give it a second listen. I remember so many people online & critics saying how they wanted “old Gaga” back & Million Reasons didn’t peak at #3 (or #4) until after the Super Bowl.
Joanne laid the groundwork but Shallow (whether you like the song or not, I was bigger fan personally of I’ll Always Remember Us This Way) put her comeback into overdrive. The song is now the most awarded song is history & (unless you had been following her vocal trajectory like the Sound of Music tribute or her Frank Sinatra tribute) this was the first time the GP had heard her vocal abilities & reintroduced her back into the general public’s favor.
You make excellent points & I totally agree with you but Shallow, personally, I think was the moment the whole world went “I need to go back & listen to Gaga”. Once again, you make very valid points and I totally agree with you, but these are just my personal opinions
