I had no symptoms....nothing...no pain, no bleeding, but had iron deficiency anemia that my primary care doctor blew off, saying if I wanted to know the cause, to go to a specialist. I did find a specialist and now I have no left colon. I appreciated your video on Xeloda, as I am just beginning that this week and am super terrified.
This is why it’s so important to get screened when you hit 45…you want to catch it early before it starts presenting symptoms. Of course, many of us didn’t have the luxury of reaching that age before symptoms appeared. I hope you’re doing ok after your first day of Xeloda 💙
My dr keeps saying my anemia is due to my menstrual cycle. My menstrual cycle is 4 days max and not heavy. I used to get really heavy periods for up to 10 days prior to having my kids 11 years ago. Now since I’m having rectal bleeding I’m about to get a colonoscopy.
Well you’ve got probably the best videos about this type of cancer, and a whole RUclips! I’m always searching for information from patients stories of what they went through just exactly like you explained not from me hospital not from a cancer center a person a survivor a cancer patient their true own stories that they record and put on RUclips! That’s what I want to hear that’s what we need more of an RUclips. So thank you thank you thank you Much for posting your personal story. I knew if I kept searching I would find a personal story somewhere LOL So by listening to your story and researching for cancer patient stories, I don’t have cancer or that I know of. But I know somethings going on and it seems to be matching most of the symptoms that match Colon rectal bowl Cancer in ovarian cancer. Cancer is huge in our family everybody had cancer from every cancer you can think of breast bowel stomach prostate lung bladder and melanomas cancer. Are all spread out through both sides of my family. Including my immediate family! Do you know what the real stickler is here? My husband didn’t have any cancer on either side of his family and not in his immediate family. But yet he passed away not long ago, pancreatic cancer. Thank you for this information. I hope more people post personal videos from their own home not linked to cancer centers etc., their own stories, with symptoms symptoms.
Thank you SO much! That's exactly why I wanted to start this channel. Pretty much all I could find were videos from a hospital or cancer center and they summarized the entire cancer journey in 10 minutes. So sorry to hear about your husband. Has your family been tested for any genetic mutations that could predispose all of you to certain types of cancer?
Wow. I just had my colonascopy and found obstruction. Dr did not confirm what it is but it's large. Next step ct dr visit and schedule testing. Wish me luck. I hope you are doing well today.
Gives me hope for my sister she was same as you they found tumour and could not get the camera past it. Nurse told her it was cancer she went for scan today to see if it has spread.

I hope my gf survive also .. I am from Philippines .. god bless us all please pray for my wife
I’m watching this because for the last few years I’ve experienced very similar symptoms but have put off talking to my doctor because I just figured I was getting older and menopause and all that. Had enough blood in my stool to scare me into going. My colonoscopy is next week but GI wanted me to be prepared for what she feels is a very probable scenario. It’s taken 3 weeks to even get in for a colonoscopy. I scared shitless (pun very much intended). But your video has given me some hope. Thank you.
I’m glad to hear you’re going in for a colonoscopy. 3 weeks isn’t too bad of a wait time (at least in the US). I hope you get answers so you can begin treating what’s causing your symptoms.

I'm almost 30. I need to get checked. The bleeding started 11 years ago. I didn't do anything. Now I have debilitating cramps in the same 2 spots every time it happens. Half the week I'm constipated the other half its diarrhea. The bleeding happens atheist once a week. I pass in a squatting position and don't push at all even when I'm constipated. When the bleeding started at 18 I had a colonoscopy done. The doctor told me he found polups but said it probably wasn't a problem and the state wouldn't pay for any more medical procedures for me considering I was getting out of prison a month later. I'm terrified to go get tested. I've just been assuming i have chrons. I've been hospitalized twice in the last year due to passing blood from both ends during flare up(doctors said I have no bowel sounds in those 2 problem spots. I dont have insurance or money to see a doctor and doctors here in Florida tend to be pretty heartless, if you can't pay they'll sue.
John Vapes oh my gosh, I’m so sorry. Whether or not you have insurance shouldn’t be a barrier to being screened for cancer. Have you checked to see if there are any non-profits in your area that offer financial assistance for screening? Have you looked into Medicaid? I hope you can get screened soon.

Hello I hope youre doing well. I think it’s important to realize anyone can get any disease any age. Percentages mean nothings its either possible or its not. Btw Ive had 3 “ rare” conditions so far less than 1% so theres that lol. Sending blessings to everyone watching 🙏.
See one of the biggest issues with a lot of people and why we lose a lot of people is because Hardwell essay half the population doesn't have health insurance and the free clinics really don't help
I have all symptoms that you described in previous other videos, seen my doctor, who refeered me to a GI for a endoscopy and colosxopy, then went to the emergency where they did some blood and urine test AND A CT SCAN and according to the doctor at the hospital everything was ok… but im super worried and extremelly anxious about the endoscopy and coloscopy coming up sunday.
I’m in San Antonio and I am having these issues. I have hpv and I don’t have insurance. I went to emergency room and they tested my blood so they say but felt like they didn’t want to help me diagnose me. They just referred me to gastrointestinal doctor but I can’t afford it right now. I just want to know what’s wrong with me but it seems no one wants to help.
I’m having some weird things going on, after a bout of severe food poisoning… but I’m (embarrassingly) terrified of the colonoscopy prep. I know that’s dumb, but… is there an easier way to go about this? 😮
I don’t care at all about the starving feeling… I’m just terrified of the awful abdominal cramping causing vomiting. I’d rather jump into the Grand Canyon than throw up. (It’s stupid, I know.)
I was told almost like you were in the hospital after colonoscopy. She said she found a mass close to my ilyium, she would not say cancer in front of me but she told my wife what she thought she had found she said she personaly called lab for rush. I found out less than 24 hours later it was positive for cancer. Adenocarcinoma. When I told my wife she said she already knew. The Dr had came out before I woke up and told her she found a mass and that she couldn't make the diagnoses till labs came back.
That’s interesting she told your wife her guess but not you. I suppose maybe she thought you’d forget or wouldn’t understand everything coming out of the anesthesia from the colonoscopy. That was a really fast rush on the labs!
@@SurvivorJelena I hoped you would catch that! I don't even remember her coming in and taling to me apparently she did mention it. I just didn't remeber As for the labs yes they were quick The hospitalist did not think they would come back till Monday(this was Thursday).

@@SurvivorJelena I’m scheduled for colonoscopy at end of the month. Also getting more blood done next week. Just took awhile to get the colonoscopy scheduled
Yup. And this video furthers the fact that she got extremely good medical care and that everything was expedited. It took 4 years of abnormal paps before doctors would get a biopsy and order a copolscopy for me... and it was scheduled 4 months down the line once they did. It must be nice for doctors to RUSH you in for procedures and RUSH your samples in for confirmation. If most people were treated this way - many more would recover from these diseases and not die or suffer endlessly before getting diagnosed
In Canada they give you a scrip for Purg-Odan. 2 packs. Good gawd. I got my script for my colonoscopy and 2 days before my surgery date.. I got a positive pregnancy test. So here I am 2 years later still having the runs 8 to 10 times a day. I have 6 children under 12yo. I am basically going to go until I drop at this point. 😶
@shannonsmith2642 I did. Last December I got a new doctor. He did so many tests on me it wasn't funny. I have IBS. Anemia "now going for iron transfusions". On meds for my stomach.Doing much better now. 🥰
If you do a search term on colorectal cancer it's all medical hospitals doctors etc. and you are the only private channel that pops up with the doctors and hospitals... And that's how I found you
And that’s exactly why I created this channel! Hearing detailed stories from another survivor gives another layer of what to expect from someone that’s actually been through it. Thanks for finding me and watching 💙
Where do we go to see all your videos in the order in which they were uploaded? I'm having a difficult time locating all of them and in what order to watch them they seem to be scattered all over the place.
Go to my main channel page (ruclips.net/user/SurvivorJelena), then click on the Videos tab, the sort by Date Added (oldest). That should hopefully give you them in order 🤞🏼💙
What do you do if yout dr. have already found colon and rectal pre cancerous polyps, and you have family history and are at high risk, but there is no one to take you or take you home?
I wonder if they still would give you some slight sedation just to relax you so they can get the camera in more easily? Some people are given the option here in the States to have the procedure done without sedation. I haven’t been given that option yet, and I haven’t asked 😅
They used to do it while people were awake here in the states but most all have gone to putting people under now. The anesthesia they use now days you wake up easily.
I did not have a stool test prior because I wasn’t at an age where I should have tested and once you’re having symptoms doctors want you to do a colonoscopy and not the stool test.
Did you have a difficulty to poo, I mean it might take you several hours to having poo process and mostly even after that long hours you will still feel not complete? Were your stools look like ribbon or such?
Usually, it’s not regular anesthesia, not like if you were to have surgery. I forgot what it’s called but technically, they don’t put you put completely under. It’s just enough where you blink and it’s over! That’s the part I like about it. Haha. I’ve had 4 of them!
Can a 15 year old have colon cancer? I didn't experience having bloody stool nor any type of pain but my bowel habits suddenly changed a bit almost a month ago, my stool became a bit thinner and i don't know if i am constantly feeling like i have an urge to have a bowel movement, maybe it's psychological, idk. I want to go to doctor for a check but my mom basically says i'm talking shit. What should i do?
It isn't common, but I have heard of a child as young as 11 getting colorectal cancer. I'm glad you told your mom about it. Maybe keep a journal on your bathroom habits and note daily if the stool is thinner, how many times you go, the urgency of the visits, and anything else that seems different. Then you'll also have evidence to show a doctor the next time you go in. Do you go in every year for a physical?
@@SurvivorJelena i'll keep a journal, thanks for answering :) so far it hasn't been getting thinner (though my stool can still be normal i.e. wider) and it isn't really an urge, my tenesmus is pretty mild, i just feel (or my mind is making it up because i was really scared to death when i heard that those symptoms could be a warning sign of cancer) something slightly strange in my rectum. about the frequency, it remained pretty much the same as it was ever before - 3 times daily. yes, i go in for a physical every year and so far i was really healthy, i don't smoke, i don't drink alcohol and i've been playing basketball since i was 11. once again i'm really glad you answered. :)
My brother was diagnosed with colon cancer at 25. They estimated that he must have developed it around 15 but nobody thought it could be cancer because his age. He was stage 4 by the time we found out. Never ignore those kinds of symptoms.
I’m so sorry about your brother Shelby. You’re right, the symptoms shouldn’t be ignored. That’s why I encouraged keeping a journal of symptoms and when they’re experienced so you’ve got concrete evidence to bring to your doctor when you talk about the issues you’re having.
Survivor Jelena I just mean that you should always be your own strongest advocate. If you’re having issues and you think something is wrong and the doctor won’t listen...find a doctor who will. I think it’s so easy to just listen and assume all doctors know what they’re talking about..but cancer is one of those things that gets missed a lot when you don’t fit the mold of what a cancer patient would typically be. I was talking to my doctor the other day about some bathroom issues I’ve been having and when I told her my stools are suddenly thin, she looked alarmed and told me to get a colonoscopy. I’m so used to being dismissed with concerns like that, that it freaked me out that I was being taken seriously cause I’m 29 and doctors have never acted worried at all.
The fact of the matter is if you don't have the money for the health insurance though they really don't want to help you out with seeing someone that can help you out
The doctors found a nodule outside of my colon. Nobody has actually done a biopsy yet and I can't get in for one for an entire year. Psychologically it's hell. My doctor keeps telling me not to worry because all the specialists who've seen my results say it looks like endometriosis, except for one. She suggested a C125 test which came out as 51. My twin sister just died of cancer in August so I'm frighteneed. Having to wait full year just to find out what's going on is appalling. I'm actually thinking of going abroad for a biopsy since everything is so slow here.
Yes, waiting a year is crazy! Do your doctor's know your twin sister had cancer? I would keep trying to find a doctor's office that would be able to do a biopsy sooner.
Oh my gosh that is incredible. I'm praying for you. I can't believe they can delay a test like that. I would reach out to see how to speed up the process.
The amount of liquids you were drinking it makes me wonder if that's one-size-fits-all. I'd think a smaller thin woman would have to drink less than a large overweight man.
I'm 19 years old. There's a blood in my stool it's very red and my stool color is yellow. I went to a doctor and she give me medicine and after 2-3 days of taking it, my stool back to normal there's no blood present. Then last November 5 that night I ate beef meat for dinner then November 6 in the morning my poop is very hard then after that I got constipated and I always fart. My rectum is in pain. I don't know what to do. I'm so scared.
Thank you for going to see a doctor! It sounds like your most recent episode may have just been from what you ate, and the pain is a result of the constipation. Keep a close eye on what you eat and if you have more troubles. If it keeps happening and there isn't an obvious food that's causing it check back with your doctor.
I'm like can't you do some tests will know we don't just do tests while I'm telling you can you please do tests will you don't have insurance this stuff is crap they don't give a shit unless you have money😢
I’m not sure, and haven’t really gotten a straight answer from anyone as to why. Closest answer is something in the probiotics irritated the tumor and would cause it to bleed 🤷🏻♀️
My heart is full of joy and excitement , Dr RORPOPOR HERBAL is truly the son of his father the medications I order from him can testified to that , A BIG thanks to you doctor Cancer cured💯💯

I’m glad you’re being referred for a colonoscopy. Good luck 💙
Wow you are an amazing story teller. So well organized with the details
Thank you so much!
I knew if I kept searching I would find a personal story somewhere LOL
So by listening to your story and researching for cancer patient stories, I don’t have cancer or that I know of.
May I suggest during your colonoscopy prep, that you get large extra absorbent disposable pads and adult disposable pullups.
Your videos are awesome. I'm a stage 3 rectal cancer survivor of 2 years. Have you considered doing a LARS video?
Thank you! I somehow have never thought of it, but that’s a great idea. I’m putting it on my list of future videos to do ✅
How r u doing now
Weight loss blood in stool thin runny stools polyp removed low grade dysplasia and discharge no follow up. God is good led me here
Wow. I just had my colonascopy and found obstruction. Dr did not confirm what it is but it's large. Next step ct dr visit and schedule testing. Wish me luck. I hope you are doing well today.
Just read this, Hope everything worked out 4 u.
Gives me hope for my sister she was same as you they found tumour and could not get the camera past it. Nurse told her it was cancer she went for scan today to see if it has spread.
Sending you strength as you wait for your sister’s scan results. Hoping it didn’t spread 🤞🏼💙

Thanks for sharing your video you are amazing !
How did it go?
@@nbkleh9 found a bunch of large precancerous polyps that they removed and had to have clips put in due to their size. Doc said had I waited until my insurance deemed it was necessary we would have had a whole different conversation

Incurring a debt to potentially save your life seems like a no brainer. Ask the doctor for a payment plan.

Let me tell you that the night I read the Bible out loud for a few minutes is the night I went to bed with no neck pain. My reading must have healed me I believe. It was pain so bad I could only sleep on my back for years. So I really try to read the Bible out loud every day since then. I believe it can heal more than just neck pain.
So Glad you’re doing well
Any back pain ? Thanks for sharing the video with me . Very helpful and very reassuring.
I didn’t personally experience any as a symptom, but it could be a symptom depending on where the tumor is.
Very interesting. You could be a writer. I was glued to your eyes as you told your journey. Most of talk vidéo 's bore me to death but your video's are entirely the oposite.
Also I have allot of bowel problems and was treated very poorly by the doctor during my painful colon esame. 9:46

Hope everything turned out ok
I just didn't remeber
As for the labs yes they were quick The hospitalist did not think they would come back till Monday(this was Thursday).

I'm done with colonoscopy,i've a ulcers in my rectum and sigmoid colon. Biospy shows nothing, could u please sort this..
Go get yourself checked out. This is not healthy, you need to be healthy to keep up with 6 kids.

What do you do if yout dr. have already found colon and rectal pre cancerous polyps, and you have family history and are at high risk, but there is no one to take you or take you home?
I left out to go get the colonostomy.
Call the office where you would get your colonoscopy and see if they have any suggestions.
I believe (from what I've read) in the UK they do the colonoscopy whilst you're awake, which I can only imagine probably isn't very comfortable!
I wonder if they still would give you some slight sedation just to relax you so they can get the camera in more easily? Some people are given the option here in the States to have the procedure done without sedation. I haven’t been given that option yet, and I haven’t asked 😅
It’s not too bad to be honest. I have another planned next week ☹️
@@overlordone1246 good luck!
You get an option of light IV sedation or ‘gas and air’ I didn’t have anything and it was nowhere as bad as I thought it was going to be
They used to do it while people were awake here in the states but most all have gone to putting people under now. The anesthesia they use now days you wake up easily.
Hello. Prior to your cancer diagnosis, did you ever have a stool test for colon cancer or any type of cancer test?
I did not have a stool test prior because I wasn’t at an age where I should have tested and once you’re having symptoms doctors want you to do a colonoscopy and not the stool test.
What about your blood tests did they show anything that was indicative of cancer?
Kelly J no, they didn’t. I had a physical 3 months before my diagnosis and they ran the standard blood work and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
@@SurvivorJelena did the bloodwork show any anemia when you went to the doctor for rectal bleeding?
@@CN-up3vg no, I wasn't anemic.
Did you have a difficulty to poo, I mean it might take you several hours to having poo process and mostly even after that long hours you will still feel not complete? Were your stools look like ribbon or such?
Thanks for sharing. Did you have any pain in the rectum?
No, I didn’t really have any pain in my rectum before my diagnosis.
Hi, did you have to be put under anesthesia, or did you choose?
Jane B my doctor didn’t give me an option, I was just put under. I didn’t ask if I could be awake so I don’t know if that was an option or not.
Why didn’t they give you Suprep?
I took that for the colonoscopy before this one and I threw up about halfway through the second part of the prep 🤢. It was horrible.

Are you going to see a doctor about it?
The amount of liquids you were drinking it makes me wonder if that's one-size-fits-all. I'd think a smaller thin woman would have to drink less than a large overweight man.
Or someone that has loose stools already when they don’t take any meds should get some less aggressive cleansing directions 🤔

Thank you for going to see a doctor! It sounds like your most recent episode may have just been from what you ate, and the pain is a result of the constipation. Keep a close eye on what you eat and if you have more troubles. If it keeps happening and there isn't an obvious food that's causing it check back with your doctor.
