    Keep up the good work! I'd like to point out one mistake. FAP is not the same as Lynch syndrome. It is the same as HNPCC though :)

      Another make doctors rich video. Just face it you all are money grubbing scum bags. 8k per procedure to make you rich. You even have videos where they calm it their bread and butter procedure . Stop getting tested for the world’s slowest progressing cancer. All you are doing is making doctors and and getting violated, of course some of you
      Might enjoy that too. Doctors need you scarred so they get more people to get the procedure done and make more money.

    My mom’s side is riddled with colon cancer. My mom and my grandma specifically. I’m only 30 and I started having symptoms a few months ago, and just went in for some scopes. They found 3 polyps, hopefully I hear back soon about them

    Mom has stage 4 colorectal cancer 😢 it was diagnosed last June and she had a transverse colostomy procedure because the tumor in her recto sigmoid area is huge and blocking her bowel movements and already metastasized in her liver.
    She is now in adjuvant chemotherapy to prevent the cancer cells from spreading further. If the chemotherapy is successful, her surgeon will perform a Complete Mesocolic Excision or CME.

    hi, I think there is a mistake at 1:38, HNPCC is lynch syndrome, FAP is not lynch syndrome

    Just letting everyone know here that 95 % of these symptoms are also present in inflammatory bowel disease. So please don’t assume cancer right away get checked and find out. They should mention this fact in the video so people don’t panic

    Can anyone shed some light on this question?
    Has anyone with Crohns dealt with the following before?
    Having a Colonoscopy and finding polyps, they're removed and sent for biopsy to find results are cancerous.
    Lead to colon cancer

  • @TonyGarrett-p1c
    @TonyGarrett-p1c 10 месяцев назад +2

    Friends, please get in there and get a colonoscopy as soon as you are old enough for your health insurance to cover it. The procedure is really not a big deal.
    I believe many health plans will actually pay for the whole screening, with no copay. It is just that important to them, and I am sure that their actuaries have calculated the risk of having to pay for cancer treatments vs colonoscopies.

    I have blood in stool for a long time but i don't know what it is. .?

  • @DaRyteJuan
    @DaRyteJuan Год назад +1

    Yeah. SEVENTY PERCENT of colorectal cancers present in the DESCENDING colon and the rectum.
    This means a most screenings can be accomplished using just a flexible sigmoidoscopy.
    Moreover, most perforations occur in the proximal or ascending colon on the right side. Thus, going all the way over to the ascending colon involves high risk for little reward. All the more so if you are a male patient.

      @@karmich6735 if you have been exposed to or done anything anal i highly recommend that you get checked. It wasn’t common back in the day as it was taboo and I’m sure that’s why many baby boomers weren’t exposed, it has become more acceptable in society here in the United States and my hypothesis is that is the exact reason why we see an increased number in colorectal cancer in gen z along with poor diet and immune compromised people

      @@karmich6735 many doctors don’t like discussing that with their patients because it is an uncomfortable topic however, HPV can cause issues in your rectum and sigmoid: I personally have a huge flat polyp in my rectum, and I had a pedunculated one and a half centimeter polyp removed from my sigmoid colon last month I’m 36. Imagine how many years those suckers were growing inside me and i thought I just had IBS. I was assaulted at age 16 by a stranger and I was later diagnosed with HPV. I have no family history of polyps nor am I a smoker or anything like that.
