As a Canadian, where weed has been legal for a couple years now, it's insane to me to think of weed possession as a felony. Now that I've tried it a couple times and been around people who regularly use it, it's basically harmless. Especially when considering how normalized alcohol is, which is 10x worse in every way.

Just stating I work in a healthcare facility and men coming in with long term use have high levels of eostrogen and will often have man boobs because of it. Just because we don’t see short term effects doesn’t mean there are no bad effects. Just saying, your body your choice end of the day
Most people don't realize alcohol IS a hard drug. In terms of health/psychological effects, not so different from meth-both cause extreme changes and are dangerous for some people

@@kazshaw3945 I've used cannabis as medicine for over 30 years. It is a far more effective medicine than other prescription drugs, and far less damaging to your body over time. If I had been taking opiates for 30 years, my body would be in MUCH worse shape. I'm also happily married and have been for over 10 years.

Arresting someone for selling their Oxy but not arresting the doctor who obviously prescribed Oxy to someone who didn't need it. Amazing how the money(doctor) never gets arrested....
There was a Dr in my area that actually did get in trouble for that. A pharmacist actually reported the exorbitant amounts of controlled substances being prescribed and the patients getting early refills. He got his license taken away in my state, then he tried to go to the next state over (just over the bridge) and tried to practice there! He had a friend of mine on Oxy, Xanex, Hydrocodone, Adderall and Ambien. Those are just the ones I remember.
As a physician, I can tell you docs used to get into trouble for undertreating pain. Now the pendulum has swung the other way, you get into trouble for overprescribing pain meds. Pain is real, and patients definitely present in pain, that needs to be addressed. Pain is also easy to fake, and early in my career, I admit I got taken by fakers. The longer you do this, the more hip you get to the fakers. But it is our duty to address the symptoms of our patients. There are obviously docs who are pill pushers, and every doc in every community know who those docs are. If a doc prescribes meds for a legitimate reason, he has nothing to do with what a patient does with those meds afterwards.

Thank you. Getting arrested saved my life, really. When I got caught I would have been able to bond out the next day. But I took that opportunity to get the help I needed to hold myself accountable and asked if I could stay there to go through withdrawals so I couldn’t relapse once I got too sick and wanted to give in. I’ve been clean for 4 years now.

I used to live in RVA and I got pulled for speeding and they “smelled marijuana.” I don’t smoke, have never smoked. They searched and found nothing (because I don’t smoke) but it was pretty funny watching them try to concoct a reason after that. I didn’t even end up with a speeding ticket 😂 I was in Richmond, VA-one of the major heroin/coke thoroughfares…and it was clearly an attempt to search for something harder but the smell of weed was obviously their “pass” to search.

I want say one thing-I understand about pain. I have had 7 surgery’s one of which was a liver transplant. While I understand the need to control this type of issue. If you target pain clinics and other practitioners, people that actually need these meds are having to suffer because health care practitioners are reluctant to prescribe it. BTW I am currently not on any pain meds. But these meds are necessary in certain situations.

Something that really annoys me is when they ask to search your car and you say no and they take it as a sign you’re trying to hide something in this case he is hiding some thing, but in some cases most people just don’t want people digging through their car and I’m one of those people so if I decline I look suspicious I don’t want anybody search through my car let alone cops😂

Anyways, a family member gave me a oak china cabnet... no one wanted it for chinaware, but i saw a prefect home for my 50+ spoons, 15 recyclers, and a swarm of older style big bongs and early era dab rigs. Im so glad to have a nice formal way to show off my glass, and with glass shelves and lighting it looks like a head shop! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to display their glass collection :D

I’m a chronic pain patient and people selling pills just makes me furious. I understand why people buy them, they’re in pain and them I don’t blame. However, it makes it nearly impossible for people in actual pain to be prescribed what is for me and many others, a life enabling medication. It causes law enforcement to force legislators (who are NOT doctors) to disincentivize and severely penalize doctors for trying to treat patients in debilitating pain.
Weed works pretty good for pain a d all the other problems pain causes ,anxiety ,anger, depression etc.
All pills are bad, just smoke weed

One thing I hate is when the cops tell someone to face away from them, but continue to have a conversation and keep telling the person to face away. You can't have it both ways. It is a normal reaction to look at the person you are talking to...

Labor costs equal the hourly cost of each personnel involved times the number of hours spent on the type of call being analyzed. The product of that number times the number of calls per day gives you the daily labor costs attributed to that type of call, in this particular sample, determining manhours spent on drug-related calls. :-)

These are broken people who use drugs to numb the emotional pain. So sad to see them treated like this. Help them, don’t lock them up.

How about legalize all drugs ? More specifically prescription drugs. People that need them and use them responsibly can barely get a prescription from a doctor so where do they turn ? The streets, where you have to worry whether the drugs are real or fake, breaking the law, and safety of your own life from being robbed or killed. Going through healthcare system is a long expensive process to get certain medications and they’ll prescribe unnecessary meds that you don’t need.

Your missing the point! I do have pain medication for ME, MS, Polymyalgic Rheumatica, ect. My Neurologist was wrongly targeted, because of the scumbags selling scripts! Gee! How did they get scripts? As a recovering addict, this was always my #1 fear. I had been stopped while messed up and holding and was somehow letgo a few times, others unfortunately arent so lucky. Every encounter Ive had with a cop like these encounters was very very calm and they were very respectful. It kind of sucks to see how some of these cops act and some of these kids getting locked up because of their problem.
Amazingly, in the US, possession of marijuana for personal use is still treated as possession of narcotics

In the first video, the cop asked the guy "have you been arrested before" and he replied "no", then the cop went and pulled up his record and found he had been charged before. Then the cop got upset because he said the guy was lying.
But the guy was NOT lying, being arrested involves being put in hand cuffs. He was never "arrested" he was "charged". Even I would have had trouble with that question in that situation because he literally was not arrested he just had to go to a court date.
If you are charged with a crime and issued a desk appearance ticket, that means you have been placed under arrest. I've seen people get charged with a felony DWI and only issued an appearance ticket, without even being hand cuffed or taken to jail.

Therefore, he was not arrested. Only charged.

I find it hard to believe that girl was 15 because, one, she looks older, and while that can happen, wouldn't her face have to be blurred? I think the guys lied about her age because they might have given her stuff to hide (notice how she was messing with her bra when the cops pulled up?) as it's well known for females to be taken as bait because the guys don't think about female officers coming and searching them, and especially with her being an alleged minor, they knew to take advantage of the cops because by law, mom would have to be involved. We didn't see the full clip, so I'm not sure what happened.
