If it’s a contest , family wins. I appreciate you taking the time with us. If it was my daughter I’d be a mess! I want you to know how much I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting up each day and finding out what pain in the arse challenge I’m going to spend my morning doing. Take care of yourself and your family 💕
I was/am a mess! I'm a Karen mad momma bear now though! 😆 I'm glad you've been enjoying the challenges! I felt like we've all earned a week to catch up and maybe finish/ almost finish/ work on our canvases a bit! Enjoy!
You know your daughter has been let down by so many of the health care providers…from urgent care fiascos, rheumatologist missing messages, rheumatologist calling the wrong Walgreens, rheumatologist saying how urgent this problem is but saying it could wait until Monday and not telling her to get to the ER. Good grief…there are so many wrongs in this scenario but the one scenario that was NOT wrong is you recognizing your limitations. Your daughter and husband know you and love you enough to know that you could not be of any help in the ER and both of them were ok with your decision. Sundown was already heading towards the ER, your daughter felt secure in the knowledge that you love her but knew you would be a patient too if you stayed. I’m sure it was one of the hardest things you have ever done to leave that hospital but you respected your daughter enough to do as she asked. Bravo to you, Mushy, for helping your daughter by listening to her at the ER. Thanks for sharing and putting this video out.
Thank you for your kind words. I don't know if it's just this town or if it's like this most everywhere, but there's been so many missteps in medical care here. Not only this time with her, but also recently with me. Major things like not detecting titanium tumor clips in mammograms and using the wrong dye in an mri.... I don't know what is going on, but it adds to the fear and mistrust of the medical facilities here. I'm grateful for Sundown and him being so in tune with both Leah and I, such that he could step in and be there when I couldn't and understand without judgment. We really are a strong family unit who understands and respects and looks out for each other. We're very lucky and I'm very grateful.
It's just been a 💩 show week. We all have them. But the kicker was really that Leah could have really not been here right now and we didn't even realize it and it was doctors that did it to her 😞
@@Mushmellow79 and drs wonder why we don’t trust them fully as we should… smh… that truly is the scariest notion, as a parent! I personally would be suing the shit out of any urgent care that almost cost my child their life… why are those individuals even practicing medicine there if they seem incompetent?!
I'm poking around and checking out the law on the area to see if I might have any cause of action and if so I'll contact a local attorney for a consultation 💯
I’m sorry that as a family you have been let down on numerous occasions. Sadly I fear this is the same here in the UK - if that is of ANY comfort to you. If you receive good treatment all is well and good but when it goes wrong, boy does it go wrong. It is a concern to me personally that those of us who receive these biological injections may have an allergic reaction, and how it would be treated long term whilst the effects of that particular injection wears off and leaves the body. I was on Humira (which works fantastically well for 5 years), but when that stopped working about 6 months ago I was moved on to Cosentyx. This is kinda working alongside some other meds, but nowhere near as good as the Humira back in its heyday. I really hope Leah finds her current treatment plan for her reaction leaves her feeling more comfortable (and safe) whilst the injection wears off. As for being a Mumma bear…….we Mummas are all like it when it comes to our cubs. My own mother is insisting on accompanying me to my next consultation appointment. I get it totally. She watches me go through the wringer, and she feels helpless so anything she CAN do to help will make her feel better. And honestly, I appreciate the support. Sometimes when you are dealing with medical issues, someone having your back and fighting your corner is hugely appreciated and you feel less ‘alone’.
It's sad that it's so hard and so rare to find a "good" doctor that "cares" and is actually helpful. It's one of the main reasons we make that awful trip up north every month or so! The medical care is SO worth the trip. It's sad that this is what the medical system had come to, even across the pond!
Thanks for sharing… sending healing vibes. I appreciate your vulnerability but on the other hand you never have to justify yourself to social media!! Your family is and comes first!
💯 me and my family come first always! I just believe in transparency and clarity and just really wanted people to know what was so interfere-y that my videos have been unpredictable and late and in some cases missing altogether 😆
I don't care her age she'll always come first in all things! I just had to tell the story and share the bs-ery that was going on here with the medical care!
Hi Mushy, I did had a roar feeling that something was wrong. I do not judge, and no one should. I wish the best to your daughter and you and your husband. Take the time you need!
Dont apologize for taking care of your baby. She comes first. What others think doesnt make it a law. No reason for anyone to say anything other than uplifting and prayers because you are her mom not us. Hugs sweetie keep us updated when your able to
THIS IS WHY PEOPLE DON'T TRUST MEDICAL PEOPLE !!! ALSO drill it in your daughter's head that ALLERGIC reactions can happen so so fast. Don't play around with waiting to see if it gets better. Especially when your breathing/heart/throat are starting to feel bad !!!
Im implying youre the bestest thing there is out there !! ( ps. If anyone has issues with you , send them my way. I wish my parents cared an iota as much as you guys do for your daughter).@Mushmellow79
She was struggling with work ethic vs self preservation. Something both her parents also struggle with 😆 on top of that i don't think she was thinking clearly because of for she was feeling/ being foggy headed and feverish and tired. She definately knows better. She watched me go into anaphylatic shock 2x and knows why we have epi- pens in the house! But you know young adults. They think they know better than us old geezers
Stopping mid video for this response because I just got angry for ya’ll. Hi Mushy! Walgreens pharmacy technician here!! If the medication was not a control medication (which if it’s a steroid and topical med, doesn’t sound like it), that pharmacy ABSOLUTELY could have pulled those scripts to the pharmacy your daughter called and did NOT have to wait until that other pharmacy opened! 🤬 All of our locations are linked and we do have access to transfer from one location to another unless it’s a controlled medication (meds that would have required your ID), then that would be a different story. I am SO sorry they did her such an injustice of not filling her meds like they were supposed to. If this happens again in the future, keep this tidbit in your back pocket!
Thank you for letting me know! It was literally just prednisone and some topical situation. Nothing controlled. I couldn't understand it either! And I couldn't understand how they could look and see which store the px was sent to but couldn't just snatch it from the system and fill it? Walgreens is Walgreens is Walgreens ya know? I have quite a few Karen mode lawyer speak phone calls to make tomorrow/ Monday if for nothing else than to lodge complaints so the urgent cares and Walgreens can take a hard look at their current practices and the fact that people's lives depend on them doing their jobs!

Don't ever be sorry for taking care of your health issues. You are more important than any video to be on time!!! You remember that!!!
