Finally I did something I've been waiting, I've done my remake of the popular video. As I said last time, my Computer was very weak to load textures for characters from DotA 2, many think that I did that on purpose, but it is not. In this remaster, I added high texture for DotA 2 characters and new characters for comparison.

Как я говорил в прошлый раз, мой комп'ютер был очень слаб чтобы загрузить текстуры для персонажей из доты 2, некоторые думают что я специально это сделал, но это не так. В этом ремастере я добавил высокие текстуры для героев доты 2 и новых героев для сравнение.

Ребята, если что, этот ролик не "ХотС против Доты 2", а просто сравнение моделей персонажей наиболее подходящих друг другу.
Модели из ХотСа намного лучше, но есть и исключения, это отрицать бессмысленно.
Если хотите узнать, какая игра лучше, то вот вам моё мнение : обе игры хороши, у каждой есть свои плюсы и минусы. Мне больше нравится ХотС. И нет, он не такой легкий, как может показаться с первого взгляда.
Вообще, странно, что некоторые думают, что если из игры убрать фарм, она станет сразу лёгкой.
Мне тоже ХоТС больше нравиться, нет нудного фарма, с первых секунд игры драка.. ну и конечно ХоТС куда более командная игра чем ДОТА, соло тащить не получится, особенно если противники хоть немного командно играют... Хотя самым большим косяком ДОТЫ считаю наличие всего одной карты, вообще никакого разнообразия.. в общем ДОТЕ как первопроходцу жанра респект, но она уже безнадежно отстала от времени...
П.С. еще плюсом ХоТС можно назвать персонажей, это не какие то ноунеймы с абилками, а личности с богатой историей... черт, некоторым персонажам уже третий десяток лет пошел! :)
Я только что посмотрел Dota WTF и нашел ещё один плюс хотса : нет рандомности. В хотсе тебя не застанят 30 раз подряд с шансом 25%. Да и не только стан, тот же эвейжн, криты так же работают.
В доте псевдорандом криво работает,игра говно(наиграл 3к часов было 4к ммр около года назад)
Еще бы! Особенно в Лиге Хотс дает настоящий челендж, когда один скилл пущенный мимо цели может стоить целой партии.

dota dragon knight would win in the long run since he has tremendous armour and health regen, while the hots one has no armour and his health runs out, also hots numbers are higher than dota numbers, so 500 dmg in hots would be around 300 dmg in dota.

Sadly a lot of the particles, animations, jiggle maps, and cloth physics for the Dota2 models don;t work in SFM, so they are missing them here. The heroes are shown a lot bigger in HotS, so they would have larger polymesh and textures, it just makes sense. I just wish Blizzard stopped with the massive shoulder pads!

Beyond all the typical "COPY" comments coming from people who don't know the history of the games little alone the genre itself, I struggle to say who really 'wins' I don't think there is a winner as far as whose models are better. Yes Blizzard technically owns the models all of Dota 2 (minus the upcoming Monkey King) base their heroes off and yes it is correct that the HotS models detail far outshines Dota 2's with just the small details, the textures of the skin and clothing plus the little details like scars, clothes and objects but I feel D2 has its own merits in the sense while it may have started off as a mod for WC3 (technically the roots go back to SC:BW) but how they have designed a lot of their heroes to make them unique but still feel like the character they were originally linked to is amazing, a lot of them looking good in their own way. I can't pick a winner cause there isn't a contest here in my eyes. They are both amazing at what they do in different ways and reach out to a much different audience each way.
The thing I find interesting is that dota clearly has copied diablo and starcraft characters aswell. I mean just look at Skeleton King, clearly a copy of Leoric _THE_ Skeleton King. Im a dota player and I play hots aswell but I just find it silly that valve cant come up with their own stuff. Even newer releases has been copied :(

Dota owes most of it's existence to Blizzard, particularly Warcraft 3, while both games are different enough from each other, this is mostly a case of name brand vs best value.

Considering most of the characters in Heroes were around before DOTA 2 was even created, I don't really think this holds much water. Yes, DOTA 2 was out before HotS, but the characters themselves were present in WoW and Starcraft especially, long before DOTA 2. It's actually a WHOLE LOT more likely that the characters in their respective games were inspiration for DOTA 2's characters.

nope, you are totally wrong, just because they look the same doesnt mean they took inspiration from warcraft, the only reason why they look the same is because original dota was a custom map in warcraft and so they have to use the warcraft hero models, as for skills, lore, and concept of the heroes from dota are orginal
Well they did took inspiration from blizzard but they do not have same characters though as in dota 2 they created their own lore and each character has their own traits and personalities different from their blizzard counterparts

I like hots too but i still prefer dota 2 . I guess it's just up to personal preference.
HotS was released later, so the base models are mostly better looking
Ive played both, prefer dota 2 but think hots has a lot of potential when they flush out the hero pool and fix some balancing and meta issues. Mostly play poe now anyways

Valve makes good games but not good as blizzard but they make game mechanics good.

Also Valve does a better job at polishing Dota 2 than Blizz does with HotS. I play both actively and regularly and the companies have different priorities.

HoTS 2.0 has an awesome gameplay. I actually switched from DoTA2. There are some nice gameplay features that make the learning curve easier at the same time more versatile character progression. Now i feel DoTA2 is outdated.
Hots gameplayis less serious than Dota 2, and faster. That's why it's more fun to play.
Not to mention that there's a variety of carefully made map made by blizzard, not just throwing it to the fan to do whatever like valve (not that it's a bad thing, but you get the idea, right?). That makes the main game fun and diverse, not to mention refreshing.
Also the community is much less toxic, so there's that.
Hots is a dumbed down version of DOTA and LOL. Child's play compared to Dota mechanics

Actually, I liked it... but I prefer DoTA 2 than HoTS.... I can't say HoTS is the superior game (vice versa). I just prefer valve's version of DoTA because of the gameplay..... I can't even say DoTA 2 is a knock-off since it is only a sequel from a MOD, that officially became a game itself.(sorry for the bad english XD)

Vilajeet Samom sometimes im think that hots players more toxic than dota players.
Its not really a great comparison by comparing the skin variations of HOTS with the base models from Dota, Dota's base hero models are from 2011 so the will look dull, however most of the cosmetics make the characters hold up visually today with no issue.
You literally can't bash blizzard for their hero design. They're the reason DotA models even exist.

I used to love blizzard as a company but now a days i think what made blizzard unique has gone...their titles now are dumbed down in terms of gameplay mechanics
Like hots...the mechanics are simplified (like having no micro) and they try to add depth by these challenges or quests or whatever but that really unnecessary and detracts the players from the actual meat of the game which is the competitive pvp
Overwatch though fun is basically a tf2 clone
Hearthstone again is just a dumbed down version of a card game like magic the gathering
Diablo 3 is merely just a right clicking simulator which is a shame since diablo 2 was a great rpg
The only good title they have is starcraft 2 which is hands down the best rts ive ever played
