    Drum kit, djembe, congas, bongos, cajon, timbales, doumbek, marching drums, orchestral percussion, whatever drum you play, it just makes you feel better!!!!!! The drums are awesome in words that just can’t be explained!!! The way that they sound is all that you need to pick up a pair of sticks and start playing, and sometimes, you don’t even need sticks!!!! All you need are your two hands!!!!!!!!!!! I agree with everything you’re saying!!!

    There is something primal and spiritual about the feeling, sound and vibe of a drum circle or similar. It erases all of the societies cares and provides me with an unparalleled freedom

    The powerful energy that arises when people drum together, get out of their mind and into the flow is amazing. I've only started attending drum circles for a month or 3. Everytime my mind is blown feeling the energy and after effects. I hope to see/hear intuitive drumming being integrated into our modern society more.

    i believe everything you said. I'm a witness. I came from drummer family. Everybody can drum except me until I stop staring that conga at the corner of the room but start tapping it. I still practice and getting good at it at a later age.

    I attend a drum circle every friday night where between 70-100 people show up and make a LOT of noise. For anyone who has never been part of a drum circle, I urge you to try it at least once. The rhythm will permeate ever fibre of your being.....then the dancing starts and mayhem ensues.

    I bought some bongo drums made of clay pots and sheepskin pads in Tangiers over 20 years ago. They've sat as decorations since that time. Watching this video, i took them out an began to play along. Man, it felt good. I cant wait to get a bigger drum and join my first drum circle.

    What Kind of Flute is Robin Cardell playing?!

  • @Robbnok
    @Robbnok 4 года назад +2

    You were doing so well until that flute thing. The point and purpose of drum circles are, hold on, drums. So many people think a non drum contribution to the circle is fine because they don't have or desire to play nor want to drum. We not only get flutes, but percussion drums, guitars, cowbells, violins, harmonicas, and so on. All of them sound fine in and of themselves but a drum circle should remain pure. Drums and the variations of them. You were doing so well and out of the blue you started playing a flute like thing. WTF?

      Robbnok, I am a fan and go to Robin's drum circles, so I will barge in and explain. We do believe in keeping it a drum circle, and not a jam session. However, in this area the feeling is more important than the rules. NOBODY leaves a drum circle feeling anything negative. Flute was introduced because of the the Oneida Indian reservation to a lot of the drummers. We love it all so much that anybody who keeps coming expands their skills. However, we all instinctively hold the drum supreme and the flutes or other instruments are used sparingly. Since we have belly dancers in this area, they have influenced some of the circles also, with Middle Eastern rhythms, also. They also attend drum circles to dance here. But don't worry, the drums rule!

    Please, public speakers: HYDRATE BEFORE SPEAKING. The mouth noise thing is so distracting. I came to hear what you are speaking about, not an ASMR video.

    • @HannahLJMR
      @HannahLJMR 5 лет назад +7

      There's a difference between constructive criticism and being egocentric. Don't let any public speaking training or ego formed from that take over your ability to hear a beautiful message. I heard it loud and clear.

      Did u consider that he sounded anxious, and anxiety can cause dry mouth? I know from personal experience. I can’t believe you were so inconsiderate. His message was perfectly clear and he was well spoken. Always one person to say something negative.
