I saw Patti once a long time ago. I was in the nosebleed seats. At one point in the show, she moved the mic away from her mouth, blew a note and blew my mind at that moment.

Patti co-wrote this with her 2 sisters in mind, who she considered her best friends. They both passed away from cancer. Any time she sings this, she is pouring her heart out into it.
I love Ms. Pattie she is an awesome singer and performer. Love her concerts they are so energetic and she always end with a gospel song. When hurricane Andrew hit Miami the catastrophe was unbelievable. When my lights came back on Ms. Pattie was singing Blessed you are. Never a true statement and timing. 🥰❤💜

This whole concert is out of this world. Check out the whole concert if you get the chance. I saw this tour in Philadelphia and every song got a standing ovation.
Chills. Another song Patty sings that I feel to my core & it makes me throw up my hands (done that more than once forgetting I was driving) is "If Only You Knew". She's the tornado in "Somewhere Over The Rainbow".
Today my Grandma was sent home on hospice as she transitions and I am over here in TEARS! This song hit real different just now...it hit real real different. Smh
Prayers. A couple weeks ago made a year that I held my grandmother's hand through her transition. A blessing indeed.

I caught this tour when she came through the south. I caught 2 shows actually. One in Atlanta, Ga and another at Chattanooga, TN. Same set list each show but never the same show. Each Patti concert is a different experience. Saw her again this past summer in Chattanooga and even now at 79,she still brought the house down!
I met Miss Debbie Henry and Miss Pamela Williams (on sax) and they were both extremely kind and very thoughtful and thankful. It was just me and a friend standing out back and Patti came to the back door and told us to ,"you two come on in and be my honored guests" She called my friend on stage that night,we got this song dedicated to us,and we're back stage before the show and Patti showed us her drag. We chit chatted while she was getting her nails touched up and her hair done up for the show. Debbie and Pamela took us around to meet the band and we got all of the autographs and many souvenirs. They were all very polite and gracious to meet us. After the show,Patti sent a body guard out to get us to bring us back stage to give us farewell hugs and kisses on our cheeks.
In all I have met her now at least a dozen or so times and have been to many countless shows,each one different. There will never be another like her.

CORRECTION, Sylvester is not the original go do your research, Patti LaBelle and her husband and her music director Mr Bud Ellison wrote that song when Patti LaBelle first went solo on her first solo project go look it up that's when Sylvester recorded it a a year or two later do you research before you put lies out there!
