Every song from this entire show is worth a reaction. That's the whole title - it's a Stevie Wonder song cover. Stratus is a Billy Cobham song. The bass player is Tal Wilkenfeld. More Jeff Beck, Please - PS recognize anyone in the audience?
My favorite Jeff Beck song!! 🔥🎸 Check out his album Blow by Blow ♥️ Next do “Becks Bolero” 🔥 He has so much amazing music! He has a song called “Constipated Duck” and it’s great 🩵 We lost Jeff 1/10/23. The bass player is Tal Wilkenfeld & she is amazing 🎸 Nobody plays like Jeff 🥰 He was one of a kind ❤ He was also a car enthusiast.
Jeff Beck was held in the highest esteem by other top guitarists as being among the most innovative of them all.. He kept pushing the envelope throughout his career…always getting a new sound out of his instrument. Old and great friend of Jimmy Page, who gave the eulogy at Becks funeral.
This was the amazing 2007 Jeff Beck Live at Ronnie Scott's. Ronnie Scott's is a famous jazz club in London. The entire performance from beginning to end is a tour-de-force with Beck, Tal, and Vinnie on fire and showcasing amazing guest performers as well. Man, I wish I could've been there that night. What a performance. You really need to watch the whole thing. I own the DVD and every time I watch it gives me chills. It never gets old. Jeff Beck is a really deep rabbit hole and if you're interested in learning more about a legend and one of the greatest greatest guitar players to have lived I highly recommend beginning with his game changer solo albums Blow by Blow 1975 and Wired 1976. They will blow your mind IMHO.
This is from the famous Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in Soho, London in 2007. He played a week there, and Brian May, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were in the audience. The Bassist, Tal Wilkenfeld was only 21 years old at the time,
Jeff Beck is my favorite guitarist. So many great guitarists can play lick after lick but Beck makes the guitar talk, sing, cry, laugh, shout... and all so effortlessly. There's no one like him. Check out his version of The Beatles' Day In the Life, it's absolutely amazing. RIP big guy.
Without a doubt Jeff Beck was one of the best guitarists who ever lived! His sound a style were uniquely original. He was the guitarists guitarist and all the greats bowed down to him in one way or another. I'd have given my right arm to have been in this audience. RIP
I saw Tal Wilkenfeld and a great band she had put together open for the Who, where she played and sang. She an amazing musician. I was always sorry i never got to see her play with Jeff in person.
Beautiful. I was lucky enough to see Jeff twice; in the fall of 1976 when I was still in High School (Tommy Bolin was his opening act), then again in 2012 with my son.. R.I.P. Jeff, you were the best!
Incredible show at Ronnie Scott's. There are a couple of vocalists in the show. Joss Stone does "People Get Ready" and Imogen Heap does "Blanket" -- both of them just great.
Tal is a fantastic bassist, a singer/songwriter. Check out a live performance of her and her band doing her song “Killing Me”. Opened for The Who in North American tour in 2016.
Jeff's guitar work is awesome. There are many great tunes from his early "Beck's Bolero" on the "B" side of his 'pop' single "Hi Ho Silver Lining", to his version of The Beatles "A Day in the Life", & "She's a Woman". Happy Listening.
Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were in the audience, and Eric Clapton played with them later. Great concert, and a great showcase for Beck's unique style. Big Log is another great song from this performance.
Stratus was a song originally written and performed by Billy Cobham on his debut album titled "Spectrum". Jeff Beck's version is very complimentary to the original, the guitar parts of Stratus and other songs on Billy Cobham's Spectrum album was played by Jeff Beck's friend the late great Tommy Bolin. Tommy Bolin was also in the rock band James Gang after Joe Walsh left them and in Deep Purple after Ritchie Blackmore left that group.
Jeff Beck was one of the three huge guitarists who started their public career in the band The Yardbirds, along with Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page. It was Beck who brought in Page, first as a bassist, and then, after Beck left, as lead guitarist. As you probably already know, Jimmy inherited the name and the contract obligations of The Yardbirds after they broke up. And it was to honor those obligations that he quickly put together a band, called The New Yardbirds, which was quickly redubbed Led Zeppelin.
Wish I'd seen this when you did it. There is no body else that uses the techniques Jeff does. He uses the heel of his hand to hit and press on the bridge. He uses the volume and tone knobs actively and amazingly a lot. And, the whammy bar effectively makes the guitar a 12-string. He uses it to make the different notes and tones of the guitar instead of the fretboard. It's hard to overstate the difficulty of what he does. I don't know if you have done his Nessun Dorma. Incredible!
Jeff certainly had his own technique By the way he passed very recently I remember him once saying he doesnt practice to much becsause he doesbt wabt to get too fast for his fabs to follow. Jeff has a long history of work from the 60s until now with some very famous musicians and groups
Incredible band: Vinnie Calaiuto - Drums, Tal Wilkinfeld - Bass, Jason Rebello - Keyboards. If you watch the audience shots you'll see Jimmy Page grinning while watching his friend rip it up and burn it down.
I know it's fun to watch Jeff live but to really hear his best [IMHO obviously] you really need to listen to his studio albums. He truly could make that guitar "speak". Try Blow by Blow or Wired , both from the 70's, still amazing to listen to today.
First things first, Jeff was just incredible As a drummer I’m a Vinnie Colaiuta fan , he’s so dang good Now Tal Wikenfield on bass is just a monster, like so many who first saw these performances we were “Who is that bassist? “ I’ve only have said that a few time - first time seeing Angeline Saris play I was completely blown away. I went to see Jeff Campitelli play drums and Angeline knocked me out Of course seeing JPJ play with Zep a few decades ago
Beck was absolutely amazing. He could literally make a guitar sing. No one sounded like Beck; totally unique. RIP Jeff Beck.
The drummer is Vince Colaiuta. He is arguably the best drummer alive today.
saw vinny with herbie hancock,he was awesom
Agree
Tal Wilkenfeld (bass player) from Australia, is awesome!
Every song from this entire show is worth a reaction.
That's the whole title - it's a Stevie Wonder song cover. Stratus is a Billy Cobham song.
The bass player is Tal Wilkenfeld.
More Jeff Beck, Please -
PS recognize anyone in the audience?
Just Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.
One of the true greats. No pick. All hands. Nobody, and I mean nobody, sounded like Jeff Beck.
He has no equal

JP also inducted JB into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Stratus was originally done by Tommy Bolin on Billy Cobham's album Spectrum in 73

Salvo, you really need to check out Blow by Blow and Wired. Two albums that blew me away...
There are GREAT Guitarists and then there is JEFF BECK.

Jeff beck is the 🐐 and no one else even comes close
Heaven must be rocking about now. And what a band it must be! Blessings and love to you all. 🥰🙏🏼🤟🏼
I saw Tal Wilkenfeld and a great band she had put together open for the Who, where she played and sang. She an amazing musician. I was always sorry i never got to see her play with Jeff in person.
That is Tal Wilkenfeld on bass. She is magnificent and BAD ASS !

Tal was only about 20 years old in this video. She is awesome. Aussie.
I saw Jeff Beck in concert in 2018. He is a true guitar god.
The old gods of rock, funk, and jazz are dying, but their recordings will inspire for centuries.
Amazing! I do think this is the best video of live Beck available!!
Artists enjoying their craft... 👌
Wow, this is guitar magic.
Awesome! 🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶🎶
I actually wore out my first copy of Wired. Of course, got another! RIP Jeff Beck! Also, loving your channel
Incredible show at Ronnie Scott's. There are a couple of vocalists in the show. Joss Stone does "People Get Ready" and Imogen Heap does "Blanket" -- both of them just great.
And Imogen does Rolling and Tumbling

Undoubtedly he is (was) impeccable guitarist. This is his best performance
Bassist is Tal Wilkenfeld. She is a real live phenom. You should look up her story, as well.

Stratus was actually from Billy Cobham and Tommy Bolin , Jeff Beck heard this and said , I have to play this one !

Beck is the best. Saw him live with SRV as the back up band on the "Guitar legends tour". Amazing stuff

Tal on bass flew to London asked where Jeff lived knocked on his door and said I want to play with you, after a long jam he hired her, brilliant.
Tal was recommended to Jeff by Vinnie, and he invited her over.
This song was dedicated to Roy Buchanan! 🎸🔥 (Because we've ended as lovers)
Great choice. I think you'd like "Scatterbrain" from the Blow by Blow album.
Look at an album Beck Bogart and Apacie, The printing on the albums are the same, just interesting.
Don't feel so bad, I was recently looking for my reading glasses and I was wearing them. I had fallen asleep with them on.
IMO he was the GOAT
He's good. Try one with him and Rod Stewart it's good! Haven't listened to him much. But what I've heard is real good!
Incredible band: Vinnie Calaiuto - Drums, Tal Wilkinfeld - Bass, Jason Rebello - Keyboards. If you watch the audience shots you'll see Jimmy Page grinning while watching his friend rip it up and burn it down.
Her name is Tal Wilkenfeld. She's from Australia.

Cause We've Ended As Lovers (the studio version )is baby-makin music.
Bolero should be on your list.
Jimmy Page and Robert Plant in audience…..along with other artists. Thought I saw Jack White for a second.
Can't confirm, but I believe Jack White was there as well as others beside Page and Plant but too quick of a view.
Try finding the dvd of live at Ronnie Scott’s first.
Saw JB and Clapton at the Albert Hall. Jeff utterly blew EC offstage. He took way more risks and his playing was simply astonishing.
You should watch this whole show Live at Ronnie Scotts
How about a one-hit wonder that people have forgotten but was played a lot back when? RUN RUN RUN by Jo Jo Gunne. Its a rocker, guitar heavy!
Tal Wilkenfeld is playing the bass
now we're cookin with gas.
check out the original Stratus on Billy Cobham's album Spectrum.
the intro might require some patience but its worth it.
Steve Perry (former Journey LV) in the front.
Per mutual friend Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Jeff Beck was the only guitarist that frustrated Jimi Hendrix.
Love Beck…….LOVE Tal Wilkenfeld!
Is that not Vinnie on drums?
Hey Tal you’ve broken my arms
Please react abba, tina turner
First things first, Jeff was just incredible

That's
😅😅😅😅😅😅
@allendixon7700
Yeah JPJ was fairly impressive ,lol. Angeline Saris who was not even on my radar floored me.
