I’m a drummer and Mr Jeff Beck is my favorite guitarist, One of my first records I ever purchased as a young teenager was “blow by below” because I thought the album cover looked cool. Had no idea who Jeff Beck was😂 Vinnie’s brushwork on this song is fantastic
Now Tal Wickenfield is a monster , like so many first seeing this show years ago were asking who is the bassist. As your basic knuckle dragging Neanderthal drummer, we never give credit to a bass player because bass players are just lazy drummers. Lol. But over the years, certain bass players just stop you like when I went to see Zep as a teenager to watch Bonham and JPJ was incredible , Stanly Clark , Les Claypool, John Entwistle and Angeline Saris. Went to watch Jeff Campitelli and Angeline was playing with him , she floored me. I stood there like an idiot looking around asking who in the hell is his bassist
But yeah, Jeff Beck was incredible
🤣😂 Hilarious! Yeah the whole band is insane! Vinnie is one of, if not, the best to ever do it and Tal is unreal! This video is just something you can only watch in amazement! Thanks for hanging out!
Angeline Saris played with Narada Michael Walden (former Mahavishnu drummer) and in Gretchen Menn's group (Gretchen is a great guitar player and married Daniele Gottardo, the italian guitar virtuoso).
Exactly, and she played in Zepparella. Ended up introducing myself to her and over many years have become good friends with Angie and we’ve had a few adult beverages and a lot of nice talks with her , seriously just one of the nicest damn people you will ever meet. And as I said, one hell of a bassist.
This is the guy Hendrix was amazed with. No one can touch him. The guitarist all others point to.

Adaption of a Stevie Wonder song and one of the greatest guitar songs ever. I don't think even Hendrix had better command over the guitar than Beck. His entire band here is outstanding, including bassist Tal Wilkenfeld. I think she was only around 20 years old in this video.
He absolutely tore it up! I agree, Tal is such an unbelievable bassist! Top notch musicianship all around!

Not drawing any comparisons, but If you’re not familiar with Jimmy Herring he occasionally channels a bit of Beck in his playing.
