Yes, you just want to make sure you avoid any sensors like throttle positioning sensor or mass air flow sensors😃

I'm curious if Steven developed a high idle after this? I cleaned the throttle body and IAC valve on my 3.4l with 370,000 miles, not knowing that it's very common on a high mileage throttle body to develop a high idle. At which point you can either live with it, buy a new throttle body, or send it off to be rebuilt from a place like Maxbore, which seems to be a good route and what I'll likely do. I did not use this foam but it looks like a great product and worth doing.
Just beware that if your vehicle is up there in mileage, this may very well result in a high idle (up to 1,500 rpm).
Yeah that sounds like something electronic or something mechanical that's causing that I would definitely have a mechanic that works on those all the time take a look at that vehicle it's probably something very subtle and can be fixed immediately👍
@@Syntheticoilprotection it's the butterfly in the throttle body. Once you clean all the gunk around it, because it's so old, it doesn't seal up the way it's supposed to. Needs to be rebored out or replaced. No big deal, just wear and tear. Cleaning all that gunk out is a good thing. Some people just may have to take it a step further if they get that high idle as a result of this service, or just send it lol

This is the Amsoil power steering fluid and you can also use Amsoil multi-vehicle ATF fluid which is transmission fluid in your power steering and it has more detergents that keep your steering system running smoother longer.

What hose is it sprayed into?
Jeff mentions it's a certain line on the video that goes into the intake manifold. You want to buy a pass any type of electronical systems.
So you want to avoid the throttle position sensor and any oxygen sensors were mass air flow sensors.
Basically you want to keep it off anything electrical.
Every car you do it on it will always be a little bit different depending on the engine setup.

How do you sell somebody on Amsoil when they can achieve 300k + miles on conventional Dino oil other than the cost Savings of extending the oil drain intervals?....... I'm not questioning Amsoils superiority in their formulations and their products because I believe it to be true but if your a dealer or you want to be a dealer how do you convince somebody to switch over if they've already seen this kind of mileage without any synthetic oil ever being used?

I've seen all the videos I'm a subscriber to your channel. So my question is as if you were a dealer and you're trying to get somebody to use Amsoil on a car with high mileage 150, 250-300 K plus besides telling them that they're going to "feel" the difference when their rebuttal would be my car has run fine for 300,000+ miles why would I switch?..... what's your angle if somebody doesn't approach you for the product in this situation?....... Amsoil makes great stuff don’t get me wrong. But I’ve always wondered if the smoke that comes from the tail pipe when using this or others (sea foam, bg etc) is actually carbon being burned off or just a byproduct of the cleaner?
That's a great question It's definitely going to be a big combination you'll notice when you power foam certain vehicles how some will have a lot of smoke that comes out as your power foaming it others aren't as much and then some have a lot that come out once you started up after 15 minutes after it sits It depends on where the carbon is built up some have a lot in the heads some have on the cylinders some have it in the exhaust manifolds It just depends on the way that specific motor was treated The products that were used before and the amount of buildup that's in the motor.

Seafoam is petroleum based, though I'd think there are some carbons that have been removed in the smoke, pretty much all of the smoke is the product burning off and exiting the system in the exhaust. At least that's how I understand it.

What's the difference between signature series and regular amsoil?
There's actually a couple different grades and this is the link to the Amsoil OE which is the original equipment however it is still 100% synthetic with much more protection then standard full synthetic.
The detergent are different and that formula is different and the OEM oil lasts the original equipment oil change recommendation then the XL lasts 12 thousand miles or one year and then the Amsoil Signature Series last one year 25,000 miles or 700 idling hours whichever comes first.
