Hun, I want to extend a hug. I am slightly disabled and on a fixed income, so i know what it's like to want to do things and can't. It's easy to get in debt when you are looking at this stuff. Lol.
However, there are safe ways to make it work.
Step 1: Save what you can in a - project jar.
Step 2: Shop sales only & and Black Friday specials that start in November to get your supplies.
Step 3: Free software to edit images lik inkspace, canvas, silhouette.
Step 4: Go with a legitimate sublimation printer. Converted printers DO NOT lasts long and the printer is voided the moment you put sublimation ink in them.
Check the company you want to buy a sublimation printer from like epson official sublimation models or sawgrass, etc. and see if they have any refurbished models on sale that have a warranty! Also, do that around black Friday.
Payment programs with no strings attached or credit checks.
I got my cutting machine, they are around $399.00 and I got it with a nice bundle of extras from - Swing Design. You can take up to 1yr to pay on their payment programs.
I waited until Black Friday when they had really good specials and big bundles that come with supplies and products. The prices are awesome. You even get $100.00 credit for their cut files on their redemption link.
Step 5: Creative fabrica - You can get a free trial OR a monthly membership for super cheap. Sometimes, they do $1.00 specials for 30days, with no limits on design download.
Find an online company that will print and ship sublimation sheets for you if you dont have a sublimation printer. All you do is upload the image but make sure it's "sublimation".
I use -icraftvinyl . com. They print 2 sizes, 8.5 x 11 or 11 x 17 for $3.50 or $7.00. And they have pre-made images for under $0.50 each.
But there are other companies that might charge less for printing your images. I used to buy mine from - craft chameleon - but she just sold the company and they are now called - craft chameleon 2.0. They might be doing the sublimation prints soon.

I've been making g windspinners for about 2 weeks I had no idea I could do. Othbsides at one this would have saved me so much time. Going to try it tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing, you are definitely getting me out my comfortable zone to actually try and put my crafting toys to use! I have a similar version of the tumbler clamps, that's what I call them they actually help, I use one hand and pull it as tight as I can at first I thought they would break but nope then while holding I used other hand to tape one side then pushed the tool to the side I taped down and repeated the process if that makes sense doing so gives it a much tighter wrap!

With Vinyl yes Sublimation yes but it may lighten your design make sure you cover the entire design before you press

Im so excited to see that you have the PDY oven. I have one but I’m having trouble and I could not find a way to contact customer service. I also purchased PDY tumblers.
I followed the guide chart provided but I keep getting little burn marks on the tumblers!!
I’ve even dropped the temp and time a couple different times and still had burn marks. The only thing that I see that you did different was that I used a heat gun to shrink the shrink wrap, and then placed the tumbler in the oven so the tumbler is already a little hot when placing in the oven.
I’m really hoping you can help me out with this. I love my oven but really disappointed in the fact that I can’t find a customer service number. I found a group page on FB and sent a message but got no response

I use a reg convection oven for sub only of course but that oven looks really cool ! what is the brand ? how many tumblers can you put in at the same time ? I would really like to know all the info. I think you could do 3 tumblers at a time don't quote me yet i will double check. I really like how easy it is to use and how perfect my items came out. Crystal, I have watched many of your videos and have finally tried using DTF for the first time with my Epson printer. The film just did not want to pull through the printer even though I taped a sheet of copy paper to it. This printer seems to know that there is something different going through it. I set the settings on plain paper, card stock and photo paper, but it was still problematic. I did luck out and got one page to print and after applying the powder it printed on the shirt fine, just lighter than I would like. That is probably my printer. The film is .04 thick. Would a thicker film work better. I will keep at it, that is how we learn. I have some dark DTV that I haven't tried, and I think that since it is thicker should work fine.
I have learned a lot from watching you videos.
In my next video you will see tips for the epson printer one way I found help so simple but it has to do with turning on and off the scale settings for the printer

Hey Crystal xx can I ask when you use your clear transfer tape which make is it? I have a clear transfer tape but it's low tac and takes weeks before its stuck enough to the vinyl decals to lift them even with extra burnishing.

I love your videos. When you heat pressed the wind spinner and I have seen on another video that you did on Design Bundles for the pencil DTF hack on vinyl you did not use a pad on the heat press. Is that press made so that you do not have to use a pad because I have seen you use a pad with the Cricut easypress. Can you give some insite on why those heat presses are different. I just made a wind spinner and it turned out great. I only pressed one side at a time. Thank You for your time and talent. ❤❤❤
It may just be the angle on DB that makes it look like I don't have a heat pad. It has a teflon cover over it. hope this helps. I bet it turned out out amazing 🤩 Thank you so much 😊 ❤️

I have a very odd question. I don't have a heat press. Could you use a home iron or a griddle with something heavy on top of it to do the wind spinner?
yes if your home iron gets hot enough just give it some pressure keep in mind if your iron as holes that will cause issues

Crystal can you please do a video on when a cricut machine won’t calibrate. Not on the print and cut, everyone’s got that one. I went to calibrate mine today and it does everything it needs to do but when I press the GO button it goes into the middle to cut and then just sits there and the GO button comes on again.

have you tried clicking on the hamburger icon (the 3 dash lines at the top left) and checking update firmware? Mine did this before when it needed an update

@@jewelsmccloud2732 I tried to go to calibration like we used to do but the only option is print then cut. you may need to call customer service for a factory reset and if that don't work they may send you a new one

Hey, CrystalAnn! I have bleached a cotton shirt so, that I can put a design on it. However, I have a question about the bleaching.... I didn't bleach it enough and it is not completely bleached. Can I bleach it again to cover up the red? or do I have to just go with it the way it is? Thanks, as always, for your help!!

Will your printer use 8.5x14 I think you could get away with that or cut the design in half and piece together then press

What size did you print your wind spinner?
I like to have 0.25" on each side so I did 10.5x10.5
