hey its tjay. meeting you guys has been one of my goals this year and you are so nice. i cant believe i spotted you. i do have some questions but they could wait for another day
Dudes. Get rid of those 4 point harnesses immediately! They are extremely dangerous. Look up submarining. If you dont grt rid of them at least adjust the lap belts so the are over your hips not arount your stomach. But seriously youre muuuuch better off just using the stock 3 point belts.
Cheap to keep a car on the road over your way!!! Hire in Australia $35 to have safety check that's a must have and pass then insurance is around $500 and then at the roads office for rego is around $300 then plate fee is $60 for stock or custom plates start at $200 extra every 12 months!.and I pay $100 a month for full insurance so if I crash or get hit or stollen car is coverd
That exhaust sounds awful, you may wanna put some decent plugs in it too as it sound like it's misfiring under load/ boost or its dropping fuel pressure as you go up the Rev range (it may need a bit more flow from a decent pump)
Please tell me you have body kits for this. I have an 04 gls. I am starting my channel and am going to be working on my car. If you know of any body kits or mods for the car id really appreciate it.
nice video guys great to see the sonata running semi well again here is a video that explain why a four point harness is dangerous ruclips.net/video/bFTLCxASQvY/видео.html
tbh it sounds liked its running like a POS its breaking up and detonating you can hear it a mile off. need to get that sorted or Bye bye engine. i dont know you specs but it sounds like far too much boost.
they tuned it with a broken fuel pressure regulator, now that they put a functioning regulator on as boost builds so does the fuel pressure so it ends up running really rich then pops and cuts out. 43 psi at idle and 60 psi or more while boosting untuned it wont run properly. the tuner will compensate for all that when they take it back
I love how the guy told them not to use boost until they got those parts and and came back and what do they do get half the parts and make 6 pulls (that we know of) I get that its a shit car that you guys dont care about but at least dont break it till we see the stability outcome....then break it
Well yes, but Plymouth was part of Chrysler group. As was the Eagle branding. DSM was an agreement between Chrysler and Mitsubishi. Regardless the 4G motors were a Mitsubishi creation.
Chrysler supplied the bodies for the Eagle/Plymouth/Mitsu because they already had the factory, tooling, and ability to do it here in the U.S. Mitsu supplied the engines and electronics for the cars. I'm 100% sure though, that this Hyundai does not have a 4G63/64. It is not a G4CS either, I don't think.
Loren Husky that's where you would be 100% wrong. The engine in the Hyundai is called a Sirius engine. This is a Mitsubishi Sirius engine. Aka the 4g line of engines. Google Mitsubishi Sirius engine and you'll find what you need. Or better yet pause at 1:27 look at how the valve cover and timing cover are shaped. Then google 2005 4g63 images and look at it. The 4g valve/timing covers have a very unique shape unlike any other I can think of right off hand and they are the same.
Hey guys if y'all could give me a shout back my boyfriend rebuilding his 2004 Kia Optima and needs help!!!!! So if y'all are willing to help he needs it.!.!.!

you should really use the factory seatbelts for driving on the road
if that car has a MAF sensor, you should probably recirculate the boost dumping from the BOV back into the system
I think a transmission swap might be necessary? seems a bit sluggish for the power it should have
The backfires are insane.
very glad you guys got it running again!!!!!
hey its tjay. meeting you guys has been one of my goals this year and you are so nice. i cant believe i spotted you. i do have some questions but they could wait for another day
Sounds so mean, yet so unexpected
that tacoma is 10/10... i love it
Pretty Sweet!
it might be breaking up cuz it has old gas in it run it to E and fill it before u dyno it again
Wear those harnesses around your pelvic bone not your stomach, those harnesses are bad for submarining if you get in an accident
What does that mean? This is the second comment I've read about these not being safe.. What exactly are they strapped to?
thanks b is for build
+Adrian Graham submarining is when you get in a crash with harnesses your body slides under the belt and is worse than normal seat belts
upgrade ur ECU for fuel cut, fuel mapping and ignition cutting get wolf3d. apexi power fc. or motec even haltech
It'd be cool to see an AWD drive swap from a GSX in this, even as an auto. That thing would scoot.
the FIRM is in Florida, and the have track days, how far is Jacksonville for you guys?
Remove the sunvisors and b pillar covers for more weight reduction
hey i was paying attention to where yall was driving around..you in destin..yo write me back i live here an i like wat yall did

You guys going to go to 5pt harnesses instead of those 4pt?
Did you guys put a zip tie on that vac line off the reg?
If you guys end up putting a muffler in it look into the black widow widow maker series. I feel like it'd sound super neat on the sonata.
On*
The sonata isn't stock though. It's turbocharged with a custom full straight pipe exhaust.

Should've fogged the cylinders before starting it to get those rings wet.

what did you guys do for the exhaust
when are you guys going to manual transmission swap it
Auto shifts faster
Only built. Factory autos shift slow as fuck, at least the one in this car. Anyone could shift faster than the auto in this car.
Dstroya exactly. That auto is a pos. with massive power loss.
Are you guys in destin or around that area ?
....for how long?
heh 40 seconds ago, I love these sonata vids
Is the Sonata cammed?
Please tell me you have body kits for this. I have an 04 gls. I am starting my channel and am going to be working on my car. If you know of any body kits or mods for the car id really appreciate it.
Wow, sounds good! If only it didn't shift like such a pig. XD
Sonata Squad
congrats fellas. that sob is loud lol
what $60 bucks rego for a year.we in nsw australia pay $380-$600 rego + compulsery third party insurance $250-$480
that's just the old oil from the last turbo
Research a quick shifter for it, you can make them yourselves
It's an auto homie.
+Ian Sutton companys make shift boxs for autos
get rid of those seatbelts they dangerous (watch b is for build)
Where's the Subaru??????

it is also cammed, if im not mistaken. Not going to sound the same, but yeah they are obviously going to finish tuning it
Lol agreed it may not be blowoffvalving anymore
+john martin I definitely agree with your statement
+turtlemonkey They should look into the overlap of their cams too (intake/exhaust)
Turbo and sc cars have different lobe centers than n/a cars

Dino now!!!
its a DSM motor so yes it is a dodge!!! well plymouth but same thing damnit!!!
You mean Chrysler?
PhantasmAMX plymouth laser, eagle talon, mitsu eclipse....

After watching Chris from B is for Build explain harnesses, I cringe every time I see someone in a 4 point harness.

I'm glad Illinois isn't the only state with bullshit city ordinance rules about the # of cars 😂
work on the truck......
This hurts to watch. Especially with that shitty transmission.
Orlando
is it me or is it still slow? my stock civic will beat this in vtec
probaly just hand oils and dust burning of
Sorry but i just unsubbed. Been subbed way too long for this car to be THAT slow.
