Wow Erik! That is so majestic! Thank you so much for your effort. When we were there last month your website and YT channel were truly a help! We can't wait to get back.
There were so many interesting perspectives up there. I’ll have to get up there again for some different compositions, but I doubt I’ll see light like that again.
Great job! I particularly like this adventure with its distance and difficulty to reach. Longs, McHenry, and Chiefshead? Crunch time is very relatable 😂 Also, the latest I’ve encountered an electric storm was about October 8th on the knife ridge of Capital Peak. It was the 90s. We heard thunder on the summit. We had to traverse that knife ridge on the way down and it was audibly buzzing. Very scary time, but fortunately nothing happened. The point is October is not too late for electric storms. Good job on this one, I love this image.
You warned me in the Gem Lake comments that my knees would ache on your next video. That boulder hopping would do me in! Especially in the dark. 😮 Thanks for another excellent video!
You share toward the end of the video that this may not be the best photo composition. I think they are perfect. I was almost in tears when the first picture of the jagged peak appeared with the setting sun reflected. The shot is so beautiful, and yet rugged and majestic. Having hiked quite a bit in the Rockies, I have an idea of what it took to get these images, so your commitment to capturing this beauty is duly noted. I have two questions. Where were these taken, and when will they be available in the store? I look forward to these videos each week. Thank you.
Don, glad you liked the composition. I like it as well, but I felt like I didn't have time to find more interesting foreground options. Oh well, I'll have to get back and try again. I'm not sure when or if this image will be in the gallery, but you can always order by calling my gallery. 970-586-4352.
Erik, this is absolutely stunning, I am in decent shape for a 67 year guy, but would need to work really hard for several months to try and tackle that climb to try and keep up with you, just a wonderful video, also my wife and I have committed to a friend on taking his workshop in September 2025 for the elk rut, will stop by and say hello, take care

Those electrical storms can persist late into the autumn some years. So glad that wasn’t the case last week.

How do you hike in the dark. Gear , light etc. tips please. a video on that would be dope!!
Great idea! I’ll seriously consider doing one like that. Thanks!

Hope your knees recover quickly! 😉
@@ErikStensland 😁 I wish I could hike like that again. I'm not that old, but my knees clearly don't think they don't need ACLs.
The joy of mountain photography!!!
It is quite the rush when the clouds cooperate like on this evening. Hope you are well Stephen! I miss our CNP gatherings.

@@ErikStensland Thanks. I will grab a screen shot and take it to the gallery. Good to know these can be ordered.
Spectacular Erik, thank you so much.
My pleasure Adam. So glad you enjoyed it.
Nice video! What 3 mountain peaks were you on? I'm guessing the shots are from Hallet's or Otis?
Glad you liked it. I’m on another peak.

Great Video!! Do you mind if i ask which trail this was i’ve never seen it before, thanks!
Sorry, I don’t share off trail locations. Here’s a link to my reasons: www.imagesofrmnp.com/page/faq/#locations. Thanks for your understanding.
Not about religion....God and His creation is truly amazing. No Hollywood studio could even come close to replicating this! GREAT JOB ERIK.
Being there was even more incredible than the video could convey. What a wonderful world!
For once in our lives let us stop and stay humble admiring those beauties❤ Thank you so much Éric! Hi from France 🇫🇷
Beautiful video with vibrant pictures at the top! Thanks so much for the huge amount of work making the videos to take us along on some amazing and beautiful hikes!!!
