I just bought the 65 inch 908 for €1632, was an opened box (but tested 100% working and undamaged) for re-sale (from a respecetable store front), but for that price it's a no brainer. Have been looking for this TV for months. Never had an option for such a low price.
Very excited for it to arrive!

MLA - more bright / QD - more punch color - its dependet what you want - both tehnology best of the best.

Very interesting video, but in the end when Danny Track says that there are 4 points that decided Philips to choose Meta, he will have quoted only 2 points during the video: brightness and deep black in an illuminated room. What are the 2 other points?

8:55 In this situation, are you suggesting to create a calibration that matches the light in the room? I would assume most lights in a living room are far warmer than d65, so if for example the light bulb is d30, would it be correct to apply a calibration with a colour temp of d30?

I’m sure that Samsung has run the MLA tech through their photocopiers by now.

I want to like Philips but they're just always too late to the market. I believe the 908 is only available from Richer Sounds and it was released a good 4/5 months after the G3.
Even now, there's a problem with UK streaming apps not working , and so another streaming option is required in addition to the TV.
They never seem to quite nail it.

G3 LOL good luck LG panels are garbage
my C1 had a bad panel out of the box, it had the panel replaced 4 times so far in less than 400 hours and 4 times in a row i eiterh got bad panels or there is some other problem they can't find, it is still having the same issues, they replced the LVDS and the main bord too, LG is grabage and WOLED is garbage too frankly it won't last a week without breaking . OLEDS are pure crap just wait it out for micro LED

The answer is that they were able to reach a more favorable agreement with LG Electronics sourcing their panels. QD-OLED is the better technology going forward.

Exyactly! QD-Oled is simply superior to WOled in every single way. Claiming that they choose to use MLA because they think it's better is simply BS. The only valid explanation I see is that the durability of QD-Oled panels in terms of burn-in is questionable at this point..

Sure if you like grey milky blacks in a room with any ambient light. It's trash and I returned the S95B for the C2 for just that reason. an OLED that isn't pitch perfect black is trash..

Seriously the screen is grey... it's not inky black thus reducing your perceived contrast. Unless you always watch it in a pitch black room with no lights on like a vampire. That's why the big boys use a polarizer.....@@pb24dagrk

Philips & sony need to take the both panels - sony take evo & mla to 80 & QD to 90 - there is no better here - one more bright good for sun & details in dark era (mla ) / one more punsh color ( QD) .
