Pieces of April, Shambala, One, Family of Man, Liar. keep going... so many great songs by them. I think I bought all their albums in the 70’s. Still love them.

Try 'One' the title track from the same album as this one. And another banger (among sooo many) of theirs is 'Liar'. You never really thought Three Dog Night was lip synching on stage (except in the case of the few TV performances where that's what everyone did) because they were generally actually better on stage than in the studio. And they were awesome in the studio!!

You really need to watch them perform the extended version of this song. There is a great live concert video on you tube from 1970 that shows how amazing they were live. I was lucky enough to see them 4 times between 1969 and 1974. Must watch their live performance videos, especially this song. Seeing them perform is the only way you can see/hear the MAGIC that was Three Dog Night in their prime. Love it! Keep it coming!

"It's for You" is a song written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney of the Beatles for Cilla Black for whom it was a UK Top Ten hit in 1964. The song is mainly a McCartney composition.
Three Dog Night recorded a version of the song for their eponymous debut album in 1968. A performance of the song is also featured on the group's 1969 live album, Captured Live at the Forum.
Mina recorded an Italian rendering of "It's for You" - entitled "So che mi vuoi" - on her 1965 album, Studio Uno.
Texas band The Mods recorded a version of "It's for You" in 1966.

The live version from their "Captured Live At The Forum" album (I think that's the name) is even better than this, with a longer jam at the end. That whole album is great. I grew up with the 8-track. I'd like to see you react to one of the best tracks, "Chest Fever."

I prefer Three Dog Night overall but have to give credit to Crosby Stills and Nash ( with or without Neil Young ) when it comes to harmonization .
My two favorites for them : Wooden Ships and Suite Judy Blue Eyes - really need to check out both
Also - another band that harmonized really well and hot a lot of pop/rock hits is The Little River Band

Three dog night are AM radio gold and in my opinion one of the most underrated classic rock/pop band. They are definitely one of my fav bands of all times. DEFANITALY a rabbit hole worth going down. 'momma told me not to come", '''black and white", "one", 'Never been to Spain", "shambala" are a few to get started on but they have many many great songs.

3 Dog Night also was the first group to set up arena touring! They had more hits, sold more tickets and made more money than led zeppelin, the Beatles, Elvis etc. from 1969-1974... and yet the music hall of fame hasn't put them in the hall of fame... they say because 3 dog night didn't write their own songs, but neither did Elvis or many others that are already in the MHOF...

  • @williamcapp448

Three Dog Night starring lead singers>>>Cory Wells; Danny Hutton; Chuck Negron are among the vocal gods of Rock n' Soul. Began in 1967.....with No. 2 hit, "One." on the Billboard charts and followed this song up with 14 top 10 hits, 14 gold albums; 2 platinum albums, and 3 No.1 hits. Corey Wells R.I.P. who sings lead on this song passed away last year but the band is still playing and touring and making music. Key songs to react to: (ruclips.net/video/0CuNBengxaQ/видео.html Eli's Coming.....Live version); One Man Band; Joy To The World; It Ain't Easy; Liar; Black and White; Never Been To Spain; Easy To Be Hard; Woman......all reactions should be studio listening first except "Eli's Coming."
