- Build One South Africa's Candidate for Parliament and Provincial Legislature, Ayanda Allie, has addressed the term "Clever Blacks". This is a derogatory term coined by former South African Head of State, President Jacob Zuma. The term was used to describe black South Africans who questioned Zuma's character, dealings and moral standing. Zuma sought to portray black professionals who questioned him as "counterrevolutionaries", "sellouts" or "puppets of the former colonial master". The term is contentious and means many things to many people. It has since been broadened to include black Africans who are sympathetic to white minority capital and apartheid apologists.
Clever people would never vote anc or keep them in power😂😂😂
I'm a 27yo black South African and it's painful seeing this slow downfall of ours and by the time the majority of South Africa wakes up, anything worth fighting for will be gone.
She doesn't know what clever black really mean Hahahaha, she a clever black herself 🤣
what does it really mean then? I am curious
@SekweleKaletsane you know what it means
she knows she is just playing dumb
Yeah we hear you but can we just focus on removing the ever so persistent ANC from power.
Clever black..where,what...say again!!??😂😂😂😂😂
Don't worry. The ANC has set the bar so low the term doesn't mean much.
They same people that they keep in power are the ones that are keeping them down. When will they realise this?
clever black is not what you think it means, that is why we will continue to name people clever blacks if it fits you & i most definitely think it does fit you
The whole leader of a party doesn't know what clever blacks means or she's just naive
What does the term mean exactly?
@@o.a-neo9359 black people who are puppets who think they've arrived and try to sellouts other black people.. like this lady who says she is a clever black
Bro I'm laughing so hard my stomach hurts, these Clever blacks are exposing themselves 🤣
@@yangasidziya3245 while they don't seem to be aware that this word is directed to them lol 😆
Clever black does not mean the black is smart lol😂😂
Then what does it mean?
Lol yeah, the actual meaning went over their heads 😂
@@karabomakwetla4626it means, you THINK you are clever
@@karabomakwetla4626 It’s sarcasm, it’s similar to an Uncle Tom. It means a black person that is coloniser adjacent, anti black in their mindset - Eurocentric not only in views but in mannerism, behaviour and speech.
Those calling others clever blacks don't want ppl to think for themselves.. if u don't agree with their nonsense, they label u.. and that's exactly what she say
No young lady, you misunderstanding the context within which the term "clever blacks" originates. It's got nothing to do with Education but attitudes that arise from assimilation into a culture that wouldn't be originally identified with the subject.
Mfundiseni please, she's exhibiting clever black attitude and mental capacity
@@KnowledgeWisdom_Chaser. Absolutely right. She has the right energy and it's at this point of growth where one needs a solid mentor to help guide and manage that energy so that it's not all over but becomes very effective in what it seeks to achieve. It's a natural progression BUT can be costly because at this age it's easy to believe your illusions or not even know the difference.
Basically clever blacks see through all the ' woke' nonsense@realBubeleM
Last time I checked clever black is not a literal phrase.
Definitely her definition is totally out of context of what this means. Ngicela abuze kwitwitter skool ukuthi bathini when they're referring to clever black. She's a typical clever black 😫
After 30 years i havent heard or spoken to clever people
BOSA is a party of clever blacks😂
Preach gurl, preach! We need more of this is SA.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Your definition of clever blacks is incorrect my darling
Fair enough, but the opposite of the "CLEVER BLACK" has issues, too. Some not all, are too fixated on having conversations about race instead of economic policy (outside of Land & BEE).
This is exactly the mentality in rural area's.
Darling clever black is like a "coconut" lol
Haw my sista, surely you know what the expression means...
As an example, when someone says, "oska iketsa cleva", the expression does not mean that you must make yourself dumb...
You are taking the expression "literally"...
And if you want to take it literraly, why would you be upset when someone calls you clever...
Don't be distracted easily my sister, focus on your course...
You have entered a political arena, if you are going to make time for engagements like this, you are going to age quickly... so don't...
She missed the point shame
I think you miss understood him {JZ}, clever blacks were black people that pushes the white man's propaganda, I hope Mr Musi of which I respect so much is educating his fellow members not to repeat the mistake that he made in the past.
We need more clever wise rational logical educated understanding empathic intelligent people across the board in this country. Otherwise we'll continue being the shame of Africa and the laughing stock of the world.
Big up to you Ayanda.
😂 for what
This is my party 🥳
Wow 😮❤
Ayanda, mara why.... this thing of accessibility to audience makes people speak confidently about subject they know nothing about. Mommy please, do some research before you talk about any subject. You definitely exhibiting such attitude and it's destructive. What you define as clever blacks is not even closer to its meaning. Research please!!!!
We need more clever black people
Tell them my child...
uyisasaze ke kwi youth
❤❤❤❤
Don't get it at all
And they will not vote for BOSA they will vote for DA😂
Is she missing the point on purpose or what?😂😂
Any regime that wants to remain in power by whatever means despise people who are capable of independent critical thinking, they want people who are just smart enough to keep the wheels of the economy turning without questioning how they are being abused.
You misunderstanding the meaning of that they are telling you to stop wanting to be worshipped
Who sponsored you???
😅😅😅lol
I love this lady she must musi this fairness of him is not going to work , white oppressed us and we still need help
Help with what?
Have you questioned why those glorified concentration camps we call townships still exist in this so called democracy given the historical reason as to why they were established?
And whats your position on land?
Cute speech though
Being for one thing doesn't mean u are against another.
Ur agenda is land & thts good 4 u & am happy 4 u.
My agenda is for economical liberation 4 the black masses.
We can't all be focusing on one thing
@@phantsi_ you can't talk economic liberation without addressing the land issue, it is the main reason we are where we are. It is land that created black and white in this country. So as soon as you mention race which is a structural position in south africa, you go back to land which created those structural positions.
@phantsi_clever black
she spits only facts
Ask a question about anything and immediately go with APARTHEID this but, but APARTHEID!! I'm so sick of it, you never lived it so stop talking about it.
Ayanda is just a jumping noise maker ,one minute on TV as a presenter then a spokesperson now a politician?she better go for therapy she must be frustrated somehow she doesn't know how to deal with issues, her anger is on another level 🤞🤞🤞
I think you need to listen to the way she structures her sentences, her grammar and logical ways of putting her thoughts together. I mean look at the button busting, bubble boep ANC "leadership" the guys talk like they have a peanut alergy and just had some Black Cat. The new wave is here and they move and think quickly, they literally don't need someone to open their door for them nor do they need to come out of hiding in election month pretending that they have been very bust whilst simply echoing the same old and stale crap from the last two decades.
So someone exploring their different passions makes them angry and a noise maker? Stop projecting. Free yourself from whatever is holding you back and follow your dreams like her.
If you listen extensively and with full concentration to her interviews, you will her the solutions/suggestions she brings. The fact that she was in government and has a youth center that's been running successfully for years, shows that she is more than fit when it comes to problem-solving...so what do you mean by "she doesn't know how to solve issues". Oh and don't get me started on her excellent communication skills and interpersonal skill,, this lady was born to interact!!!
Seeing a powerful black woman (whether you are black or not, female or male) is truly inspiring and somewhat intimidating, so I get it. You'll heal, you'll be fine.
