    I think if Kroos had stayed we would have seen a different version of Mbappe where he would be more effective in matches. With Kroos’s vision, passing, and tempo control, Mbappe’s runs would actually go somewhere and he’d be scoring loads of goals. But as is generally the case, the goalscoarers would get all the praise from fans and media. I think that would have fed Mbappe’s ego and we would have seen the cocky and control hungry player we knew from his time at psg. I think Kroos leaving when he did was meant to be as he left at his peak like Zidane did, but also it allows us to judge Mbappe for his own contributions, in game IQ, and technical ability without being fed by a goated midfielder.

      @ I know it comes across that way but I’m a Real Madrid fan and I really want to see him succeed believe it or not. I want to see him score loads of goals and help the team out because the rest of it, apart from a few like Camavinga when fit, Bellingham, Valverde, and Asencio surprisingly, are not playing that well. I’m just going off what I’ve seen from him this season and I’ve watched every match, every minute. And he could be doing more. I really do hope things click for him

  • @st1rcs98
    @st1rcs98 Месяц назад +334

    jude's not a ghost, people just created perfect image of him due to previous season. He's doing more defensively hence lack of goals; he's doing alot + he has to go on free spaces because mbappe isnt doing what hes supposed to do so bellingham basically does more than he needs to. Problem is with the team as a whole. There's no chemistry whatsoever. Mbappe is clearly lacking confidence therefore he's scared of attempting anything

    • @st1rcs98
      @st1rcs98 Месяц назад +30

      Plus ancelotii isn't doing his job either. He keeps playing mbappe even though he's not in form. Theres young blood in the team i.e. Endrick who could actually make some impact, for sure there is less pressure on him as everyone is focused on mbappe. Real Madrid seems to be trying to play with no general idea how to create a chance to score a goal and are waiting for some magic from individuals, and usually magic came from Kroos but he's long gone so they need to find new solution.

    Toni Kroos has been the best German outfield player since Lothar Matthäus. A truely generational talent. The consistency in his technique was just incredible to watch. His passing even under pressure was so accurate, his teammate could always do sth with it. This year there is only Modric left with superb technique but deteriorating athletic abilities. The other Midfielders are strong athletes but they lack Kroos' technique, passing and strategic skills. There is no field general now at Real and its showing...look how the German team improved after him coming back for the Euros. They were loosing and playing badly, Kroos brought back structure to the game. They were very unlucky to loose against Spain....

      As a German and Barca fan, what pains me is that he showed his strengths more for Real Madrid than he did for Germany. We never had a winger like Vinicius Junior. We never had a striker like Karim Benzema. And we absolutely never had anything even close to Cristiano Ronaldo in his prime. But apparently I am the one "making zero sense"...🤣🤣🤣

    What I find really crazy about Kroos...he hasn't scored many goals, but if you put all of Toni Kroos' goals together, it looks like a best of compilation. I always used to think that he should play offensively, simply because once he's free to shoot, the ball is almost guaranteed to go in, but this man has something more valuable than that, he is completely calm. I also believe that this, combined with his understanding of the game, is his best quality. That's why he often seems more emotionless in games than the others. Whether he's conceded a goal or has just scored one himself, from the moment the ball hit the net, Toni's only thought was about how to best deal with it. It didn't matter whether the goal came in the 80th minute. There was no pressure on him, there were just obstacles to overcome. You could actually always pass to him, it was rare that he lost the ball. And when under pressure he was so patient, he used clever body feints to keep the opponents away from the ball and at the same time looked for free players or situations that could arise. And let's not forget his "for me" signature move, the ball-receiving-body-movement-feign. Kroos fans know. I am so proud of Toni. You did that so brilliantly. Thank you for your time.

    RM was pressed very high, so they needed to resist the press in dangerous areas and the players, especially the midfielders, needed perfect positional awareness and to think insanely fast before even touching the ball. Kroos has been the maestro in these aspects of the game, like no other.
    There was a huge debate in football germany, wether or not he should have played the latest euros and he was analyzed in every detail. After that, everyone realized, Toni Kroos is another level. It is not just about the deep passes or his work ethic, it is the fact he plays inch-Perfect one-touch Passes, while screening the ball and physically fighting with an opponent.
    While RM has had a player like him, they knew they could be pressed high and still get through these situations and use it, so their high speed players can outspeed the defenders of the opposition and create danger at any moment.
    It’s him missing both for the mentality and the playstyle.

      @@kugel96I had the same thought, he’s still playing a bit more advanced but I’m pretty sure Kroos did as well at the start. There’s many similarities, and the passing technique and range have incredible similarities. Bischof is just a rather naive player right now, though, but of course since he’s young. He and Wanner are the two best playmaking options from Germany’s 2005 class.

    correct. I've been saying this ever since the trade with Bellinham and Mbappe, why do you need two more attackers when you already have great attackers (half dozen), but took away Kroos and Modric is obviously aged. You need two new Midfielders to keep the pace of the game, openings, innovation, etc. All attack and know one who lays it up in the center. The wingers and CBs need the center mids strong.

      they tried kroos+kimmich and kroos+gündogan midfield and it was awful, because apparently another playmaker next to kroos doesnt know what to do anymore because kroos does all the work allready. Kimmich and gündogan two of the very best midfielders in the world literally disapered next to kroos and became liabilities. Thats why at the euros there was allways a physical workhorse next to kroos (andrich or can) even tho there were better midfielders in the squad. kimmich had to move to rb and gündogan played as a 10. This alone speaks volumes about kroos ability.

    Logically a superstar leaves the club if it doesnt give him the respect as a star like him have had earned. Analog to Sala, or JBK, they also get not the respect as a deserving player from their club.
    Kroos knew that when Mbappe came, he would be stay in the shadow again, like in the past behind Ronaldo. But in the time with Ronaldo he had no problems with that, to liked to take a backseat because Ronaldo was allready a Madrid star! Ronaldo was the King before, but he doesnt stand behind Mbappe and thats exactly what Real was all about, which is why Kroos fled as a six-time CL Winner for Madrid because he would have more love and respect than one Mbappe deserves it!

    Honestly, I am skeptical on Kimmich. Why? Well... Bayern was actually at their best, when he played at Right Back. Like when they won the Champions League during the pandemic. Or during last years run to the semi final, where they lost to Real.
    When Kimmich plays central midfielder, like he did in from 2021-2023, they lose in the quarter final. So he is good enough as a right back to compete with Paris and Man City, but not as a CM.
    Don't get me wrong here: Kimmich would be an upgrade at CM for 90% of all football clubs. But he has his limitations on the absolute highest level. And that is the level you are expected to deliver for Real. So no, he would not be an upgrade over their current midfielders.
