This is exactly what I thought when under Bartomeu, why instead promoting la masia academy players they just bought a well known players, sure it helps to patch the weakest link, but what makes barca special is how they build a team from young talented players. Also, I think it's said somewhere from a player from la masia academh, barca play style is so different and a new player need to adapt to barca system and it takes time, while an academy players is trained tailor made for barca system since they're young, hence they need not an adaptation as much as new player coming from transfer market. The most frightening of this academy is that, when u can be good in barca you'll just be as good if not better somewhere else

Brommapojkarna is the best acanademy in sweden and also one of the best in europe they often win against real barca psg city and other youth teams in tournaments. But still they are one of the smallest and least supportet professinal team in sweden because they have no history like IFK, AIK and Malmö. Brommapojkarnas best youth players often go to a big swedish teams like them i mention before they go to england or another big leagues in europe like totenhams Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Bergvall
