To add on to your Shauna didn’t drink in ‘the dream’ theory but Jackie did… if you go back to Lottie’s vision a couple eps back, when she was at the mall in her ‘dream’. She sat at the table and the girls gave her food but she didn’t get to eat, did she? Laura Lee wouldn’t let her eat and told her she needed to go. It’s like if you eat or drink when you’re on the other side, you don’t come back. Also, the baby fed in the ‘dream’. Maybe that counts as well.
Last thing… the antler Queen is not a person!! I’ve been screaming this. 😅 I think that actually represent the spirit of the wilderness.

This is a concept that comes from Greek Mythology. I can't remember all the names, but it's from one. If you partake while in the underworld you stay. Notice that Shauna never even takes a sip of the tea that Nat gave her. Jackie and the Baby did partake and die, Lotte and Shauna did not and lived. So there is definitely something to this.

But Shauna drank the tea that Natalie gave her, I like the theory but I'm not sure it works fully? Or maybe because the tea was drugged it didn't keep her there? If we're thinking about a supernatural explanation I feel like Shauna's dream was a lesson for her and almost a gift, she got to bond with her baby and have time with him before she was brought back to reality, plus she got to see a vision of what might have happened had the baby survived.

Huhhh... I like that theory! I've been speculating why Lottie looks so disturbed in the footage of them at the airport in the rescue newsreel. They all kind of look disturbed, understandably, but she stuck out to me. I was thinking maybe she was angry to be brought out of the wilderness. Maybe upset that a fate she had a kind of belief or faith in that she was cheated out of? Idk...

i've been thinking this too!!!! it makes so much sense, i think she was the last one to pull the queen card and that's why she kept seeing it. it'd be similar to how lord of the flies ends with them being rescued right as they're about to battle. like even the "pit girl" scene could be a vision of lottie's and that's what should have happened to her, especially since pit girl was hung by her feet and travis was hung by his throat - something that reminds me of the hanged man tarot card. it symbolizes sacrifice and being suspended in time and letting go of control. maybe this fits??? or i'm just grasping at straws lol

I personally think that the increased number of dream sequences this season is just due to the fact that they are all starting to unravel mentally both in the past and present with everything that is going on. There were only a few dream sequences in season 1 but for the most part they had a grasp on their situation. As things have gotten more dire they have started to unravel and their grasp on their situation has begun to slip. I'm really excited to see what happens with the therapist! I never saw all those details you mentioned but you are so right! I've been having a theory that Lottie actually just stopped going to therapy and has instead just been imagining all these conversations with supposed "new" therapist. As her mental state has started to unravel so has the "real" feeling of the therapy sessions. Would also make sense why the therapist is always wearing matching clothes colors. Perhaps it's a clue that Lottie really is just imagining these sessions and is speaking to herself in a sense.

As of now I'm not thinking too much into the Ben stuff. Because at the time it happens, his reality is in the Cabin. The Apartment is in his head. So for the Ben in the Apartment to hear noises etc from the cabin while in the apartment is totally normal. It like when someone is saying your name as the try to wake you and it becomes apart of the dream you are having. But of course it's Yellowjackets, so it could mean anything. I don't think we're supposed to know yet.

Shauna did drink in the dream world. She drank tea that Natalie gave her once the baby finally latched and there was something in there that knocked Shauna out long enough for them to kill and eat the baby. It wasn’t a different dream from the baby being alive. It was the same one. Shauna was drugged with tea. Even Natalie looked sad that the baby was drinking milk finally because she knew what she was giving Shauna. I was blown away when it was the same dream because I too thought it was two different dreams. It was the second pass I caught the tea thing. Shauna even looked at the tea when she woke up (upstairs I might add) all wobbly realizing she was drugged.

Either dying in a plane crash or by starvation. I think option 2 is more realistic because the show's world building is pretty tight but there are just so many fantasmical things going on in the present day story line. For example How could Tai just leave her wife in the hospital and her child on his own to hitch hike, which is another really odd thing to add in there, people don't hitch hike. Also, murder suspects can't just up an leave town.

I believe that whatever deity they discovered in the wilderness used Travis to set off the chain of events that united the female survivors. The body they found in the attic was a man. Maybe this deity drove the man to kill himself, because it can only work through female hosts, and had no use for him. Like the coach said after they found him, he had enough ammunition to ride out the apocalypse. So the reason behind his suicide is still a mystery. The physical host in this case would be Taissa, which is able to take over her body when she's asleep. It can also communicate with Lottie, because she was shown, even as a child, that she had visions that came true, and everything Lottie has said in the series so far has come true. Why it chose Taissa, out of all of the other survivors as its physical host is also still a mystery. I love how this series went from Alive meets Lord Of The Flies, to "What in the hell is this series actually about?" And I mean that in the best way possible.

I don't think Tai was switching before the trip, but it is possible. That, or this violent streak, these two sides of her, left her more open to be a physical host.
Another thing I forgot to bring up is, with the exception of Misty (that we know of, anyway), is that aside from the crash, they all either died, or had near-death experiences. Nat in the motel room overdosing, Van in the woods, nearly eaten by wolves and nearly being burned alive. They believed she was dead enough to the point where they were going to burn her body.
Shauna, having the same vision of everyone gathered around her, like Jackie had when she was dying. Shauna either died or came close while giving birth. Travis tried to induce it, but wound up hanging because of a malfunction. I believe Lottie when she says what happened. Once the thought of what Nat told him about her near-death experience started taking root, it wouldn't leave his mind until he was driven to try it himself. The machine malfunctioning and killing Travis wasn't an accident. Whatever they carried back with them is strong, but I believe it needs them to all return. It could be strong enough to have used Lottie as a conduit to make the machine malfunction, since she was holding it in her hand.
Tai is another character I'm not sure had a near-death experience. We are all still in the dark, when it comes to everyone's complete backstory. Especially during the Antler Queen era. Thanks for reminding me about what Tai did in the beginning. That does add another piece to the puzzle, and I don't think the scene was written just so we wouldn't have to hear Jersey girl speak the entire series. Why she has such a strong Jersey accent, while the others don't have a Jersey accent at all, is bizarre.

I think there is an alternate reality/other dimension that you can get to/visit when you are near death but you can't stay there unless you actually die. Jackie went there and the hunter said they'd been waiting for her. Lottie went there (the mall) when she almost froze to death and Laura Lee told her, "I don't think you should stay here. You need to go. Go!" and pushed her out. Ben is learning how to get there the closer he gets to death...he might even be getting purposely tempted to go there for good. His first flashbacks morphed into fantasy and by his third, he had kind of wished himself into it. I think this is to show how tangible this other reality actually is. He can even hear Shauna's muffled screams from the other side during the charades game. I think it's possible that Javi might have been there when he disappeared and that's where his "friend" is. I think it also might be what adult Tai is talking about when she says that they are not where they are supposed to be and she's referring to Bad Tai, not human Tai, but I'm not sure about that one because then who would "they" be. I also think it's where Travis was trying to get to when he died...so I wonder if he got there or if you have to be in the woods and/or the cabin.

I do agree that Lottie's last couple "therapist sessions" were in her head. Found the angle that pulled back & didn't fully show the therapist a bit odd. But do like how there's a sense of mystery to that. The cut they did with Shauna's birth I thought made it very obvious it was a dream/hallucination. I personally never bought the Lottie story to her therapist when she said her visions weren't real. Like that was something she started saying to avoid electroshock therapy they showed her having initially having upon her being committed. It is possible she's going through an awakening of sorts, but I highly doubt she ever truly believed the visions weren't real. Also, I really really hope they aren't doing "it was all a dream." Lamest of the lame TV tropes out there.

I think a few things. One possibility is that Jackie never froze to death. The series is a nightmare she’s having. Another is they all know they’re going to die out in the wilderness and the adult timeline is a coping mechanism that they’re telling each other as they’re in and out of hallucinations due to Mercury poisoning. There are elements of these ideas in the lyrics "No return, no return, no reason" and insanity "Birthday suit, just a smile, no one home." Makes me wonder about Walter pointing out that her friendships are complex and brings up that the story about Adam’s mother is a lie based on his research. He knows that she lied about Adam and likely killed him to assist a friend because, well, she has the traits of a serial killer. He says it so calmly. Could they be in treatment to find out what they really did or come to terms what they really did out there?

So I have a weird theory , which I’m kinda hoping is wrong, but it has to do with Van after watching “Burial” . What if Tai’s sleepwalking and tree lady personality was awoken during Season 1 after learning from “Jessica Roberts” that Van actually died from cancer , and now what we are currently seeing is all in Tai’s head of how she wishes she could of known and been there for Van and Van isn’t real.
In the scene where Tai calls Shauna but gets Jeff , we hear her tell him she and the girls going to Lotties Wellness Center and she’s heading there now with Van , allegedly Van says hi Jeff!! , then flash to Jeff and he’s taking in the info with deep concentration but also seems very confused & surprised and the conversation ends with him saying oh hi Van, then the phone beeps signaling the call was ended almost too abruptly. That scene left me feeling like that was a weird phone call and hang up. Idk 🤷🏻‍♀️ there’s some other things that make me feel that there could be a hint to this theory playing out, but then there’s also other things that make me feel like “nahhh the others are interacting with Van too” but it would be interesting to see the roles reversed if Van really is just in Tai’s head now, as she wasn’t having it all those years ago in the wilderness when Shauna was going through the same thing but only with Jackie, well and Jackie’s corpse!! Maybe Tai has Van’s Ashe’s or remains with her and that’s what increasing the manifestation to an even higher degree 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm glad someone else besides me thought Tia hugging Misty was way off.
I've noticed another thing that Tia does when she's the other. Tia moves differently, especially when she turns, it's almost robot like. In Shauna's labor dream happens when Tia brings in the cradle and turns to leave out the door she moves like "the other", similar to how she walks and turns when taking her midnight strolls in the snow, I could be wrong though.
Everyone needs to remember the fans named the antler queen not the show writers. So I'm going with either the supernatural way where they all see her but in their own image. Or it's truly "folie a deux", and they are all hallucinating.
I'm waiting for Misty's depravation tank scene, I think it'll be wild.

People in his life that care enough to notice he was missing i.e. hangs with people. Sees her. Then spend all his time painting her? I counted 6 paintings, 5 sketches. 3 of the paintings were of the same moment? 2 were Big. That takes time. How long were they seeing each other? It's just super odd to me. Here's my take on the inspiration for the show: I feel like the creators were fans of Lost. And like me, and like basically everyone, hated the ending. And my hope is that with Yellowjackets, they are creating their own redemption for a plane crash show. The interviews I've seen showed the creators saying, they don't want to drag on questions and not answer things (which Lost was so guilty of). So I think that if they are going to do an alternate timeline (like Lost did with that "sideways" timeline) they will do it really well. I don't think that it'll just be a dream or they are all in a mental institute. But maybe that place - "the wilderness" is a portal to different parallel universes.

Nat dropped acid and it could be a bad trip. Lottie could be experiencing hallucinations and delusions. Misty could be fantasizing. All characters could be Taissa's alters. Even Jackie could be alive and it's a nightmare caused by her own insecurities of her teammates fighting and the weight of being captain is "eating" at her.

I have a feeling there's this mirroring reality happening along with actual reality in the show. A sort of "as above, so below" situation taking place. All the hallucinations, the visions of everyone together in different settings, even in the woods, there seems to be an underlying mirrored reality that's taking place along their own. It feels very much like an as above so below kind of occult-y situation where the YJ can actually tap into it and experience/see it unlike the average person going about their lives in blissful oblivion.

This is a wild theory but I think that Jeff may not be quite who he seems.
    1) I might buy the loyal dedicated hubby act except... he read those journals. She ate his girlfriend! She no doubt documented other awful things from the wilderness, yet as we know it he'd never even said a word to Shauna, reacted or even changed his behavior towards her. Sorry but that's NOT normal. What HAS he been doing at night? For a privately owned furniture store he probably could've rebuilt that inventory DB twice by now.
    2) His postcard/blackmail served the purpose of bringing 4 of the crash members together who really hadn't been in contact for over 2 decades and otherwise might've never seen each other again.
    3) I also believe Adam was sent by Lottie and may've been working with Jeff. Adam knew far too much about her nature in a short period of time, playing to her ego. What man is going to take the risk he took in another man's house/bed unless he knows for a fact her husband was not going to be there? Jeff happens to be out til the morning while Shauna is clearly slipping into darkness.
    4) It was Jeff's spontaneous trip and route to VA that saw them supposedly carjacked. This was possibly staged. Her tracker ends up in her van and leads her to the carjackers. Her armed confrontation further pushes Shauna into dark mode.
    5) I'm betting Jeff has even been putting the rabbits in the yard as reminders of Jackie.
    6) Finally after the call from Tai, it was Jeff who gave Shauna the final push, aggressively encouraging her to go to Lottie, In spite of likely knowing Lottie was institutionalized and having read about her and and all the things in the journal, he pushes his wife to go to Lottie's "Wellness camp"??! lol
Could he already be involved with Lottie and helping to lure Shauna back? Maybe Lottie meetings is where he's been spending his evenings/nights. What if it was Lottie who initiated contact with Jeff, wooed him into her cult, suggested he read those journals while not say anything to Shauna... and assist in getting her to return to Lottie.

That makes it hard to predict anything that will happen. I think Lottie will believe and convince the other yellowjackets that hunting and eating people chosen by drawing the queen card will ensure their survival because that is what the darkness wants vs purely out of hunger. For some time, they all believe her and in the darkness, until something major happens to pull some out of the delusion. Like a folly a deux type situation but with many people vs just 2.

I did have a thought that the “darkness” in the wilderness doesn’t actually exist. Everyone keeps trying to piece together how things tie into it and why the girls all seem to be cursed. I summed it down to lottie being off her meds and tais fugue state/sleepwalking being a trauma response. The only reasons I have for those not being true is the fact that taissa all throughout the show seems to be pretty level headed. I think out of all of the girls she’s the most leader-like. And also the flashback of Lottie when she was a kid and basically predicted the car crash before it happened. Like it does seem like the both of them are most connected to the wilderness but also again Lottie stops taking her medication pretty quickly after the crash and tai’s brain could have just created this counterpart to try and help deal with the trauma (considering tai doesn’t even remember what she does in her fugue state). Then you have the other girls who all pretty self explanatory as to why they are the way they are. Shauna blaming herself for Jackie’s death and losing a baby, nat has kind of always had addiction issues, van almost died 3 times, and misty is just misty.

    • @JT-xj9cv
      @JT-xj9cv Год назад +1

I also think a really interesting theory I saw on tik tok could be true and help tie into the fact the woods aren’t cursed. Someone said that they think that area use to be for mining. Dead attic guy drew the symbols everywhere to help map it all out, and the reason javi was able to survive winter for two months was because he found his way down to the tunnels. We also saw Lottie in some kind of tunnel when she was hallucinating while being baptized. They added that fugue tai could have been stealing the bear meat for javi.
I think the girls really just went through something so incredibly traumatic and didn’t make it easier on themselves and they are paying for it still, but idk if it’s because the wilderness is punishing them or has attached itself onto them. However all that being said I think that option is too logical and lame and I hope they are cursed 😂

Well here's the crazy theory that I have... I think the young cop ...the one with the mustache... Is Shauna's son from the wilderness. I think the antler Queen raised him... I think that's also why hes so aggressive and wants to take Shauna down. And in the finale you see Lottie look at Shauna's daughter Callie and say she's so powerful. I think that she was born outside the wilderness of the same parents and inherited the same equal power but for good. So I think they're going to try to lineup a pitting of Callie up against the son. Cause remember in interviews the cast said that the baby is ok... And we took it like they were confirming that they don't eat the baby. But what if it really means the baby didn't die.

  • @trudy101

Yes I definitely think there is something going on with the timelines and dreams and possibly hallucinations. Like how much is this real, memories, or something the girls made up in their heads.

Good theory on Tai. I too wondered why she was so happy to see Misty. I don't think they are Jacob Laddering all of us but mostly because the airport scene at their rescue seemed 'real' and not dream sequence-y. You would think it would be more than them hiding their faces and scurrying away if it was all made up. But there is some lie or made up part to do with Lottie we don't know about yet.
Do we still think there is a 7th survivor? It is getting so late in the season...unless they pull a Who Shot JR during the final scene of episode 13.

Hi love, thank you for watching my Yellowjackets videos. So just to explain what happened - I am never sick, I’ve never even had the flu, but the day the finale was released I felt horrible. I ended up having a respiratory virus for over two weeks and literally just slept; I couldn’t eat, watch tv, nothing, it was HORRENDOUS! I wasn’t back to normal for over a month, so by the time I was back to myself, the finale had been over for 4-5 weeks as unfortunately youtube is not something I can do when unwell because my videos would be terrible. If I released a finale video after a month, or even now, it would absolutely BOMB because no one is looking for a Yellowjackets finale review/theories right now. I do know there is a bonus episode that is supposed to come out soonish so what I’m planning on doing is covering the bonus ep & doing an extra long video for it so half is the bonus ep and then half is the finale thoughts & theories. I hope that all makes sense and sounds okay, I was SO annoyed about the virus but I seriously have never had anything like that hit me in my life & it was awful. Thanks so much for your support & if the bonus ep isn’t out soon I will do a ‘season three theories’ video & that will include all my thoughts & theories from the finale. Thanks again! ❤️

This show's details really have that LOST kinda vibe. The whole Yellowjackets seems to be going to that direction, I just hope they dont let thing unresolved like in Lost. On an interview, Kevin Alves did say he really wanted to know where did Javi has been. So for sure that question is not gonna get answered.
By the way, I have a season 1 theory: Jackie died cause she was the only one that didnt drank the magic mushrooms soup and didnt participate on that whole "feral ritual" they were doing while high. And Shauna came back to life because she drank it on her dream

Spoiler, they’re all the antler queen. They take turns dressing up and most likely picking cards to see who’ll be hunted next.
As far as the red river and Javi’s survival in the snow there’s most likely an old mining town somewhere nearby that caused the red/orange water and also kept Javi alive. That or he was hiding under the cabin and coming in at night and using the bathroom in there (still no answers for who went #2 rather than #1 in the bucket (probably the biggest mystery from this extremely slow paced season 2 that’s coasting on season 1’s success). Did the writers have nothing planned for season 2??

Remember in the episode they find the cabin? they find the cabin because of light in the trees. Like sunlight off a window? It reminded me of the movie Old.
    Spoilers for Old:
There are people who get magical stuck on an beach. They see a light like that in the trees. It turns out to be someone taking photos or video. Can’t remember.
In the end it turns out they were being experimented on.
Then there is Cabin in the Woods:
Kind of the same thought process. People watching and choreographing a game.

Soon as I saw the Coach Ben fantasy/flashback scene I said "That's the cabin!" Like most people, I believe Coach's days are numbered (and that number might be one). I believe these scenes with him are intended to get us to know him more as a character, so that his demise will have more of an impact on the viewer.
I have a friend who is a maternity nurse. As soon as the placenta fell out, I texted her and asked her about that. She immediately texted back "The baby will be stillborn." As far as the wacky alternate universe, multiple reality, are-they-actually-dead "Lost"-like theories floating around, I really hope they don't go there. I believe they will introduce a somewhat supernatural element at some point, but I don't think they will go completely off the rails like "Lost" did.
I will repeat my previous observation about how the stories will wrap up. The cabin will burn at the end of season 3 and the girls will have to find shelter, most likely in the wreckage of the plane. As I said in an earlier post to a previous video by Ash - watch the Pit Girl Feast scene again and you will see they are on a hill just above the plane, which is miles from the cabin. Why would they go that far from the cabin to have their meal ceremony? This will fuel their final descent into madness and season 4, at least for the girls, will be completely and utterly bonkers. The girls will be rescued at the end of season 4 and season 5 will be about them rebuilding their lives - and their sanity - back home. Also, season 5 will have the adults realize that to finally put everything behind them they will have to return to.the wilderness.
One more thing - the amazing Sophie Nelisse (teen Shauna) is STEAMROLLING her way an Emmy nom, maybe even a win. It should come down to her, Melanie Lynskey and Succession's Sarah Snook.
OK, I'm done. Thanks for bearing with me.

ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO!!! Thank you so much, really look forward to these.
    Question for you:
What is your take on adult Natalie being drugged by Lottie at the compound? They've been dropping hints like crazy the past couple of episodes and in 206, Nat, the best shot of any of them, can't hit the honey bottles and then goes full Heliotrope and staggers toward the other Yellowjackets like she is blazed out on Angel Dust. I think Lottie was also drugging Travis in the cabin in the '96 timeline. Would love to hear your thoughts.

    • @PK4Real

@@AshSilver That scene where Lisa gives Lottie the smoothie was one of the main clues for me. The writers took the time to show that different ingredients in the smoothie elicited different behavioral outcomes.
