      @Paco_Gaepedoresour (Volvo B10BLE) Oranas at Burwood depot SHOULD stay for another year or two, but the only real way to find out is to wait and see. I suppose in comparison to newer buses the Oranas could be considered cute, specially the low-entry ones as opposed to their larger high-floor sisters. The L113CRL Oranas at Willoughby should still stick around for a little longer, but I wouldn’t give them any longer than a year. It’ll be sad once every type of Orana is finally gone, I love them so much 😭

      Having grown up in the Botany area, I remember seeing the PoBo and Waverley Oranas all the time. When I was little I knew them as “the long one” (TRBL), “the tall one” (CRB), and “the short one” (CRL/B10BLE). My favourite was always the L113TRBL because they’re big. Thanks for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed it!

    These are the last buses that were truly an upgrade. Everything since is a "refresh" at best, or a downgrade with the seats, armrests, loud bells, awkward buttons, etc.

      I agree, their PMC predecessors feel ancient in comparison to the Oranas, and for a 1993 design these buses were way ahead of their time. It’s a shame to finally see them go, but we can all admit that they’ve had a good run.

    All of them will be stuck with Elements from now on. Also, Sydney's public transport system is starting to evolve a little, with more electric buses such as the Elements rolling out into service, the Metro extending to Bankstown, and many more to come in the next few years.
    Sad that the Oranas are set to disappear from the roads anytime soon, although, they might return for heritage events or doing rail replacement runs (being sold to charter operators).

    I’m assuming that the ones operated by Keolis Downer Northern Beaches will still stay in operation?

    • @coolsoap8
      @coolsoap8  2 дня назад +1

      The KDNB ones are on Volvo B10BLE chassis, they will stay for a bit longer. HOWEVER… electric charging stations are about to be installed at Brookvale so once there are electric buses at Brookvale, the Oranas in the Northern Beaches will be gone!
