Living in Southern California as a coaster enthusiast is such a blessing--we have some amazing coasters and some of the best dark rides in the world.
this is true, but its also a curse because we are so far removed from all the coasters that are not in socal lol

I find it hilarious that Coaster at Blackbeard’s was the highest rated kiddie coaster. I’ve always lived around 10-15 minutes away from Blackbeard’s and it’s about a mile away from a gym I consistently go to yet I’ve never gotten the credit.
I’m waiting for another local park to reopen so I can get both local kiddie credits in the same day.
Just wanted to say as of 3-31-23 I have made the drop on "Emperor " at SeaWorld San Diego 2,000 times since it opened one year ago!!!
On my Silver season memembership pass I rode Emperor from 3-7-22 through 3-31-23 ... 2,000 times and everytime was nothing but FUN!
It's cool to see it came in #12 in the recent top 101 coasters, rather impressive for a small, new coaster. Cheers, scotto-
Haven't ridden it yet, but I don't know how that one beat Gravity coaster at Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek, that thing has some serious airtime on it's 2 airtime hills 🤣

I'm going to knotts tomorrow. Ghostrider is a great coaster it's just not 'world class' in my opinion. I'll get a night ride tommorrow and check back haha.

Been on 68/76 adult coasters and 7/25 kid coasters. My Top 10 would be fairly similar to the list with a few coasters shuffled around:
1. X2
2. Twisted Colossus
3. GhostRider
4. RailBlazer
5. GoldStriker
6. Wonder Woman
7. Joker
8. Tatsu
9. XCelerator
10. Apocalypse (Barely edges out Full Throttle, Flight Deck, and & Giant Dipper at Santa Cruz)
The top 5 are world class coasters
I'm almost at completion at 71/76 adult and 18/25 kiddie, and I like your list alot more than the results hahaha

Totally agree with the Ghostrider placement! I have yet to ride twisted colossus.
Viper placed at #35 is criminal! It should be in at least the top 20 in my opinion!

I’m really surprised and very pleased how high Ghostrider placed. Especially considering goldstriker placed a decent bit behind it and they’re usually fighting for it. How many total votes did this poll have?
I agree. I wonder how awesome it would be if we took the top 100 wooden coasters, where Ghost Rider would rank.

The beginning of list wass all over the place. There were some head scratchers on the low end. I’d like to see your top 100 of The tri state coasters. 😊
Excellent job. Personally I have Scream over Goliath and I have Ghost Rider as my favorite in the state with Twisted Colossus second. (But it's super close for me on these two)

I’m surprised and Twisted Colossus is the number one coaster that I went on at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Maybe I’ll visit there again sometimes and go back to LA.

The Worst ride at SFMM was Green Lantern. We called it the Nutcracker!!!!! So happy that it is gone.
Coaster at Blackbeards is definitely not worthy of the top spot lol it is a very small miler and sea serpent at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is easily much better just based on the scenery and the extra helix. But, rules are rules and that’s what got the votes. Lol great video.

After riding a good amount of these it surprises me that X2 isn't #1. This ride is simply insane, especially in the inner seat since you aren't banging your head everywhere, also justice for my boy Viper, that ride was placed way too far back in my honest opinion. I feel like it gets too much hate
For as great as many people think X2 is, it still is quite polarizing as it isn’t the smoothest. It actually has jumped up a few spots from last time we did this along with Viper!
Gadgets is better than Merlin’s for sure. What a shamble.

also in my opinion monte did not close. its just being refurbished. if there is still original track still the same coaster
@Enzo Discovery it is though its how I view it. for it to be a new coaster 100% of the existing coaster needs to be replaced. the "coaster" is the track the trains and the machanics. 100% of all that have to be replaced to be a "new coaster"was ghost rider a new coaster after its referb?

It is overrated but if you get a few inches of room and a double duel it’s great
Twisted Colossus is way too overrated... Not nearly the best airtime in the US by a long shot anymore. And with how many years you can ride it without a single duel, it just leaves more to be desired than to be enjoyed. It doesn't even make my top 5 in the state. The long wait on the second lift hill would be worth it if it could guarantee a duel, otherwise it truly just feels like 2 halves of any other RMC with a long disappointing minute between the two
I love being in Southen California, it's a blessing and heaven for any coaster enthusiast. I'm not going to lie, when I saw how low Coast Rider was, I laughed as that ride hurt me a lot. One of the most painful credits of my life. Ghostrider deserves to be that high with X2 and Twisted Colossus. 🎢❤
