    Nice video! I made a few brick boards before I had a drum sander... so much sanding!! Beautiful board, well done!

    Very nice design and an excellent choice of woods. By the way, I noticed the Kapex has been relegated to be buried under the sawdust from your jointer/planer.

      Hi Dan, thanks. I promise you its temporary due to time constraints. I do have plans for a workshop refit after Christmas. 👍

      @@GTWoodshop The Kapex and I say “thank you.” By the way, I’m using bamboo plywood to make cutting boards for Christmas gifts. Not nearly as fancy as your board.

    is that a makita or bosch sander ? like the rotary mode, boards look great, but id be loathe to use them as they are too pretty ;0)

    • @GTWoodshop
      @GTWoodshop  2 года назад +1

      Hi Kevin, thank you. A lot of our 'Chopping Board' Customers refuse to use them as boards apparently. That's quite a compliment I feel. Its a Makita Sander, don't use it often as its very heavy.

    hi again graham i see you use both pipe clamps and revo bessey clamps for cutting boards just wondering which you prefer also do the pipe ones clamp exactly at 90%

    • @GTWoodshop
      @GTWoodshop  2 года назад

      Hi Richard, that's quite a question. I like the pipe clamps as they are really easy to clean and don't tend to react with the glue so much (black lines), however the heads have a tendency to angle out and lift the end boards as you put pressure on unless you use cauls or waste boards. I also really like the parallel clamps as they don't budge but you have to use masking tape on the spines so they don't gunge up with glue drips or leave horrible black lines. I'm favouring the parallel clamps lately. Does that help at all?

    • @GTWoodshop
