When mages destroy bot lane nobody bats an eye. When an ADC dominates mid then they have their whole kit changed and constantly adjusted
I feel like you’re working with two different demons here. If an ADC is good in mid, that means they’re really strong even without a support, and not only that, but they’re getting the resources of a mid laner instead of having to share, and so likely can dominate the game. If a mage is good in bot lane, that means they’re doing well in bot lane, and doing a little too well at fighting ADCs and being viable without too many resources. But one, they’re on ADC resources, so even if they cheese or win lane, that might not determine the game state as dramatically as an ADC winning mid, and two, it can often be match up unfamiliarity that makes mages in bot strong, and not an inherent balance issue. It can feel bad to play against a cheesy mage + support combo because together they might have unparalleled poke and/or CC compared to an ADC + supp, but then you miss out on damage with that bot lane and might not have tank killing power, and at the same time not have the resources to match an even mid-laner because they get more EXP than you do.
@@lanrye4541 Yea pretty much, main thing you lose out on being in botlane is XP and typically mages are way more reliant on Ability ranks than ADC's, Obv there are exceptions like Veigar/Ziggs, but those champs got nerfs specifically targeted a their ability base value (Veigar got -30% Ap ratio on W rank 1 + 10% at rank 5) Ziggs got his E damage cut by 10, and his E slow cut by 20% rank 1 which substantially hits bot more than Mid (More levels in mid). The primary problem with ADC's going mid is that they arent supposed to be a self sufficient class in the early game, thats the classes weakness for their scaling power/carry potential. Lucian is the standout example of what happens when an ADC becomes too self sufficient, champ dominated mid in high elo/pro so much that he basically died as an ADC (Cause his adc was weak, but he was eating nerfs cause of his midlane power). Only solution was to make him less self sufficient through a rework, which seems to have completely resolved his midlane issue, while keeping the champ identity/fun factor. Yes hes more reliant on his team now but atleast he doesnt have to sit at a 46-47% winrate in adc.
Bro we have Tristana perma picked mid this patch. And ziggs bot was heavily nerfed along with many other mages that played on adc role

Isn't that crazy that ADC players cries when when non-ADC champions are viable as botlane carry? Not even broken, just the fact they are good and has like 3% pickrate. Every other lane has class diversity, where did you see midlaner who cried "why assasins are played in midlane!". Or support who would complain that Nautilus is played as support, cause only enchaners should be sup! But for some mysterious reasons ADC players decided that botlane carry is only ADC.
Well, better for me, cause when some mage is good on botlane, I can abuse the fact that ADC players can't play against it and never steal this pick. Shame on Riot for removing resists from small runes, it was a deserved punishment for botlane players who couldn't even open his eyes and take magic resists against Ziggs. I don't know why Riot decided that players should not be punished for being blind and taking armor against mages.
And it's not even like ADC plays ONLY on bot. We still have Akshan, Quinn, TF (AD TF is basically ADC), Vayne, Tristana, Graves, Senna, Kindred. But if Veigar is good as botlane carry, it's unacceptable
Adc players hate it because in lane mages simply just have better tools to get an advantage. Mages have: better waveclear, better poke, better self peel, engaage for their support, and better early damage. An adc playing against a mage is a lose situation unless that adc is caitlyn. And people DID take magic resist into mages, and it still sucked. Tank supps and enchanters at the end of the day do the same thing, peel for the adc, and set them up to get kills. Thats why no one complains. People complain abount ranged top laners because the moment the game starts, the ranged top laner has an advantage. Theres a reason why when people see you lock in naafiri support, they think youre trolling. She has no peel, no cc, and a selfish kit. However they accept pyke why? He can hook stun and set his team up for success.
It's generally just not very fun for most players tbh. It's not like mages don't scale either so just struggling to stay in the game doesn't do much if you have a bad start which is also demoralizing imo.
ADC main here: yes, I hate when mages are bot carries. Tbh I hate when true mages (non enchanters) are viable as supports, but that’s a whole different story. When mages are viable as bot carries, they have so many tools to succeed that you (probably) don’t have. Early kill threat, CC, and the ability to set up your own kills without needing a support as a condition.
Further, because you have seasons of experience laning against other ADCs and not mages, you can often be caught off guard by abilities you’re only used to interacting with in team fights.
I’m not saying mages shouldn’t be played bot, but I think it’s justified for ADC players not to like it, in the same sense that top laners shouldn’t have to respect Vayne top
@@deronawuah2136Most top laners complain about ranged top for being annoying but accept it as part of the game. And it was mostly ghost that top laners were complaining about. ADC, it doesn’t seem like they can accept that mages can be viable in bot lane and think it’s someone impossible that a mage being viable in bot she ever be a possibility which makes no sense in a game that has as much variety as league does at times.
The beginning of this video using kaisa as an example is so disingenuous. Kaisa's kit has literally everything in it and is clearly overloaded beyond belief. THAT is why her pick rate is permanently 20+% no matter what her winrate is since her release. Most players care about winning, so most will pick the strongest champ they can - Kaisa or any other 200 year champ which has more tools, more damage, more mobility, more stats, more everything. It is gross to imply that kaisa has ever been close to weak a single time since her inception. Winrate decreasing is expected when the playrate increases!
kaisa is not even half as overloaded as most 200 year champs, let's take yone as example here since he's the OG 200 years champ, what kaisa has over yone is ap ratios and build diversity (and the less than 0.5s invis ig), which yone more than makes up for in: Hybrid Damage, CC, the absolute travesty that is his e and his w shield. kaisas kit is in no way as overloaded as that of 200 year champs
