Mine arrived from Joma today. I paid 199. The overall weight is noticeably kinda light, when compared to my other stainless steel watches (Tag, Victorinox, ...) but otherwise I like it a lot. This review called it at 140 grams. It’s my 1st Pepsi style watch and though I own a Tudor and other attractive watches I have the sense that this one may get more notice/ compliments.
Thanks to or because of this video, I was looking for a new cheap GMT and so I ordered this MT but in Root Beer version. I received it yesterday and a word …. Superb ! Almost no reproach to make. Impeccable finishes, I have fully inspected it with a lens. Perfect brushing, polishing, pvd, case and strap. The 1886 on the side does not bother me, no worse than Invicta. Special mention for the bezel. In alu with numbers perfectly engraved ceramic style, satin, with white inlays very well applied. Neither tight nor loose, and rotates easily in 120 clicks. And when the light changes the bezel becomes entirely black and the dial goes from light brown to dark brown (not sunburst !) ! The cyclop enlarges the date just as it should. The SL on the markers and hands is very well applied and the lume is correct. Actually the hands do not point precisely at the markers but it depends on where on the dial, so I think it is a problem of irregular markers on the dial. The Ronda movement is in 24H, and it’s interesting because funny to see at a time of the day the 4 superimposed hands. On the other hand the GMT setting is imprecise because not in jump like for example on my Glycine Airman GMT automatic in ETA 2893-2. You just have to set it to exactly one hour and that’s it. To sum up, we got value for money, very good deal at $199 for the Root Beer, $260 all inclusive arrived in France. A comparison below …..

Nice review... I purchased the "Batman" version when they first offered this watch on Joma for $169.00 and for the money I couldn't believe the price and it is worth every penny of a buck 69...! I already have a MT automatic Vintage and I was so impressed with it and the economical price I didn't hesitate to purchase the quartz GMT.... This is a great every day watch with a lot of function.... By the way, highly recommend the Mathey Tissot Automatic Vintage Watches... I have one 42MM with the Pepsi bezel and it's excellent and I don't think I payed much more than $275.00 for it and it has a Sellita sw-200 movement and keeps great time...
I bought this watch used but almost new.Impressions initially are very positive.It certainly looks far better finished than I expected at its' price point,it is a genuinely great looking watch.The second hand alignment on mine looks a lot better than the one in the video.For my use the few negative things are mostly irrelevant...I only use the bezel for second time zone and very seldom actually need great visibility in the dark.The action of the screw down crown is ok but it feels a little flimsier than my other watches.The watch also seems quite lightweight (not really a negative for me).All in all a very satisfactory and good looking addition to my small collection.
Bought one in Batman guise on the strength of this review. For the price, can’t fault it much, with the exception of the bezel stiffness (although that might get better). I’m sure this will become a basher grab-and-go watch for me. The watch fits my not-so-large wrist very well with the nicely curved lugs and the reduced band distance. For the price point, you cannot go wrong with this watch. On another couple of notes, on mine the seconds hand aligns well with the markers, and love the fact that in the hour hand the pattern is a “dove footprint” rather than the Rolex-like “Mercedes” pattern. Thank you.

I have a rotary gmt I picked up a couple of years ago for £89 UK...it's really quite decent, one or two compromises mainly on the clasp but its the amount of money I want to pay for a quartz.
I’m thinking about getting one of these maybe in the root beer color or the Pepsi not too sure. I already have a Casio duro with a Pepsi bezel and like the look of the root beer. My dream watch is the Rolex gmt master II Pepsi hopefully one day I’ll be able to get it.
The hour hand isn't really Mercedes, but more of a "peace" logo. So I guess I'll call this a timepeace. And the price is super sharp! I'm not surprised about the poor lume or bezel because how else could they sell the watch for that price. But it's got quality where its needed. I agree with your title!
I was going to pull the trigger on one of these but it's a damn shame the bezel is not bidirectional like a true GMT should be. That's the whole point of that function, to go clockwise for GMT- or counterclockwise GMT+ to give your third time zone reading on the 24-hr hand when it's set to GMT/UTC.
I bought a Tudor GMT and love it, but these homages are so damn irresistible because a Rolex is waaay over my budget. How is this movement powered by a battery so smooth???
Parnis GMT is arguably better. It has Automatic movement vs quartz. The crystal is Sapphire not simply coated and finally the end links are solid not hollow on the MT GMT. I've had mine for 3 years now and had no major issues. Lume too is better than the MT. Finally NO backplay on the Parnis GMT bezel
To compare with the Pagani Design GMT that I also have, with a Jubilee strap too, the Mathey is clearly well above. The bezel of the PD is not tight enough, the edge is rough, and all parts that are not visible as the back of the case and the reverse of the strap are not finished, with sharp edges. The date enlargement is so high that we can no longer read it. With a lens this PD is a disaster. As for the movement yes automatic but on 12H so not really of interest. And in addition mine broke down after 2 weeks, problem with the GMT hand, I am in dispute with the seller on Ali!! Conclusion rather put $169 in the MT!!

@@ShinyThings Sometimes GMT hand stops rotating or slowing down ! With video evidence, answer of Ali, .... Dispute valid but they refund only 15.54€ ! If I wanted to recover the 77.54€ spent, I had to send the watch back to China (at the seller’s fees) ... I chose the easier solution 15.54€ ! :-(
Pity it doesn't have a ceramic bezel. I thought the Pagani Pepsi GMT had a ceramic bezel (as advertised on their site), but was disappointed to find it had an aluminium one too.

Interesting. I personally don't see how this any better than the likes of Pagani Design or the even better Phylida GMT I have, to be honest. The build quality seems about the same.
Nice watch but I think the Pagani clasp and tapering looks superior, and ceramic bezel (on the black and blue models). But the QC will prob be better on these and the dial is very nice on that though
@All Things Important Politics I personally like the vintage look of this bezel, possibly my photography didn't to it justice in the video 🙂 Ceramic bezel on Pagani does look good (when it aligns and blue is not shifted by the 6 and 18 😊 - the issue that I was told is now fixed in the new batch ) and it is of course more scratch resistant. As much as I love the original Rolex GMT...and no, I can’t afford one. I find it strange that another Swiss company brings out a homage to the original classic GMT. I thought this only happened with Chinese companies. Okay, this company has “Swiss made” on the box and watch, how correct that is is anyone’s guess when let’s say, comparing to Rolex, Is the watch fully manufacture and assembled in Switzerland.....but they will have some steep value for money competition from the likes of San Martin, Pagarni Design, etc, etc...
I believe that this watch and this company is an epitome of the problems of the Swiss watchmaking today. MT claims to be a watchmaker and boasts of its history, but let us be honest, they stole the design from Rolex, they put it movements that they do not produce (ETA, Ronda), the only thing they do is put SWISS MADE on the bottom of the dial and you are paying throught the nose for that. By the way the quality of the watch itself is very mediocre and comparable to Chinese counterparts like STARKING. No design, no quality, no engeneering, no craftsmanship involved.... This is a complete disgrace.
Kind of but not really. There is a history behind Mathey tissot. They make some really nice watches. I do get your point about homage watches but Rolex Daytona is a homage to the speedmaster and Rolex copied the zodiac dive watch design for the submariner.

I'd prefer Pagani just for the simple fact that it's an automatic. I don't really think quartz is the way to go for thia design and the pricepoint.

Expensive for a quartz even with a Swiss quartz movement. I got the Pagani GMT instead. Two years later, so far so good.

the aluminum bezel puts me off... I'd save up and get the Cronos GMT from Aliexpress with the ceramic bezel. Looks way better 👍🏼

$170 is pretty good but still double the price of a Pagani Design and that ones a 40mm auto

Steinhearts is swiss and a copy of some Rolex! Gylcine is swiss and a copy of the sub. Plenty of other Swiss watch makers that make homage watches.

Since it's quartz it really isn't a watch and is not even close to the value of a parnis gmt using a dg 3804.
Cheap because it's quartz. A small motherboard of cheap electronics...always go automatic.
