True. But even fruits contain fructosis. All kinds of food with low glycemical index ,such as meat, cheese, even eggs increase blood glukose. So I prefer to take natural sugar regulators, than Sitagliptin.
I took it while pregnant. Doctor wanted me to take insulin. I said hold my tea. Took it for Two weeks, it lowered my sugar and I was eating salads and Meats mostly. When he tested me Again he said I guess you know what you’re doing. Do you want to talk about a c section. Nope and I walked out. I had a midwife. 45 mins n three pushes and baby was healthy.
For a brief time, my chiropractor put me on gymnemma to reduce sugar cravings. It was in tablet form. She suggested to me that I break up the tablet in my mouth momentarily just prior to swallowing. It was terribly bitter, but instantly I had ZERO perception of sweetness when I ate. It would last for about 2 hours. Experimented with Milk Duds candy. Made them taste like balls of wax. Coke tasted like plain carbonated water. I ordered some on my own from Swanson's(very inexpensive capsules). I have found that I can open one capsule and make it last several days. A very small amount of the ground herb is dropped onto the tongue. It probably doesn't have nearly the same systemic impact, but if done regularly, it keeps me out of the donut shop.
@@PrevMedHealth Yes, Dr. Brewer, it works ( at least for me) for any type of sweetness. Cookies taste like plain flour. It alters the taste of my toothpaste and completely ruins my favorite sweet tea.
Lots of possible mechanisms to mess up metabolism by ingestion stuff we don't know how it works. To eat that stuff just to reduce damage sugar does to us after we consume it daily in large amounts. Any alternative solution ideas besides eating cow plants? Anybody?
Yes, my doctor gave me an alternative according to guidelines of American Diabetes Association. She said to eat carbs frequently and to take lots of Glipizide. She said she will start insulin next week. I will probably become legaly blind and loose my toe. This is my alternative. No she didn't mention I SHOULD STOP EATING CARBS. 🤬😡🤬😡
how long do the effects of gymnema sylvestre stay in your system? i had been taking it off and on for about a month. i had a doctor's appt. yesterday. i did not take ANY GS wednesday. Was that enough time for it to be out of my system, so the blood work results were not thrown off?
This video is very helpful. So thank you for taking the time to inform us about Gymnema Sylvestre. Thankfully, i dont suffer from diabetes. However, when i did a full check up, it turned out my glucose was high. I was wondering, is it safe for people who dont suffer from diabetes to take 400 mg Gymnema pills daily? Thanks!
Awaiting for the follow-up video! Took it years ago in a multi herb/mineral combo capsule (Banama Leaf/Chromium/ Gymnema/others) and found a short term effect- as in only effective for a few hours after ingestion. My 2 cents.
I'm sure a lot would agree with you. Aspirin is OTC. And it's not safe. In fact, air and water have both killed people. So, yes, the word "safe" is relative.
You seemed to provide some disclaimers to you're statement already, I will expound. In general, FDA is limited to postmarket enforcement because, unlike drugs that must be proven safe and effective for their intended use before marketing, there are no provisions in the law for FDA to approve dietary supplements for safety before they reach the consumer. But generally they have seemed to be safe. Though there are some like Kava that can cause liver injury from overuse, and a case in the U.S of a female requiring a liver transplant. It depletes glutathione levels in the liver and inhibits certain enzymes involved in the metabolism of many drugs. This isn't required to be labeled on the supplement bottle. Many ingredients are produced far away and our ability for oversight and regulation is very limited. Another example is where there have been cases of turmeric products including extract supplements, containing lead chromate as a vibrant yellow dye, a use that results in levels that are magnitudes greater than the limits set by the FDA. I use supplements but if they will be taken frequently, a fair level of research is needed by the consumer as there are sometimes trends of certain supplements being tainted to appear legitimate or have effects that are more desirable. The supplement manufacture does not know what is being done to their ingredients by their supplier, unless they lab test, and there is no one regulating them until after consumers are already exposed. There are no requirements for the label to state contraindications other than to follow few specific laws which vary by state. e.g. California has specific regulations that require a warning statement on the labels of dietary supplements that contain stimulant laxative ingredients, such as senna, cascara sagrada, aloe latex, buckthorn, frangula, and rhubarb root. People who buy supplements tend to research them, there is definitely a risk being taken if they do not, what that level of risk is can be hard to determine.

After stopping taking these will I still be able to taste sugar or not?
Yes. They last only a few hours

Good for you! Drs have no clue about nutrition. They are not interested in preventative medicine, they just want to promote pharmaceuticals.

That is very interesting. Did it have any impact on non-sugar sweeteners?

Is gymnema Sylvestre better than bitter melon?
I’d say so.
Bitter Mellon is long term. Gymnea works for me immediately. Metformin does not reduce the sugar. Gymnea does

I have an issue with this statement: "supplements are safe, if they wouldn't there would be laws regulating them." Some people would disagree.
I'm sure a lot would agree with you. Aspirin is OTC. And it's not safe. In fact, air and water have both killed people. So, yes, the word "safe" is relative.
The FDA catergorizes these supplements as General Safe which is why they dont need to approve it.
