I LOVE the fact that I've seen people react to this and say "I normally only listen to country" or "I normally only listen to rock" and they both just fall for the track IMMEDIATELY, like that some real world unification stuff happening there, how many people could this man bring together using tracks like this?
Hardy and some buddies wrote Radio Song because Country radio refused to play a song Hardy had written called "Give Heaven Some Hell" they said having heaven and hell in the title was sacrilegious. It really pissed Hardy off and he took to the pen and invited friends! Also Hardy can get his scream on too!
Great reaction! There is an interview explaining Hardy’s process. Hardy is a rock/metal fan from Mississippi. Country is where he got his song writing start. He’s always been a little on the heavier country side. He decided he wanted to do both. Rock artists started following him and reaching out and he said screw it! I’m going to do both. His goal is to be on country lists as well as rock stations. I AM NOT A COU TRY FAN, but I LOVE HARDY! He writes most of the cringey country radio songs, but doesn’t like it, in fact he said they are “douchey country bro songs” 😂
Hardy and Jeremy followed each other on instagram and Hardy reached out with this idea and the parts of the song he already had finished. Jeremy did his screams and sent them back and they were used without anything having to be re-recorded. Guitar work was done by Cody Quistad from Wage War.
Being from mississippi like hardy we grew up with all genres most people think we all country bumpkins here but we grew up with everything from black sabbath to johnny cash and everything between 🤘🏻
Hardy has alot of ties to the rock/metal industry through his own preferences in music and his producer Joey Moi, I can’t remember the name of song but he has a song on his Hixtape vol1 album with Zakk Wylde
