Agreed!!! Got the CD in my car radio and I ripped the cd to my HD and listen to it at home to!... LOVE EVERY SONG ON IT!!!... One of my top ones is Kill Sh!t till I Die because it reminds me of my early years hunting with my Dad...
I've listened to it 5x already I cnt find a, track I don't like. I'm so happy hardys finally gettin the recognition he deseved as so eloquently said in mocking bird
A friend just saw him in concert and he explained why he (Hardy) chose to write this song. He wrote it because his song 'Give Heaven some Hell' wasn't played on country radio because it was deemed sacrilegious because of having heaven and hell in the title. So this is a direct slap on the suits faces in the industry. They said it wouldn't work...2 middle finger right at them. He's doing just fine.
This is soooooo wrong. But somehow funny. Bro-Metal-Country. I suggest, that you clean the ears with some of the following: Meshuggah - Bleed (live, drum cam) Spiritbox - The Mara Effect live at Silverside Sound Infant Annihilator - Blasphemian Some songs/performances/videos, that no one is ever ready for or could ever forget.......
its really not though, its more about his personal desire to have more rock sound in his music, thats the whole point of the mockinbird and the crow, its not some grand statement about the music industry its a personal battle about wanting to write both radio hits about trucks and girls but also more out there rock songs, he has said this multiple times,
@@logical_volcel there are multiple phrases that take shot at the music industry and radio in general. All of the guidelines or it won’t be a hit and he will lose his record deal etc. The new video for mockingbird has people calling him and he cuts the cord on his phone. So, yeah there are multiple shots taken at the people that call the shots in the industry.
@@logical_volcel yeah I saw the interview too. I felt like he was walk-in g back out of his original intention. But I think we should take him at his word. You’re right. Good stuff!
He’s not disrespecting country as a genre. He’s poking fun at all the “bro-country” guys. There’s still real country stuff in the genre if you know where to look
@@VelocityRaptor32 i agree maybe i worded it wrong i was knee deep in whiskey, when i said disrespecting i didnt mean hes mocking it, hes just trying to alter your perceptions of it. like it doesnt have to be all the same
@@VelocityRaptor32 Nah, He wrote for FGL, pretty solididly pop coutnry with plenty of bro country elements. its not so much a huge commentary on pop country and more a commentary of himself and his multiple interests and desires. He has spoken about it multiple times in different interviews. Its not about the industry as much as it is about himself.
The entire Mockingbird and THE CROW album is a masterpiece! ABSOLUTELY love it!!!

Couldn’t agree more! Hardy is the best thing in music (all genres) that we have seen in a long, long time!
Never thought I'd hear a breakdown in a country song
It’s hilarious, stupid, dumb and fun as hell.

You can add In Purgatory from Entheos to that list. Beyond brutal.
But this whole Hardy album is killer.

It’s making fun of the pop country song writing and how easy it is for Hardy to make.

@@logical_volcel Disagree respectfully. Original comment that you replied to is correct.
