British airways is my favourite airline, I recently commented about my trip to Budapest in club Europe and was very complimentary about ba. I now have more to add. Our flight back to Budapest was cancelled due to a technical issue. We were then given a food voucher each to spend and told to collect our luggage. We queued for ages waiting to get a rebooked flight, we even phoned ba in London and they were so unhelpful. This was a bad start but I did take a turn for the better. We got a really nice hotel for the night, a free 3 course meal each, taxi transfer and then a really quiet flight the following day with about 15 people on the a320. We then got offered a large sum of money through email as compensation and then further compensation in air miles as we were part of ba "mile high club". So from something negative to something very positive. Thank you ba! (The flight number was BA867)
Can you do a Q&A after one year and tell us what you miss about Cabin Crew life. Also, from this video, it seems you quit because obviously being gone long periods of time and it being unpredictable is not conducive for a balanced relationship? Because you mentioned your significant other as being one of the criteria for having made that decision. Is this occupation good for someone that is single and wants to remain single for a long period of time? Besides, a future in accounting, would your decision be different if you were single? Also, years from now, would you ever return to Cabin Crew life? You also mentioned, it started to get less fun, what was the singular thing that was "less fun" would you say lack of sleep, or missing your significant other? Thank you for your dedication on making videos on Cabin Crew life, it's exciting and we can see why so many people have watched, not sure how many enthusiastic viewers wanting videos about accounting life, probably a different audience altogether. Good luck to you on your future endeavors
This was the best cabin crew Q&A I have ever seen, it's a shame you left BA really, but you need to live your life. Although Lufthansa and BA are similar Airlines, they still are very different, at Lufthansa seniority does play a big role and no one could ever imagine that the flight crew would rest in a different hotel, but still they are similar. I wish you all the best for your future ;-)
When I worked for BEA/BA from the 70's till the early 2000's we used to have open days where staff from different parts of the airline would meet up to discuss things, it was always the case that the Cabin crew did not like mixing with the rest of us, the Flight crew however were always cheerful & friendly - just an observation..
Sitting down with the bid packages that were given for so many years and seeing what flights, cities and hotels you like has always been crazy.. When I started to hold my lines each month, I was happy with the cities I had a interest in. Our life flying is a true experience...
Hey I have a question.. One day you don't get up to the alarm and you miss your work.. So how will your company deal with this.? Of course you haven't taken a taken a sick leave yet so what would happen? And also tell what about this happening when you aren't home..
If you still turned up to the airport you'd get put on standby, but if not then you would get a no show and your manager would have a word with you. It might effect you getting a promotion and if you kept doing it you could be fired
all your procedures sound pretty similiar to ours ( Emirates). Where are the US carriers have totally different regulations and procedures when it comes to standbys or even being allowed to eat food provided onboard. Love watching videos like this from other airlines. Best of luck on the new adventure :)
I watch a couple of Emirates crew vlogs and they get spending money on their stop overs from Emirates. Also good luck in your new career and look forward to seeing your vlogs in the future. Cheers mate.
Emirates would get a lump sum for a trip, we get paid around £3 an hour from 1hr30mins before check in to 45mins after pulling onto stand back into London, the longer the trip the more you get paid.
If you don't mind me asking, I find a lot of flight attendants will simply say in their videos that they work for 'a major airline' but you're always so open about working at BA specifically (which is great). I was wondering if BA are just more open to this sort of thing than other airlines who would prefer you not mention them specifically or record on planes etc or whether it's other cabin crew members being cautious and making their own choice in not specifying who they fly for?
I think it's other people being cautious, as long as you're not saying anything bad about the airline or filming at inappropriate times I can't see what's wrong. BA actually reached out to me and said they like my videos!

Well, you saw the world and that was very good. It was nice to hear about who makes the PA announcements because yes, as a Purser/Chief Flight Attendant I found myself always making always done the PA announcements. But for the flights that I had I would assign someone to do the PA announcements I had always loved our 777-200 and 300's after the 747-400's. I have always loved our San Paulo, Brazil layover hotel and location in their downtown area. I was bidding and I would always pick at least 25 to 35 selections of cities. I tend to hold the west coast long haul flying. So, Chicago-SFO, LA. San Diego ( which I really love San Diego). I do love flying to London and Paris from here and I have loved Dusseldorf, Germany. For me my long haul trip has been Hong Kong. Well good luck to you and the new job....
Thanks. Sometimes if you are typing a mile a second because your mind is trying to relate to the subject you have a bump in the road every now and then....
Very much enjoyed your videos! I am crew for Easyjet and personally can't imagine myself being anywhere else but in the skies... it's very satisfying knowing what we want to do in life .. wish you all the best in your new job!
Could u pls tell that it is mandatory to know swimming for British Airways cabin crew. Or u r gud to go if can do the ditching drill by a floatation device??
Hey, I was wondering if you could choose which place you fly from for example, if you lived closer to Manchester, can you fly from there and make it you "base"? If you could, could you answer it as a reply not on video, Thanks !
Good luck with the accounting, I'm 5 years into a big 4 firm. Happy to answer any questions you have if that's what your going into. Your travel videos have been really interesting!
Yes, our hotels in many cities here in the US and on the international travel, we had at least two to three other hotels besides the main hotel in that particular city. My first class galley F/A was responsible for the cockpit and I had to talk to the Captain and First Officer because I was a Purser/Chief Flight Attendant. You are right many Captains and First Officers know where they want to hang out in many cities and they always ask if anyone of the cabin team would like to hang out with them. I have always like going out with cool Captain and First Officers. Again, I am glad you have seen the world like I have...Years ago , when I was in college, I always said that I would love to see the world from the history classes that I had. I am glad I have flown for so many years. For me it has always been nice to always pay for food in our hotels because I would always maintained my hotel membership points. My Starwood Preferred Guest membership is one of the best hotel memberships that I love. I use my hotel points on my own vacations and get my upgrades to better rooms. Like you I have loved the many years that I have flown. Well, you take care and good luck with the new job..
As I sit here on a Sunday night 10pm working through a client's August accounting data and listening to your vlog, I can't help but grin at the irony of life. LOL
Thank you for your vlog, that is my passion to be a cabin crew. I felt about 20 airlines interview. However I never give up. Your video is so impressive in my eye. Miss you guy. I hope to see you on my board.
good video. I remember my wife and i traveled to Las Vegas. We were told that the 747 we were meant to travel on had a fault, another 747 was brought to the stand and there was a fault in that also. British airways were very sorry and put us up in a hotel near heathrow,a lot of people were not to happy. But i kept on thinking that saftey was the order of the day. We flew out the next morning,i have to say because i am disabled the cabin crew were amazing, they looked after us very well. We are going back next year. D.
I am a first time viewer from Texas and I was quite interested to hear that you are leaving the commercial airline industry as it is usually a career for anyone who joins that industry. I do not have a degree but I have worked in accounting in a management position for almost 30 years in the financial services industry and in the health care finance system here in the US. I have also been in business for myself and have been audited by the IRS but passed the audit with flying colors. I think the best part of my work is the variation as I mostly work on resolving challenges and issues. Wish you the best of luck in the accounting industry, you will probably do very well and you will probably enjoy it.
Hi Bradley (or do you prefer Brad?), many thanks for your recent series of videos. I stumbled upon them recently and only subscribed a month ago. Though I'm saddened to hear that you'll no longer be doing cabin crew Q&As, I'm happy for you that you've found a steady job from which you can return home to your lovely wife every night! One more question about being cabin crew, though - what happens if a cabin crew member (or even a flight crew member) get sick on the flight? Assuming it is not so serious that it warrants a diversion to the nearest medical facility, how is it managed on board?
Thanks for the Q and A.I used to work with Delta so I can relate.Im excited for your new career and I know you will do excellent, see you in future videos.
I have a question which i'm DYING to know. I hope you can answer it for me... I'm basically wondering how okay is BA with you being a RUclipsr while also working for them? Because in a sense you're representing their brand... but you're also just being yourself on youtube.. So, do they have any instructions on that? Or are you even allowed to be a RUclipsr while working for them? I heard they're very strict.
I think it depends on the content you are putting out. Just before I left someone from BA got in contact with me, they were really impressed with my videos and wanted me to do some stuff with the media team. But at that point it was too late as I had already handed in my notice. As long as you're not saying bad things about the company/customers and you remain professional they're alright with it.
Really enjoyed your honesty. I was with MF from almost the beginning for 6 years until I retired altogether. Interesting take in your reasons for leaving. Back in the day with WW, EF and SFG, Cabin crew was considered very much a career, but not any more now. It’s such a shame now that many people view cabin crew as a stop gap, something to do before they get the job they really wanted to do. A big factor imo is pay. As you alluded to, BA brought about mixed fleet as a cost cutting exercise, as the company decided that WW and EF were costing too much money. When MF first started the pay was dire and the rosters punishing. But the company soon recognised that cabin crew vacancies were oversubscribed, and even if crew turnover was high, there was a ready supply of new entrants. I recall attending a presentation by a senior BA executive in 2012, a frank van de post, (he introduced the competency tests at recurrent, and left BA not long after). He stated that the company did not expect any cabin crew in MF to stay more than 2 years in post. So the company did not want any career main crew either. This caused massive problems when for example, one of flights was delayed because we didn’t have enough experienced crew onboard and so was illegal to depart. I recall, as the only PST main crew, being given a full FIRST cabin to CPT with 2 NE’s Fortunately as the years went by, MFU evolved and with the protracted strikes, pay improved, but not the rosters, with the company refusing to consider a scheduling agreement. I’m surprised by your comments regarding bidding. I was one of the first crew on the SIN/SYD route after it was transferred from WW. Subsequently as it suited my very long commute, so it became my one and only bid each month so that’s what I got each month. I completed over 30 before I retired. Many crew longed for this route until they actually did it. Obviously I am not aware of your bids but in my experience when crew did receive poor bid satisfaction it was because they would often put in 10 or more lines of bids including avoids and specific dates for destinations. Carmen could often not process such complex bids and so rejected them all. Maybe things have changed? Looking back I enjoyed my time at BA but witnessed many crew leave for all the wrong reasons, e.g. being broke, fatigue, relationship problems, long commutes. I once had a colleague in tears break up with her boyfriend via sms as we were waiting on the tarmac at HAM on a turnaround because he didn’t understand why she was always so tired when she got home. And then when she got home, she quit. I hope any prospective applicants think long and hard and does their research before they apply because the reality can be a shock. 0-6 months very excited and enthusiastic 6-12 months finding it hard to live on the pay and getting tired 12-18 months broke and tired 18+ looking for another job Those of you who think I’m just being cynical....this is based on my experiences at MF for over 6 years before I retired. I don’t regret joining but am now enjoying my retirement more. If it’s for you, good luck. With the current pandemic, the airline industry may change forever.......
Would you ever make a video explaining hand and hold luggage and what you are allowed to take through hand luggage? I’m flying to Egypt in June and I’ve only been abroad to Tenerife last year and got things taken of us from Birmingham airport, things like biscuits were taken from my mums hand luggage. Just an idea :)
Hi, I've got a question: The most dreadful nightmare for Chinese passengers and cabin crews is flight delay. At times, the delay can even last for more than 5 hours during the summer in China. So does British Airways launch regulations for passengers suffering delay? And what will cabin crew do, apart from consoling passengers by free orange juice in China, to keep cabin ordered?
Hi, I know it's been a couple of years since you had your Assessment Day and all that, but do you remember the timeline that everything happened once you got your CJO? I just assessed and got the CJO a couple of days later, but they haven't sent anything about a start date. I have a weird situation where they told me outside of the typical "Congratulations" Email.
Not sure what CJO stands for. After you get your start date you have to get all your references done which is a long and tedious process and could be 2 weeks could be 12 months, everyone is different.
You are so much professional in your demeanor. Most vlogs on youtube by flight attendants are way over the top and not professional......way too many bimbos working way up in the sky!! The quality of cabin crew now working in airlines has gone down considerably. I have wondered why that is so? May be you have an answer to that?
I know this video is from a year ago, but I thought that just as me, others might find it only now. so I might just offer a correction there to what you say about who can apply for cabin crew. No, it is not open to everyone as long as they have the UK visa to work, they DO HAVE to have a unrestricted passport (e.g. UK, European and probably US passports), otherwise no, you will not be considered for cabin crew position. I used to be cabin crew in my country and I have looked into it here in the UK, and I know I can only apply for cabin crew only when I get my british passport, even though I am a permanent resident in the UK UK for about 4 years now... not thinking about it anymore, just thought I'd contribute. ;)
I have a some questions: What is your favourite aircraft? What is your favourite destination? Why did you wanted to become BA cabin crew in the first place?
How many people from Spain do you know working for a British airlines? I have a B2 level and I want to know if this level is enough to work with a British airline.
thank you so much for the 411. looking into the FA career and you've made this process a lot more enjoyable. love your vids. all the best in you new career. can I ask you something please, is it possible to work as a FA and finish college, perhaps online college or is that not a good idea? thank you
Honestly everyone has the right to do what they want with their lives and what makes them happy. But I still don't get how you left that opportunity go out the way. My biggest dream is to become a Flight Attendant one day, I wish that with all my heart and I know the day I get that chance will never let it go. Is sad to see how other people let go what you want and wish the most.
Lol ik this is weird but I want to Be either Jet2 or BA Cabin crew and on a vid they said if you had a gap between your frount two teeth you cannot work? I’m only 10 so they will go together. But is this true.
I have a small tattoo on my forearm will that stop me being cabin crew or will they provide me with a long sleeve? I see a lot of long sleeved uniforms? HELP Assessment Day coming up?
Very interesting! I am really dumbfounded by the computer tech melt down in May 17. This evidently was traceable to tech personelle failure. How could luggage be checked in and no ability to reclaim luggage for cancelled flights. Were passengers prevented from using other airlines though available space may have been limited? The UK isn't exactly a third world country.
You can buy a standby ticket pretty cheap and hope the crew on the plane upgrade you for free, or you can buy a premium standby ticket which gets you into business if there's room.
Quick question, in the course of the video, you mentioned that you always need a US visa for US destinations, why is that? I am aware that if you have a British passport it is visa free to the US
Hey mate! I love your vlogs, I am the Cabin Crew from Iberia who asked you couple of things weeks ago, soon I am about to go to the BA Headquarters to be interviewed and see if I fit into the BA Cabin Crew Team after 1 year flying with Iberia I really wanna experience long-haul flights as we have separated fleet. Wish me luck! haha (btw, is it easy to find an apartment nearby Heathrow?)
ah. so thats why i saw so many BA cabin crew when in my hotel in New York. Although it looked like due to the large amounts of flights there, they all go to different hotels along lexington ave (based on flight number)
Happy New Year!!! Thanks for all your videos. I do have a couple of questions that I'd really appreciate if you have the time to respond. Thank you! How long is training, paid/unpaid? How many days off per month? Travel benefits with BA? Starting off, is the pay okay for a single person to live off of? I've worked as cabin crew in the US and there seniority means everything, doesn't seem like it with BA. Thank you so very much! Wish you all the best and a fantastic year 2018
Loool she said just join as crew!?! Like it was that easy. BA never once gave me a look in for any position i applied for and i was coming from 4 years experience as a senior ground agent handling over 18 airlines at Gatwick landside and airside. This was before mixed fleet became their niche contract and damn those salary is poor. Left the airport all together in 2008 and earning almost 4 times as much now was i did back in the days i was LGW based.
Hi there love your videos. very professional. I have a question. If I live in south african and don't have uk residency. can i still apply or do I still stand a chance to become a cabin crew in BA?? Thanks
I've really enjoyed your videos, refreshing and honest, I've worked as Cabin Crew for BA for nearly 30 years and the opportunities and memories will last long into my retirement, for all those that aspire to become Crew, don't give up, it's a wonderful job although you have to realise that it's no longer a career for life , the role will stand you in good stead for other careers. Good luck with your new career I'm sure many of us will miss you at British Airways
I feel like the biggest struggle will be barely having free time since it’s full time. I heard long hours is a big con with many. Lol what if I wanted one day off
What do you do if they cancel your flight, and you have 4 hours at the airport. Try to find the other pilot who's hat you are wearing, Update your manuals. Correct the Spelling of your name on your luggage tags, Call your bookie, Find some kid in the waiting area and impress him/her about your heroics onboard the airplane, make time to unstitch the Hotel emblem on the towel you stole. ask them to page some guy name Donald Trump, correct the address on your luggage tags, Fold your boxers, call your EX wives, segregate the bills in your wallet by country, put all your toothpaste back in the tube, try to match your socks and throw away the third leg, recharge your shaver that you left on since yesterday [ what was that buzzing noise ? ].
Could I ask how can u live on so little money with so bad wages or can u make it up on sales ? Id love to do it but I dont know weather the wages I have read them wrong is it only 12'000 a year thats less than 150 a week
Jim Goose the £12000-£13000 (approx) is only the basic salary, you get paid hourly on top of that as well the whole time you're on duty and away from base :) and then incentive bonuses etc
I like your videos and you have a very good talking voice, I'm going to miss your cabin crew videos. I'm subscribing to your channel and look forward to seeing your new adventures 🙂
Can a cabin manager ever work as normal crew? What is your favourite short haul plane? Is a cabin manager the same position as in short haul and long haul or do you have to apply to become long haul cabin manager? Have you ever worked as the 'lead' on long haul? And ave you ever worked the lead in short haul? Would you be allowed? Because if you apply for cabin manager do you only get to work that position? Thank you. Another tsunami of questions 😅😅😂 great video
Yeah they can work as normal crew. Favourite plane is A319 as there is less passengers haha! Short and long haul same thing. I would never be the lead as I'm not trained to take an aircraft out. I have been the second in command which means I could take over if the manager got sick down route.
the mayburys thank you so much again So it's probably worth it to apply for cabin manager as you can still work as normal crew AND lead. Awesome thanks
You can't choose to work as normal crew, 99% of the time you will be the manager on the flight but for operational needs you could work down as normal crew. Also you need flying and managerial experience to apply to be a senior so most people have to be main crew and work their way up.
video starts at 13:24! thank me later!
Thanks! saved me a whole load of time!
Thank youuuuuuuuu

Do you prefer working with 10 and 11 crew members on the bigger aircrafts or working with 3 and 4 crew on the smaller aircrafts?
There's 22 on the 380, I prefer long haul it's more fun

My Starwood Preferred Guest membership is one of the best hotel memberships that I love. I use my hotel points on my own vacations and get my upgrades to better rooms. Like you I have loved the many years that I have flown. Well, you take care and good luck with the new job..
I hv been called for my assessment next week ... i am nervous but equally excited.... wish me luck ...
Chandni Hussain how was your assessment,? Hope you got the golden call. I'm waiting for my application with Qatar airways
@@wanjiruchelagat6565 hey ... No i cudnt make it ... 😢 but had an awesome experience ... all the best to U ... lots of love and hugs ...
@@Lovechild2423 thank you so much!!! Which airline was it?
@@wanjiruchelagat6565 British airways
@@Lovechild2423 ohh ok....look into the middle East airlines. They are recruiting massively
Thanks for the Q and A.I used to work with Delta so I can relate.Im excited for your new career and I know you will do excellent, see you in future videos.
thanks for all your videos mate. I think you and all BA cabin crew deserve a lot better than the low Salary you stated on your other video
Did you do any Sydney flights and what's your view on BA's buy on board service on domestic and European flights, selling M&S food products?
I recall, as the only PST main crew, being given a full FIRST cabin to CPT with 2 NE’s
Fortunately as the years went by, MFU evolved and with the protracted strikes, pay improved, but not the rosters, with the company refusing to consider a scheduling agreement.
0-6 months very excited and enthusiastic
6-12 months finding it hard to live on the pay and getting tired
12-18 months broke and tired
18+ looking for another job
Those of you who think I’m just being cynical....this is based on my experiences at MF for over 6 years before I retired.
I don’t regret joining but am now enjoying my retirement more.
If it’s for you, good luck. With the current pandemic, the airline industry may change forever.......
Wish you the best of luck! Will you go back to BA or other airlines in the future? Probably a different position?
Hey, I have psoriasis and I’m wondering if it’s a problem for BA. It’s not bad but it’s visible on my nails
After you get your start date you have to get all your references done which is a long and tedious process and could be 2 weeks could be 12 months, everyone is different.
the mayburys thank you!
question; when the BA check in was down and all the flights from Heathrow were cancelled, what did you do?
On that day I flew an empty aircraft to Manchester
You are so much professional in your demeanor. Most vlogs on youtube by flight attendants are way over the top and not professional......way too many bimbos working way up in the sky!! The quality of cabin crew now working in airlines has gone down considerably. I have wondered why that is so? May be you have an answer to that?
Thanks for the compliment :)
Cabin crew only stay 1-2 years and the company is very happy with that. That says it all.
I used to be cabin crew in my country and I have looked into it here in the UK, and I know I can only apply for cabin crew only when I get my british passport, even though I am a permanent resident in the UK UK for about 4 years now... not thinking about it anymore, just thought I'd contribute. ;)
Thanks Rafaela!
I have a some questions: What is your favourite aircraft? What is your favourite destination? Why did you wanted to become BA cabin crew in the first place?
How easy is it to reapply/join once you leave?
How many people from Spain do you know working for a British airlines? I have a B2 level and I want to know if this level is enough to work with a British airline.
I have a question
What do you think about Qantas?
I watched the programme on them recently and they seem like a good airline, I'm a fan of anyone who operates an A380
I am really interested to see if you want to come back to flying now and if you like the job you got!?
Would love to go back one day but for now the job I’m in suits me
thank you so much for the 411. looking into the FA career and you've made this process a lot more enjoyable. love your vids. all the best in you new career.
can I ask you something please, is it possible to work as a FA and finish college, perhaps online college or is that not a good idea? thank you
Honestly everyone has the right to do what they want with their lives and what makes them happy. But I still don't get how you left that opportunity go out the way. My biggest dream is to become a Flight Attendant one day, I wish that with all my heart and I know the day I get that chance will never let it go. Is sad to see how other people let go what you want and wish the most.
Different people have different priorities, good luck to you!
Same here! We will get it soon
Thousands of people say the same as you do. The difference is they have explained it and you have not.
Lol ik this is weird but I want to Be either Jet2 or BA Cabin crew and on a vid they said if you had a gap between your frount two teeth you cannot work? I’m only 10 so they will go together. But is this true.
haha i'm sure they can't stop you for that, long way to go though
I have a small tattoo on my forearm will that stop me being cabin crew or will they provide me with a long sleeve? I see a lot of long sleeved uniforms? HELP Assessment Day coming up?
Yeah they give you long sleeve shirts
Very interesting! I am really dumbfounded by the computer tech melt down in May 17. This evidently was traceable to tech personelle failure. How could luggage be checked in and no ability to reclaim luggage for cancelled flights. Were passengers prevented from using other airlines though available space may have been limited? The UK isn't exactly a third world country.
Your garden is beautiful!!! I would not leave the house!! LOL.
if you work for BA or just any airline do you get a discount on like business or first or do you just get it free???
You can buy a standby ticket pretty cheap and hope the crew on the plane upgrade you for free, or you can buy a premium standby ticket which gets you into business if there's room.
Hi, i do have a request. Would be possible to do a video about on-board announcement and how do they sound. Many thanks
Great video. All the best in your new career
Do you ever go to the sweet shop in the Arcade in Bedford?
Peaches what is Bradley and Mieka’s Maybury mode of communication?
Quick question, in the course of the video, you mentioned that you always need a US visa for US destinations, why is that? I am aware that if you have a British passport it is visa free to the US
visa free is tourism only not for work
Ciaran 100 ....hmm I didn't know that....thanks for the info.
Good luck! You'll be fine
how is it going now
@@elaminmochichi7767 hey! I decided to stay in Iberia, I've been already 5 years flying with them and currently flying long-haul :)
Accounting is a great job. A friend left for 30 years and was able to get back into it. Tax accounting.
boring
ah. so thats why i saw so many BA cabin crew when in my hotel in New York. Although it looked like due to the large amounts of flights there, they all go to different hotels along lexington ave (based on flight number)
yep, no hotel could hold all the crew with how many times a day they fly to NY
Happy New Year!!! Thanks for all your videos. I do have a couple of questions that I'd really appreciate if you have the time to respond. Thank you!
How long is training, paid/unpaid?
How many days off per month?
Travel benefits with BA?
Starting off, is the pay okay for a single person to live off of?
I've worked as cabin crew in the US and there seniority means everything, doesn't seem like it with BA.
Thank you so very much! Wish you all the best and a fantastic year 2018
Do snapshot warnings apply throughout the time you work for BA?
no
One question. How much did you hate Wheatley?
Haha I lived at Wheatley for my first year, we have a love hate relationship
Loool she said just join as crew!?! Like it was that easy. BA never once gave me a look in for any position i applied for and i was coming from 4 years experience as a senior ground agent handling over 18 airlines at Gatwick landside and airside. This was before mixed fleet became their niche contract and damn those salary is poor. Left the airport all together in 2008 and earning almost 4 times as much now was i did back in the days i was LGW based.
Hi,
Had you any experience with poles while your career? was it good or not? I mean, had you any special colleagues or passengers which you remember?
By poles you mean Polish people?
...um, yes. :)
was it easy to get your job as a cabin crew member?
Yeah the hotel in Houston is downtown and unless you work in an office, there is nothing to do :p
I'm not sure if I should be a BA cabin crew or a BA pilot what do you think?
John Michael Angeles to become a pilot you have to pay £120,000 for the piloting school I'm pretty sure X
John Michael Angeles if you have the £120k+ be a pilot!!
You need to know, it's never a good thing to turn up a cabin crew interview saying you want to be a pilot
@@stephencd1 Thats a good laff
Hi there
love your videos. very professional.
I have a question.
If I live in south african and don't have uk residency. can i still apply or do I still stand a chance to become a cabin crew in BA??
Thanks
You would need to move to the UK and be able to work in the UK. You can work for BA in SA though for Comair.
thanks
I'm too short to be apart of a cabin crew but that is my dream job 😪 gonna miss these vlogs
congrats on having a game plan post college to get out and be able to explore before settling down.
Do you give any information about pay? Like annual salary?
THIS VIDEO IS BLOWING UP
How does British Airways identify a specific member of cabin crew?
I love you Bradley you guys are amazing
I'm currently studying level 3 travel and tourism in college and hoping to go into cabin crew, this was a lot of help thank you
How are you getting along with this journey
I've really enjoyed your videos, refreshing and honest, I've worked as Cabin Crew for BA for nearly 30 years and the opportunities and memories will last long into my retirement, for all those that aspire to become Crew, don't give up, it's a wonderful job although you have to realise that it's no longer a career for life , the role will stand you in good stead for other careers. Good luck with your new career I'm sure many of us will miss you at British Airways
Thank you David!
I feel like the biggest struggle will be barely having free time since it’s full time. I heard long hours is a big con with many. Lol what if I wanted one day off
There’s lots of time off, 2 or 3 days after a long haul
do i need a uk visa even if i am from the european union?
Not so far. After brexit, who knows? Probably you will.
Could I ask how can u live on so little money with so bad wages or can u make it up on sales ? Id love to do it but I dont know weather the wages I have read them wrong is it only 12'000 a year thats less than 150 a week
Jim Goose the £12000-£13000 (approx) is only the basic salary, you get paid hourly on top of that as well the whole time you're on duty and away from base :) and then incentive bonuses etc
plus lives with parents
In the future, i want to be a flight attendant for british airways. Is it worth it? Should i do it?

Does B.A provide free accommodation for foreigns working as cabin crew?
Monish Jogi definitely not
Sorry, newbie here 🙂 What's the difference between flight and cabin crew?
Flight crew is pilots, cabin crew works directly with passengers
You definitely sound like an intellectual chap! All the best in you new career!
While you are in training where do you live if you don’t live in London ?
Wherever you want. Some people move to London, hotels, or just commute from where you live
I like your videos and you have a very good talking voice, I'm going to miss your cabin crew videos. I'm subscribing to your channel and look forward to seeing your new adventures 🙂
That phone call "You got the job" 😭 😭 😭 wow Bradley I really enjoy your blog, so sad Accounting is stealing you from the skies
is there a Job for a doctor in the airline Business ? like an on board doctor ? or a occupational doctor for the staff?
Not on planes but at head office yes
Also you need flying and managerial experience to apply to be a senior so most people have to be main crew and work their way up.
the mayburys Ok, thanks. Have a good time :)
when does the video begin?
Do u carry company cellphone while u off
No they don’t give you a phone
Was accountancy a difficult degree and what a levels did you do?
Yeah quite tough, i did accounting, business and economics
the mayburys what are business and economics like. I'm doing these subjects come September
I loved business but wasn’t a fan of economics, that’s just me though
the mayburys fair enough
Could you talk about cabin crew benefits? Please
How would the first class flight attendant take a break? Since they've to cater the first class passenger most of the time..
asuth there's 2/3 crew members working in First Class
You're going to hate working in an office every day... you'll be back
