Hey @Hazline - After watching your entire video on this, what struck me most was your thought process in deciding to leave your dream job. I love the reason you mentioned that the job requires you to be physically there so a change and pivot to something that doesn't require your presence and you can still perform your role. With the technology advancement, I would say you make the right choice. Wish you all the success in your new endeavours. Cheers !
I flew from the UK to Australia and return with you guys earlier this year. I was in economy and saw such wonderful hard working staff and had great service . Thank you for sharing your experience and good luck with all that you do in the future😘
You have just outgrown your stewardess job. Good on you! Close this chapter of your life and flip over to a fresh new chapter which you will write yourself! Fighting!!!💪
The fact that you quit SINGAPORE AIRLINES at such a young age and for the right reasons confirms SAL made the right decision to hire such a smart girl.
I was a MI cabin crew before for 2 years, and agreed with u that should not afraid of changes, not afraid of stepping out of comfort zone. Wish u a best of luck in your new life in Korea😊
Hazeline, your vlogs are always great fun because of your love of life and enthusiasm. You make even the mundane interesting and watchable. Best of luck in your new adventure.
I just came to your blog yesterday, thanks for sharing a life as a cabin crew and as a student, must be tough but really admire your spirit. Good luck with your new journey and thanks for a reminder do not be afraid of stepping out from comfort zone and follow your guts ❤️
I'm kinda sure I was on your flight before, but hey, great job stepping out of your comfort zone and trying to achieve more! Personal growth is so important and you have made a sound decision at a young age. You'll definitely get far! All the best.
Enjoyed your videos, Hazeline, especially your journey with SQ. All the best for your future endeavors in Korea. Maybe you and Jeannete Ong can be besties 😊
I spent 13 years after NS as an SQ cabin crew and I quit mid flight while night stopping in Maldives...long story short, as a simple kampung boy, who just needed a job after NS, the airline gave me the opportunity to travel to places I never imagined and after the 5th year I realised that my career prospects(given the work place culture and system)was limiting.Finished school and as soon as I obtained my degree decided not to wait any longer. Wishing you all the best and be assured that there is life after the airline, especially so when one is well prepared(like yourself)...more good things will come your way !!! Jiayou...
SQ is just a large local (Singapore) SME masquerading as an MNC. If you look at major MNC's working culture and care for their employees, SQ is terrible. As mentioned, the starting pay for FAs are great with regards to the allowances, however your career prospects are pretty limited. In fact to be promoted from a blue to a green previously, you have to serve 10years. Which company does that? And don't even get me started on SIA Engineering. Overall, SQ is great on the surface, with the marketing bollocks, underneath it, it is a terrible company with horrible work culture.
Hi Hazeline, i really enjoyed your life vlog as a cabin crew, but i understand there will be a point to quit. Looking forward for your new journey of life !
I quit a well paying job and went to university when I had 2 children. No regrets and 23 years later I’m still in my profession, earning more money in a skill shortage area.
All the best for your new chapter❤
I love the korean subtitles dkdkdk it's translated decently and also quite funny thnx for sharing your experience good luck with your lovely future in korea!
Thank you for sharing your life update. I came across your channel when one of your crew vlogs was on my 'Recommended' list. I am also working in the service industry, particularly in the hotel sector as a Front Desk Agent. Like you said in the video, I also do have best and worst experience while working as a receptionist. Next month, I will be moving to another hotel in a department that I have never done before which can be daunting but exciting. Of course, I will take your word of advice when I move workplace. I would like to wish you all the best for what lies ahead.
Hi Hazeline , glad to know u are doing fine now and u look so cheerful & full of confidence in yr future in whatever u are going to do. Keep the spirit up, c u in Korea yeah 🎉😅
Well done Hazeline-san! Quitting your dream job,is NO easy decision and you still did it,on your own! Bravo! Yes, stepping out of your comfort zone and be daring, smart, alert to new challenges,is a very logical step in your life. Wish you the best of everything and happy new living in South Korea! David Chan Kampar Perak.
New subscriber to your channel Hazeline. You are making mature decisions regarding your future direction in life. Obviously, the responsibilities gained from your job as cabin crew have enabled you to grow quickly and make future decisions based on your level of confidence in who you are. Good luck with the next phase of your life in Korea.
I have to say Thank you and Good Luck with your move to Korea Hazeline, I wish you every sucess and happiness in the future, take care now and keep safe and well, love from Tony in The UK. 🤗🫂
I was really curious why you quit and you've answered my curiosity. 😅 I think it's really brave of you to leave security behind to broaden your horizons. *fighting!* 💪💪 I also lived for 2 yrs in Korea. Spring and autumn are my fave seasons there. Winter, not so much. 😂
Honey dear,. They say " experience" is the best teacher, just some bosses think they OWN you or your life like landlords and some Long Time home owners think they OWN the street because they been a resident there a long time... In EACH case people just have Different Attitude about life .. unfortunately, there's too many idiots and jerks or women too emotional... I see this ALL the time.. the BEST people to know are the ones that can REASON with themselves or others with good understanding that have " mutual" good attitude!! .........♾️🕊️🕊️🕊️♾️
Always a risk Hazeline & it took me a while to decide as well but although i miss the travel & flying i am in a better place now than in 2018 when i left in June of that year. Good luck with Korea & look forward to your vloga.😊
Hello! It is so helpful to me! I prepare SIA interview in Seoul. so searching some idea and then I finally found you. So meaningful :) you are sosososo lovely! I’ll watch all of your videos!❤
Hi Hazeline I just watched your video (why I quit my Job) I was curious at first,a little saddened that we would not see your travel (by plane) videos but I have to say I am happy you're doing something that makes you happy I am sure all your future videos will be the same as the past ones, funny and interesting 🙂 I lived in Korea for 12 years, Its such a beautiful place and people,I will always miss Korea Good luck Hazeline on your next chapter, your friends (we)will be here supporting you and enjoying your ride ^^
I’m so very proud of you for your honesty and thoughtfulness when it came to answering those important questions. A new adventure awaits! And are you in touch with Jeanette as well, an ex crew living in and vlogging in Seoul? I’m sure you are familiar with her on YT! Can’t wait to see your Europe vlog and live and love life to the fullest! 😊
I just starting my new job after worked in Bank for 7 years. I am now working at the power plant and learning new things daily. Starting from ground again is difficult but I am really enjoy in doing so.
New sub. I enjoy traveling, but it can be exhausting especially long flights and transit. Doing it everyday as a pilot or cabin crew is a whole other thing. The job looks glamorous but as some of your other vids you did have times where you lack sleep yet still reported for work, and also dealing with difficult passengers and times when things do not go according to plan.
I heard you, Hazeline. I am greatly impressed about your desire in personal growth, leaving your current comfort zone and to the unknown. You will succeed if you remain steadfast and determined in your dream. I wish you all the best.
Understandably as a 21-year old one would get stunned when attacked verbally like that. I was like that. You'll learn later on that when people give you sh*t you will have to give it back to them. Otherwise they will step all over you. Sounds shocking but your First Responder is alway yourself 😉 Great vlogs and good luck on your future. Greetings from Southern California.
Wow I'm enjoying your video sharing its is really AWASOME, anyway take care of yourself and please don't forget to share with us your in coming video whenever you're new chapter in Korea 🙏🙏❤❤❤

Hi, Hazeline, nice video and very informative. Related to your 'bad' experience, my feeling is that most travelers are self-absorbed, rude, disrespectful, entitled idiots who need to be smacked down if they can't behave properly in public. Very sad that Singapore Airlines will lose a beautiful and charming flight attendant!😢
And I will miss the chance to meet you on board!
Like you, I have just quit my job.I have worked for almost 22 years and finally I did it.
Congratulations, all the best to you!
What was very tough for me as a cabin crew was the jetlag, the lack of sleep...
That’s tough too😢
It's a good idea to quit and move on to experience other things. It's also my dream job (next life) but I wouldn't make it a lifelong career.😁
She is so sweet. Don't ya love her? 😉👍
Best wishes 🎉
Thank you!

감사합니다🥹
i think sia don't bother increasing the salary of their cabin crew just to make them quit automatically. then they'll always have the young ones.
Welcome to the human world...!!!🙄😬
Hi, Hazeline, nice video and very informative. Related to your 'bad' experience, my feeling is that most travelers are self-absorbed, rude, disrespectful, entitled idiots who need to be smacked down if they can't behave properly in public. I'm a guy, not a woman, but if I were a woman, I wouldn't touch that job with a ten foot pole.
But more power to you. I hope you can find other things that you enjoy and make you happy.
Beautiful eyes and a smile like an angel 😇 💗 💕
