1) Macadamia Nut Oil (emollient) 5.0% / 5.0g/ 0.18oz
2) Coconut Oil (emollient) 4.0% / 4.0g / 0.14oz
3) Sheabutter Cert. Organic (emollient) 4.0% / 4.0g / 0.14oz
4) Cocoa Butter Cert. Organic (emollient) 1.5% / 1.5g / 0.05oz
5) Cetearyl Alcohol (emollient) 2.5% / 2.5g / 0.09oz
6) Sorbitan Stearate (w/o emulsifier) 1.5% / 1.5g / 0.05oz
7) Polysorbate 60 (o/w emulsifier) 2.5% / 2.5g / 0.09oz
8) Stearic Acid (o/w emulsifier) 2.0% / 2.0g / 0.07oz
9) Stearyl Palmitate (emollient) 3.0% / 3.0g / 0.11oz
10) Vitamin E Tocopherol (anti-oxidant) 0.3% / 0.3g / 0.011oz
Phase B
11) Distilled Water (diluent) 66.9% / 66.9g / 2.4oz
12) Sodium Gluconate (chelating agent) 0.2% / 0.2g / 0.007oz
13) Propanediol 1,3 (humectant) 2.0% / 2.0g / 2.0oz
14) Sorbitol (humectant) 0.2% / 0.2g / 0.007oz
15) Carbomer (thickener) 0.5% / 0.5g / 0.02oz
16) Triethanolamine (TEA) (alkaline) 0.1% / 0.1g / 0.004oz
Phase C
17) Silicone Gel (Cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicone crosspolymer) (emollient) 2.5% / 2.5g / 0.09oz
18) Phenoxyethanol/SA (preservative) 1.0% / 1.0g / 0.04oz
19) Fragrance (fragrance) (optional) 0.3% / 0.3g / 0.011oz
Total 100%
Method:
Step 1. Add phase A ingredients into a glass beaker and heat to 70C/160F.
Step 2. Add phase B to another glass beaker and start with 11-14), then when dissolved sprinkle 15) into the mix and blend well, using a sheer mixer, homogenizer or stick blender.
Step 3. Measure the pH and add 16) increasing pH to 5.5-6. Mix well until smooth, the viscosity will increase.
Step 4. Heat phase B to the same temperature as phase A.
Step 5. Add phase B to phase A under agitation and remove vessel from the heat source. Mix well using above mentioned mixing equipment. Cool to 100F/40C.
Step 6. Add phase C to phase A/B, mix well between ingredients. Check the pH again and adjust if necessary to pH to ~5.5. Blend well. The viscosity may increase a bit further within 24h.
Additional Info: The video shows the pH adjustment in step 5. Here the pH is adjusted in step 3.

I've purchased from this company before, and they sell quality ingredients. Making your own stuff can be fun. But it's also expensive.
Personally... I like the older version better...
maybe because it took the time to SHOW more
and also it had the different ways to measure out
the formula...

I love your work!! Very facinating and informative. I have an odd request, but I'm sure you have other viewers that would love my idea. Do you think you could make a lotion comparable to the Johnson and Johnson creamy baby lotion with aloe and vitamin E. It is very hard to find online. And is an incredible insect repellent without the chemical smell. It greatly sought after. And you would be doing the world a huge favor. Especially us flood victims dealing with mass amounts of insects and mosquitos. Or possibly make your own that you think would work as well. I would be willing to be your tester!! Yes, you can heat vitamin E to 70oC but only for a short time. At it as the last ingredient of phase A.

The ingredient written on the packaging showed “Cetyl alcohol” but on your list you wrote Cetearyl Alcohol, what’s the difference? What’d you actually use ?
The recipe uses cetearyl alcohol as described above. However, cetyl alcohol which is very similar works too.

Hello In the event that I wanted to put (collagen powder or bleaching powder) on face beautification creams - at what stage can I add the powder? Is it when the cream is completely finished? Or boil it with distilled water? Or do I put it with melted wax or at any point exactly I want the powder to blend comfortably and perfectly with the cream mixture
In general, active ingredients such proteins, peptides, vitamins are often only added after the emulsification (at the end of the formulating process)
@@Makingcosmetics Yes, I did. I have made a facial beauty cream. In the last step, I put a whitening powder with collagen powder and put it in an electric mixer with the cream mixture. But when using it, I put the cream on my face. My creamy face was imbibed, but the powder did not absorb the skin. The powder was separated from the cream! The powder did not get in the pores, it continued to settle out of the skin. I don't know what the cause is! The powder was deposited on the surface of the skin and did not enter the facial pores

How do we know which phase should be added into the other? Sometimes I see people adding the water phase into the oil one and the opposite .
In most cases it doesn't matter which phase is added to which phase.
