John (Brad Pitt) and Jane Smith (Angelina Jolie), a couple in a stagnating marriage, live a deceptively mundane existence. However, each has been hiding a secret from the other: they are assassins working for adversarial agencies. When they are both assigned to kill the same target, Benjamin Danz (Adam Brody), the truth comes to the surface. Finally free from their cover stories, they discover that they have been assigned to kill each other, sparking a series of explosive attacks.
Mr. & Mrs. Smith is a 2005 American action comedy film directed by Doug Liman and written by Simon Kinberg. The film stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as a bored upper middle class married couple, who are surprised to learn that they are assassins, belonging to competing agencies and that they have been assigned to kill each other. Besides being a box office success, Mr. & Mrs. Smith also established Pitt and Jolie's personal relationship.
Mr. & Mrs. Smith was released in the United States on June 10, 2005 and received mixed reviews from critics. The film grossed $487.3 million worldwide, becoming the seventh highest-grossing film of 2005.

I hate how this lie keeps getting repeated. They were separated already. After JA Lied to Brad about wanting to get married & have children & then publicly stated AFTER they got married that she didn’t want children, they started arguing constantly & he pretty much checked out. Were they divorced? No, so TECHNICALLY, he cheated on JA with AJ but in reality, BP & JA weren’t even sleeping in the same house.

This movie is just nuts but entertaining at the same time. Iloved both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's performances and it’s interesting how after this movie they fell in love and got married in real life.
Not the only aspect of this movie that came to life.
Favourite Angelina movie: Salt
In the theatrical cut, the final 1/2 of the end shootout scene (when the Smiths are in their armor and not their dress shirts and jackets) actually has music in it. It plays that same "Pachinko" song that played on their first date when they were dancing and during the long sex scene after they were fighting.
I remember that as well, really fit well that it was their first and (maybe) last dance

She was great in Bone Collector. Saaalt was better than i expected or hoped for, 1000x a better female spy movie than Atomic Blond.

"Wanted" is one of my all time favorite action movies and Angeline Jolie is one of the main characters, definitely worth a watch if you can get around to it!

That final shootout after bursting from the shed does normally have music playing during it. It must be because of the unrated version that nothing was playing and it was odd. That vehicle with the minigun was also NOT in the normal version.
That wasn't the unrated part, that's the classic way that ends in the original release. That scene is like 95% of this movie's fame, fighting then fucking. That's what the girl from 22 Jump Street meant by getting Mr and Mrs. Smithed.

Recommended Angelina Jolie movie would be Girl, Interrupted. At the time when the movie came out, Winona Ryder (who had a main role) was more well known and Angelina still wasn't. Due to Ange's outstanding and intense performance, she deservedly earned winning an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. Not that there was any competition but after that, tables had turned a 180 and suddenly she got more famous than Winona. Sadly for Winona she didn't recover back her respected fame after her shoplifting incident. But I'm glad tables turned again for her in Stranger Things...
Anyway back to Angelina Jolie. So yeah go check out Girl, Interrupted.

You mentioned they should have been playing music at the end. I'm not sure why your version didn't but the version I saw they had the same song playing that they were dancing to the night they first met. It brought the whole story back around as they finally connected again they way the did when they fell in love.

Angelina Jolie is an incredible actress. You should check out The Bone Collector - with Denzel Washington and Queen Latifah. It made me want to become a crime scene investigator lol. You can't go wrong with any Angelina Jolie movie though, she's very talented. Wanted is great also. Taking Lives was good. Tomb Raider great. Girl interrupted excellent. Life or Something Like It is super under rated. Salt is fantastic.

So in that final scene where they are fighting the agents, the DVD version has the same song playing from the start of the movie. It’s a parallel to when they were dancing together and shows that they are still in love even after all those years and all those jobs.
Brad Pitt and Nicole Kidman were originally cast as the leads when Doug Liman received the script. However, Kidman's shooting schedule conflicted with Liman's at the time and she had to exit the film, and Pitt dropped out as a result. Liman then considered Will Smith and Catherine Zeta-Jones as the leads. Liman also considered the pairing of Johnny Depp and Cate Blanchett for the film Gwen Stefani also auditioned for Jane Smith The casting of the two leads was set once Liman was able to sign Angelina Jolie. Once Jolie was signed, Pitt re-committed to the film

OK that’s not in the original version. And that makes the movie a lot more clear. I found it very confusing on exactly what was going on and I don’t know why they cut out that line because it actually explained this was planned from the beginning. They should’ve kept that line in the movie.
Favorite action-comedy, with a bit of a relationship dynamic in it, is probably True Lies. I also LOVE the absolute 90's stereotype, Demolition Man. Can't remember if you've reacted to either of these, but you should, if you haven't. They're both HILARIOUS, and great.
