Before even watching I have to say that I have noticed how much work you put into your thumbnails. In my opinion they are the best ones of all the reactors I’ve seen or even some of the best of RUclips!!
Yeah, and other than that, if they do accuse her killing the family, she can just say that she did it out of self-defense plus there’s no way a human being can do that to a person if they accuse her of putting a bomb or something then the bomb would’ve destroyed the entire Room that the whole family was killed in the room wasn’t destroyed. It’s covered in blood because the Family exploded.
The old lady, Aunt Helene, was the last one who's husband had to play the deadly hide and seek game, the other ones just played a straight up regular ass game and then signed their souls away to join the family. I think that the only ones who pull the hide and seek card are the type of person who probably wouldn't sell their souls.
Yeah, are they were probably the ones like Grace that were good people or had pure hearts I feel sorry for Charles at the beginning. Imagine just wanting to get married and then you just end up getting murdered.😢😢😢😢
I agree. I think the aunt did grow bitter & resentful watching her relative's spouses live after hers was killed. That's why she's so eager & giddy to perform the ritual. She gets to inflict the trauma she faced on to someone else
I still think the old lady was the reason they started popping because no one had it happen until she tried to cheat the game and kill the girl after she won
Exactly this. This is one of my favorite newer horror movies and that was the feeling I got the first time I watched it. Up until that point the family had never failed to capture and sacrifice the person they needed to. the only family members who died were the ones who refused to play outright. She won the game by surviving and if they had just played by the rules all of them would have still been alive but because Grandma there decided to grab the ax and charge her anyway she broke the rules triggering the curse for everybody.
That is Samara Weaving. She an Australian actress who has been blowing up on the horror scene. She did this, Mayhem, the newest Scream movie, and the Babysitter. Give em all a shot. Great movies. And fun fact; her uncle is Hugo Weaving a.k.a. Agent Smith. V. Megatron ect. Love your videos Mello!
Notice that her scream throughout the movie has tonal shades of the vocalizations a goat makes, symbolizing the "sacrificial goat" motif. Gives a whole new meaning to "throat goat". And each time she lets out a major scream - three times, the two most memorable of which are when the car is rolling, and when she backs up with the knife after escaping the sacrifice for the second time - it gets more intense, and more animalistic.
It took me several watches to realize that everyone that joins the family has to sign on to the deal. If “their patron” thinks they won’t join, then they draw the card and have to be sacrificed. If they are likely to join, then they get a dumb game and join the family.
"We gotta jump you in first" you weren't wrong. It's a fun rollercoaster ride of a movie, but that last line takes it to the next level. It's rare that a movie is still delivering even down to the last word.
I loved when the guy was watching a RUclips video on how to use his crossbow. That's immediately what I do when I need to learn something quickly lmfao
As well as her cameo at the start of Scream 6, a really nice touch is that you can see someone dressed as Samara Weaving's Ready or Not bride among all the passengers wearing Halloween costumes in the later subway scene.
First time I saw this movie I was just like you, I thought the curse was also BS. Thought they were just crazy rich people, lot of them are actually crazy. Laughed my ass off when they started to blow up.
An under appreciated Horror Black Comedy. Samara Weaving does a great job as the final girl. Writing is on point, acting is on point, gore and scares are on point. Very much like Cabin In The Woods. It’s an all around well made film, and trust me the first time I saw this I had very low expectations.
I loved this movie so much, it's one of the rare movies where I loved every single character in the movie. whether it's love them or love to hate them.
People have pointed out that the dress itself is its own character. They made multiple versions of the dress with multiple layers that would change along with Samara as the night goes on.
25:47 and 26:00 your reactions at both of those were priceless. It’s funny because almost every reactor thinks that the curse is not real and when the curse is real there either like what just happened or oh my gosh and honestly, this movie had probably one of the best and satisfying endings ever😂😂😂😂😂😂
Okay TOTALLY off topic buttt the SPARTA intro thing in the beginning...I do the arm up thing & do the oooh oooh oooh. Ahahaaa yes. CAN'T wait to watch you watch SPARTA. Much love from Brasil.🖤
Oh man, this movie is awesome- the acting is on point and Samara Weaving is the goat (ha). She also stars in "The Babysitter" from 2017, highly recommend catching it, it's along the same lines and it's a fun watch!
What’s funny is since she won technically daniel would live by default but his family would still die, he originally thought he would always choose her and vice versa but once he knew she’d leave he thought “fuck it” and agreed to help (ofc seeing daniel too)
@@THECAR99It’s all about the set lighting and lens filters that are chosen. When they were trying to focus on eyes, the production team looked at the background and then did a scene comparison to “The Fellowship of The Ring”. Wherever their filters were at that time, and their added lighting was at that time, they attempted to replicate in this film. It sounds odd, because nobody would think TLOTR and this film have anything in common, but they have ONE very important thing that follows through. The entire production team did not want to enhance ANY of the eyes at any point. Now, her eyes are gorgeous in this film, and some other things were done to make them pop.. Most of the film, they were the only thing of that color on the screen, they were the only thing of a cooler color tone on the screen, the kept her covered in blood or in front of reddish or wood tone backgrounds, her outfit was white (white brings out any eye color), most importantly they kept her makeup simple. I can not tell you how many GORGEOUS women’s eyes are lost in a scene because of how much makeup they have on their face. Normally it’s decided by some guy too. It’s baffling. I think when people watch the 1st LOTR they assume when Frodo gets stabbed that they put contacts in his eyes, or digitally enhanced them as he begins to “cross-over”, they didn’t. It was a few eye-drops that shrink your pupil for around 35-40 minutes, but those are really his eyes. Everything that is seen was what was recorded there in that moment. I prefer to work with teams that like getting the right shot wherever we are, than these teams who will edit something together- it is always noticeable. I had an amazing time working on this project, I’ve worked on quite a few- but this one was just fun.
IM SO EXCITED TO WATCH THIS WITH U MELLO .. ugh i love this movie, i remember watching th trailer thinking it was the stupidest thing ever .. but it’s one of my fav movies now
21:05 Yeah, OnStar (GM) is the best known, but other brands have similar things. Movies take some creative license here, because they won’t immobilize a car that is in motion, because that would be extraordinarily hazardous to other drivers on the road. They can, however, slow it down, and prevent the ignition from being restarted after it is shut down. (So in reality Grace would have been able to drive away just fine. :P )
I’ve read several different theories on this. One theory is that Mr. Labelle knew Grace was not a fit for the family. Because she was still good and kind hearted. That was why she drew the card. There is another theory that the reason she did not explode in the end was she said she wanted a divorce, therefore separating her from the family. My personal theory is that Grace was chosen to destroy the family. Mr. Labelle felt the Ladomus family had fallen short of the ideals he wanted. They were no longer worthy of his “gift/blessings”. He selected Grace to eradicate them. That’s why he nodded at her at the very end and that she was allowed to live.
This is the first time that I'm Watching this movie and I'm glad it's with you. The first time I saw that actress was in a horror movie called The Babysitter. If you haven watched it, I recommend that you do. It's so wild!
The only Iconic thing in this movie was Samara Weavings screams. something about her screams get me everytime I worry she bursting her vocal cords every single time she does; but she has earned the title of Scream Queen for me
It was only one card and she got hide and seek because she wasn’t a sh!tty person nor would she do this to sb else. She wasn’t able to be corrupted for money
I love how you put yourself in the scenes sometimes, roast the characters & how immersed you are in the movies you watch & act as if you're the character in the movies when you say "me" and I love that. I honestly wish I found your channel sooner, you really lift my spirit and gotten me out of depression spouts so many times, thank you for being the amazing RUclipsr that you are & never let anyone or anything change how pure you are as a human being. ❤@HelloMellowXVI I wish I had a friend like you.

OMG Thank You So Much! You Know Me And The Team Try Our Best!
Speaking facts rn. I saw a clip where he said he didn't one of his Kong fu panda thumbnails and I was BAFFLED 😭 it looked amazing
The movie The Proteje (2021) is a good action movie. Samuel L Jackson,Maggie Q and Michael Keaton ❤🙂
@@HelloMellowXVI All that aside, DAMN, you were mean as HELL this episode haha (just the beginning actually!)
Literally every video I take a second to look at the thumbnail
She’ll be fine at the end, she just has to direct the cops to the pit of corpses as proof that the family was a bunch of psychopaths.
good point, and it's far enough away that it won't burn because the house was
THANK YOU. Those bodies predate her birth, which no one ever mentions.

There were also those people who refused to play or ran from the family that then died mysteriously along with their spouse

Same and daniel would still live since he’s married to her. he didn’t blow up until she said divorce
But the whole family believed if they didn't sacrifice her, they'd die.
I haven't heard this take before but I really like it, makes a lot of sense.

She’s AMAZING 🔥
Fun fact; in the original, ending Grace DID die but the directors decided to give our main character a win, which I’m glad they did
Thank God they did!

It's also part of the concept of the scapegoat. In sacrificing someone else they try to absolve themselves of whatever wickedness.
wow really interesting insight
no that's just the way she scream same one in Babysitter

Samara Weaving is one of the modern horror scream queens, 110%. If there's a horror movie and she's in it, I'm watching it as soon as I can.
I loved this movie so much, it's one of the rare movies where I loved every single character in the movie. whether it's love them or love to hate them.
Yep, also in train to Busan
I love Samara's laugh and screams equally.

Knives Out and Ready or Not were like the perfect 'eff the rich people' combo to come out the same year 😂 By 2019 we were already so done...
I’m glad you reacted to this movie and I’m glad you loved it. I laughed along to those hilarious moments and loved the cast. It deserves that A.
