Jergin the Brutal was another player. Only players have strength and weaknesses pop-ups. All of this was confirmed by Director and Writer, Jake Kasdan. The player controlling Jergin is still unknown, but we can pretty much assume he will be in the next movie.
16:15 that is Colin Hanks. He is the son of Samantha Lewes and Tom Hanks. 22:50 Dwayne Johnson does a great job being Danny Devito and Kevin Hart does a great job as Danny Glover. I would’ve loved to see them working on the roles. Jack Black as always kills it with all the roles. 27:23 man you missed a great shot with Alex riding Bethany.
So, a crazy theory to think about is that none of the other villains or NPC's had strengths or weaknesses. Only players have them. Except for Yurgen the brutal so there is a theory that Yurgen was another player who got trapped in the game and stuck as the bad guy role. So, it's possible it was another person who died in the game without them knowing.
To be fair, I don't think they should make a modern Jumanji with the actual premise of the old Jumanji. Having video games for these two completely works but as soon as they do the same thing as the old movie it might do them more harm than good.
Both movies are hilarious in their own right but I definitely find this one more funny. It just provides an extra depth to the characters which increases comedic effect for me 😁

I'm hoping for Bonnie Hunt's participation in the next film also because hers is the only character who remembers what happened during the first game of Jumanji while the others don't, such as Nora and the same goes for Judy and Peter, who knows if we'll see them in the next film. It would have been nice to see Robin Williams once again as Alan Parrish.. too bad he's no longer around. 💜

I think the villains of the *game* feel flat and undeveloped bc most game villains are like that - too much humanization will ruin the desire to defeat them - and the true antagonist of the *movie* is the internal struggle our team has within, and amongst, themselves.

Was most shocked to see Kristen Stewart. I grew up w the original Jumanji, and my father has/had a HUGE dvd collection - for me, personally, I'm a little shocked it escaped our attention back then as it's definitely something both of us would have enjoyed, but that's why I'm pretty certain most people aren't aware of it. These Welcome to the Jungle sequels are definitely making it more known though, and I'm grateful for it!

Oh Kevin Hart got range. People mainly know him for his comedic roles where he just be himself. But in his dramatic roles he’s really good, especially in Fatherhood and he really showed a different side in the True Story miniseries with him and Wesley Snipes on Netflix

I dont think the villains are meant to be really good. Its all based on old school video games. Back then they weren't that detailed. Something like Mario. Goal - collect gem. Mission - complete obstacles and watch out for big bad guy. Thats pretty much it lol.
