Jumanji: The Next Level Movie Description:
When Spencer goes back into the fantastical world of Jumanji, pals Martha, Fridge and Bethany re-enter the game to bring him home. But the game is now broken -- and fighting back. Everything the friends know about Jumanji is about to change, as they soon discover there's more obstacles and more danger to overcome.
Jumanji: The Next Level is a 2019 American fantasy adventure comedy film directed by Jake Kasdan, who co-wrote the script with Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. The film is the fourth installment in the Jumanji film series and the sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017). Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Alex Wolff, Morgan Turner, Ser'Darius Blain, and Madison Iseman reprise their roles from the previous film while Awkwafina, Danny Glover, and Danny DeVito join the cast. The film's plot takes place two years after Welcome to the Jungle, in which the same group of teenagers, along with an old friend and two unwitting additions, become trapped in Jumanji once again. There, they all find themselves facing new problems and challenges with both old and new avatars, while having to save the land from a new villain to escape.
Principal photography took place between January 21 to May 11, 2019, in locations including Atlanta, New Mexico, Alberta, and Hawaii.
Jumanji: The Next Level was released in the United States on December 13, 2019, by Sony Pictures Releasing. The film received generally positive reviews from critics and grossed $801.7 million worldwide against a $125-132 million budget, becoming the tenth-highest-grossing film of 2019. A sequel is in development.

16:15 that is Colin Hanks. He is the son of Samantha Lewes and Tom Hanks. 22:50 Dwayne Johnson does a great job being Danny Devito and Kevin Hart does a great job as Danny Glover. I would’ve loved to see them working on the roles. Jack Black as always kills it with all the roles. 27:23 man you missed a great shot with Alex riding Bethany.
Jergin the Brutal was another player. Only players have strength and weaknesses pop-ups. All of this was confirmed by Director and Writer, Jake Kasdan.
The player controlling Jergin is still unknown, but we can pretty much assume he will be in the next movie.
The end credits really had all of us hyped. But still no news about the next installment 😭

To be fair, I don't think they should make a modern Jumanji with the actual premise of the old Jumanji. Having video games for these two completely works but as soon as they do the same thing as the old movie it might do them more harm than good.

So, a crazy theory to think about is that none of the other villains or NPC's had strengths or weaknesses. Only players have them. Except for Yurgen the brutal so there is a theory that Yurgen was another player who got trapped in the game and stuck as the bad guy role. So, it's possible it was another person who died in the game without them knowing.

Both movies are hilarious in their own right but I definitely find this one more funny. It just provides an extra depth to the characters which increases comedic effect for me 😁
This is the third film in the series, and it was meant to be the finale, until it was decided to have one more film

I'm hoping for Bonnie Hunt's participation in the next film also because hers is the only character who remembers what happened during the first game of Jumanji while the others don't, such as Nora and the same goes for Judy and Peter, who knows if we'll see them in the next film.
It would have been nice to see Robin Williams once again as Alan Parrish.. too bad he's no longer around. 💜

Yeah, but Nora wouldn't remember because after Alan won the first game, everything reset and both Judy and Peter didn't remember because it didn't happen, and their parents never died. It's kind of confusing.
I think the villains of the *game* feel flat and undeveloped bc most game villains are like that - too much humanization will ruin the desire to defeat them - and the true antagonist of the *movie* is the internal struggle our team has within, and amongst, themselves.

I remembered laughing so hard at the squad wipe scene because you hardly get a movie that shows a squad wipe in a gaming scenario.

Oh Kevin Hart got range. People mainly know him for his comedic roles where he just be himself. But in his dramatic roles he’s really good, especially in Fatherhood and he really showed a different side in the True Story miniseries with him and Wesley Snipes on Netflix
Jumanji: welcome to the jungle (2017) was a continuation of Jumanji (1995) we know this because it directly continues the kids throwing the boardgame into the sea, where that game is found and turns into a video game upon seeing that boardgames are out of style, the teen that gets pulled in stays at Allen Parrish's (Robin Williams) base. Jumanji: the next level (2019) is thus the third movie in what is currently a triqual.

@@ShaquanVirse I've been aware of it for a bit now, and *just* recently (like earlier this month) watched a reaction to get a feel for it - and I really enjoyed what I saw !! Was most shocked to see Kristen Stewart.
I grew up w the original Jumanji, and my father has/had a HUGE dvd collection - for me, personally, I'm a little shocked it escaped our attention back then as it's definitely something both of us would have enjoyed, but that's why I'm pretty certain most people aren't aware of it. These Welcome to the Jungle sequels are definitely making it more known though, and I'm grateful for it!
