  • Small DIY kitchen renovation, start to finish! In this video, I'm showing you how I refinished our butcher block countertops, installed floating shelf hardware and shelves, new window installation, how I spray painted your kitchen cabinets like a pro, how I made our refrigerator look built in, how to tile your own backsplash .... and what happens when the previous homeowners cut corners and leave you to clean it up 😳
    Big thanks to Wagner for sponsoring this video! I really like the Flexio 3500 paint sprayer. It's a good one to have for a variety of interior and exterior projects. Check it out here: bit.ly/3XQMKQX

    Very impressive! I think you should keep the wood, it pops against the white tile and blue cabinets. I think it would be a mistake to change them out to concrete gray. Couldn’t stop watching. Women have such detail, brains, and then mix with practical expertise… Unstoppable! Thank you.

    I love the color of the wood. Having the white oak on the shelves makes sense to have lighter color above but the orange undertone works well as a complimentary color with the blue.
    I'm so impressed with all the skills you have. I hope to make over my future kitchen one day( when I own)

    You did it again-another great project-well done! You make it look so easy and I know it isn't-that's your superpower! LoL. Please share at the end of the video's approx cost involved and actual real time. Especially beginner DIY'ers have no idea how long it takes to do tasks. This really leads to frustrated people and half finished projects. Thanks again for another great project and video.

    Amazing job, and I love to see people come out of their comfort zones. I also am so afraid of color not sure if it will stand out too much or ‘cave’ color. I am wondering if your skim coating idea would work over plastered walls that had old wallpaper applied and then stripped off the wrong way which left huge swaths of torn plaster. Then of all things in the 70’s they applied textured wall paper over that. Our house was built in 1942 and we find horrible shortcuts every time we try a project. I want to add color to my bedroom walls, but. I feel the only reason I didn’t ‘see’ the huge mistakes under the wallpaper was because the whole house was painted eggshell white. We don’t have the money to teat out all the walls and replace drywall. A house is juts a building, I know… But a home is a home and we want to make it our own. Please keep making videos. I sent the stock to video to my brother for his little boy, and I am going to work on that outdoor shower, when we finish our deck. If you do the hot tub thing, PLEASE post! We are in upstate, NY so sounds like a cool idea for a group level project

    • @MakerGray
      @MakerGray  10 месяцев назад +2

      Agreed - a home is a home and important to make it your own and feel good where you live :) Plastered walls are foreign to me! We don't have those down here in Texas. Thank you so much for your comments and for sharing the videos and I will definitely make a video if I do the hot tub!

    That kitchen came out amazing! I have a heavy textured wall that looks bad and now I know how to make it nice and smooth. Would you recommend the paint sprayer for interior walls as well? Is a roller still better for a large wall?

    • @MakerGray
      @MakerGray  10 месяцев назад

      Yes, you could totally spray a wall with this sprayer! I think the wider nozzle would be best, instead of the detailed nozzle that I used for the cabinets. Regarding sprayer vs roller, it really just depends on how much prep you want to do to mask off the wall. IMO, a sprayer always looks better. Thanks so much!
