Dimash cannot be human. His voice is a gift from Heaven.
no its a gift to himself for hard work. you can't expect god to give you anything, you need to train and train and train till you make it.
@@neisanland2503 To clarify, I am not taking anything away from Dimash. He has obviously worked an insane number of hours to hone his talent. I was simply expressing my amazement at his level of performance, and my gratitude to God for allowing me to experience it. God bless.

"Up to the E?!"
Love your reactions😂
Lmaoo it sounded like Dimash stuck something deep up there if you know what I mean.
That's honestly what makes his videos the best "voice person reacts" videos for me.
He obviously is very passionate when it comes to singing and lets himself be amazed, while also explaining why exactly something is so amazing.
Plus he sometimes just throws in the shit the people do in the video just like that (like imitating the sounds in this video, the thing with the larynx etc.) and most other react videos only explain it roughly.
Привет всем

hahahah this was my favorite part
Not going to lie, I binged on about 8 videos entitled "Voice Teacher reacts to Dimash", and this is clearly the most in depth and technical analysis/appreciation. You demonstrate the capacity to sing the piece in the same key, but you don't carry any of the snobbish, egotistical superiority of some. No need to subscribe to any others.
Have you watched Tara's?
I hadn't I just watched her's though. It's a newer one, and I hadn't come across her channel yet. But, as with Sam, there's really good analysis, and genuine appreciation for the technique and performance. To be honest, her reaction says everything that goes through my mind as I listen to that performance. I'll check more of hers, as well. The other reaction I really appreciated was on a channel called Rebecca Vocal Athlete. You might check that one out, too.
lol, those are the 3 I watch!
Tara is apparently classically trained and as such she seems to have more appreciation for vocal range and probably guys like Dimash, while Sam focuses on technique and...vowels, I guess. I don't know this stuff. I possibly enjoyed her reaction a bit more.
@@harisablay7020 I prefer Tara's reaction a lot more really. She gets way more excited while still knowing what to pay attention to and she also acknowledges how good this singer is. This guy pausing every other second I found a bit annoying. No need to pause all the time, just enjoy the music.
I feel like every voice teacher have crush on him

there are an awful lot of "vocal coach reacts" content creators out there. How ever this guy actually really knows what he is talking about. CHEERS!
exactly. I used to (like a couple of years ago) adore watching Tristan Paredes but really just for his taste in music, and the more I'm watching this guy the less I think I can go back. The way he explains everything feels soo legitimate and it just keeps you hooked to the screen.
i agree
Emi pellegrino is a pretty good vocal coach, and she actually knows alot of how the voice works and stuff
Agree. I like Tara Simon too.
100% agree
I strongly dislike reaction videos because most are just a cry for attention, fake attention. But MY GOD it is refreshing to see someone do this for the pure love of it. You are extremely knowledgeable and the amount of true joy you get from this is amazing. Keep it up mate

Just imagine the number of hours day after day after day that he practiced to achieve this level of skill. He was blessed with an incredible instrument but he was also blessed with amazing work ethic and discipline to boot. He is the MIchael Jordan of vocalists.
This song is known to be THE impossible song to sing because of that low-to-up chorus. You need to have a wide vocal range to be able to do it..... That's probably why he chose it out of all. A Kazakh guy singing a french song on a chinese show x)
I kinda feel proud to be french cause of this lol T.T

Mate, I've seen several people reacting to Dimash, but honestly, your reaction is by far the best one! Just loved how many technical comments you added and also how much you enjoy watching this guy playing with his voice as he does! Amazing job!

I agree. He explains it with technical knowledge but easy to understand. He really knows what he is doing. Loved the video
So true. I have seen so many reactions. You are the first one, that comments doesn’t disturbed the song. And you have so much fun looking at him. You really enjoy this gift. Greets from Germany
Watch Soprano Notes reaction video. She has a smaller audience but she’s extremely thorough as well as she is an opera singer. Enjoy 😊

I am a 60 year old guy, and i never ever had a tear of a guy singing till now. 😢
What a performance! 👏👏👏👏
Are we sure he's even really a human? His ability is mind blowing. So effortless and so humble. 👽? No but seriously, he is out of this world. Another video of Dimash a commenter asked for people to try and describe how his voice is so different as he is deaf and is fascinated by people's facial expressions and absolutely stunned everyone looks watching him sing. I wrote it's like hearing the entire ocean. Light and free as the waves when they crash on shore in the sunshine..to the deepest undiscovered depths. All at once. There we some excellent analogies.
4:19 Your face when he made that note. LOL

If you can't explain it to people with pedestrian-level knowledge in the subject, then you don't know what you're doing.
Thank you, Sam, for a great reaction and analysis! I adore Dimash! Dimash Kudaibergen is 24 years old Kazakh singer known for his wide vocal range, encompassing 5 octaves, 4 tones and a half tone. His range reaches the bottom notes of the baritone register, all the way through to the highest soprano notes, and on to the whistle register. His lowest recorded note is F2, and his highest note recorded is D8. Although trained in classical singing and being invited to work at Astana Opera, Kudaibergen decided to carve out a career in contemporary music, incorporating classical elements and traditional Kazakh music with pop music. Dimash is also known for singing in multiple languages. To date, he has sung in Kazakh, Russian, English, Mandarin, French, Turkish, Ukrainian, Serbian, and Italian. He speaks Kazakh and Russian and studies English and Mandarin. He has named Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Lara Fabian, and Luciano Pavarotti as musical influences. Please, next Confessa + The Diva Dance (from a movie 5th Element.
Please, more! Greetings from Croatia, Europe
His background absolutely explains his sound! He's doing some unique stuff in pop music.

I have NEVER appreciated music and singing so much in my entire life. I am not into music, but Dimash's SOS got my eyes opened. He got me to watch hours and hours of his videos trying to understand why he can sing like this and I'm happy Dimash lives in our era so we can witness his existence.. I saw someone else post there are four levels of singing:
1. Beginner
2. Intermediate
3. Advanced
4. Dimash
0.Can't reach any level..😭
😂😂😂😂😂that’s a good one!
"He is a counter tenor" ... NO WAY. He can sing as a counter tenor, when he wants it, then as a tenor, then as a barytone, or a sopranist ... he can do it ALL !
To be fair, he said that before hearing the rest of the song.
That's fanboyism speaking. Every person has a preferred register. That doesn't mean that it's all they can do. Through training, practice and good coaching, you can go outside of your register just fine. It's just where "home" is.
U genius too!
@La Folha yeah, but then you've got Avi Kaplan who can literally create overtones with his own voice, and rocks the bass realm
Well many people call him counter tenor i think
I love your reaction. "Up th the E?" After watching your video I started watching other singers and vocal coaches also review the same song & yours is by far the best and the most analytical of what's going on. Well done!

Fidelma Nielsen I do that all the time with great performances! I always say”I bet their momma is so proud!” Gotta love it.
Apparently both of his parents are famous, classically trained singers in Kazakhstan. It helps to have genetics on your side.
7:44 that gentleman crying is his dad. He seems proud and emotional :’)
Watch his perfomance of "Marigold" you will enjoy it. Btw the woman that they show a lot is his mother
SOS is such a classical song in France. Balavoine is one of our best singer/composer. What's not to like? I still prefer the original version because I was raised with it and also because it's song full of melancholia. But Dimash has an extraordinary voice. Never heard something quite like it! He is breathtaking.
Yeaa.. They're different type of singing. One is full of emotion and the lyrics just hit your soul. Another is an extraordinary voice which is smooth and so melodious.
Dimash seems to like singing in french ( or it's the song in itself). Balavoine, Lara Fabian...
For those who don't know, he has over a 6 octave vocal range and can out-whistle note Ariana Grande and Mariah Carey, whilst also being able to sing in 6+ languages with perfect tone. Dude is just an alien and I love him.
No need to compare he is a piece of shit next to ariana or mariah all he ever did was sing songs on talent shows and never tried to actually craft his voice while mariah and ariana have songwriting and touring everyday. This guy has been trained his entire life and gets to prepare 1 month for every performance. He isnt an alien he is just overrated
@@gersi3047 if he is a piece of shit like you allege I'm curious why you're here. Also he's "never tried to craft his voice" but then also "has trained his entire life"? 🤔. There's an incongruence there. The breath control he has, emotion he expresses and the stage presence he cultivates is amazing. Also, songwriting and/or touring do not exclusively a singing talent define. Songwriting is a prelude to the performance and a useful skill to have, can even be a profession in its own right; touring and success is a resultant outcome of talent and/or being noticed/contacts but is not the be all and end all for some people. Rhianna is famous and tours but doesn't write her own songs, she has a team, but that's OK and doesnt exclude her from being a world-renowned musician. She can sing well, and has good stage presence and a marketable brand, so she is successful. Are other world-renowned singers who don't tour much any less talented in their singing capability than if they toured more? Of course not, that's like saying an artist whose paintings sold for millions only after they died were a shitty artist until then. The painting is still the same throughout. To decry it and the artist based on recognition at various times in their lives is just dismissive of and disingenuous to the talent.
Furthermore I never said anything bad about Mariah Carey or Ariana Grande, they are both incredibly talented singers and accomplished women in the music industry, as a woman and a singer myself I admire them immensely. Praising the crazy impressive vocal range of a man, when men usually cannot reach such registers does not in any way make what they can do any less impressive in its own right.
I could go on and on trying to change your mind but I get the impression that you're gonna hate on Dimash regardless of what I say and I have better things to do with my time. Let's just agree to disagree.
@@gersi3047 Ariana Grande? Are you seriously comparing him to her? She's great, but miles apart from Dimash. Mariah is more fit for a comparison. Also, you evaluate the quality of music by touring? Again, are you serious? For instance, classical singing is the most difficult, a pop singer is not better than a classical one just because they are on every radio. It's just the low standards of people who prefer easy catchy music instead of art (don't get me wrong, taste is taste, I listen to pop more than to opera too, but I can appreciate which one is superior). Then again, it seems that you don't know much about Dimash, he's done live events and concerts way more than studio singing, and he has covers, originals written by other composers, and songs written by himself too. At least open up his Wikipedia page to make an idea before saying such nonsense. He's got a lot of musical activity. The US music industry isn't everything.
Show me another singer as versatile and complex as him. He has some songs that couldn't be sang by anyone else without considerable changes. You disrespect a world-class singer, possibly because you feel that your favourites are threatened by him. Someone better showing up doesn't take away anything from legends like Mariah, she's still Mariah. We evolve, music evolves and Dimash takes it to the next level, like it or not.
Olympia Rose uauuuu u must not have a life
@@gersi3047 I guess it was too much to hope for to expect a reasoned, rational, nuanced response to my reply to your comment when I asked you to substantiate it. Did you even read and understand my reply?
I think we're done here unless you have something more constructive and on-topic to contribute in reply than that apparently I must have no life, simply on the basis that I took a few moments to provide an in depth, cogent response to your comment that you seemingly don't have the knowledge or backbone to refute and so elected to delegate your response to throwing out meaningless tired idioms like a child.
If you can't support your viewpoint with anything more than dismissive bellicosity and rhetoric then how can you ever justify your opinion to be worth anybody's time or contemplation. You can't. Its that simple.
Next time you want to try exchanging debative barbs with someone, I'd suggest making sure you're able to converse on their level before being eviscerated in text in front of anyone who reads the thread.

The show will run for 10 episodes, and also air in Australia. Enjoy!

Hi Sam. Excellent vocal reaction to Dimash song, I enjoyed it and appreciate your expertise. Dimash is a genius and has the most beautiful voice in the world.
Regards from Colombia
And this is the voice teacher reaction video i'm looking for.
Please, react to Dimash--Confessa+The Diva dance.
The diva dance is especially good for seeing more of what his range is - its a song that was originally done with synthesisers because it was thought too hard for a human to sing. There's also a performance of just that song that was done in his bastau concert - ruclips.net/video/kN1gLc-4jm0/видео.html
Yes, please!
Yaasssss... and after that please watch the Diva Dance at Bastau concert... ☺
this is from a chinese singing competition, this was his first performance, you can watch all of his performances from this talented man! he's great
I watched a lot of reactions to Dimash the past couple of years but you’re one of the best, most explicit, most competent, very objective, appreciative and analytical.
Thank you for one of the best reactions ever.
I hope your channel grows as you deserve because you really know what you are doing.
Very professional.
🙏👌❤️🇦🇺
Muchas gracias por compartir y reaccionar al maestro Dimash 😊
Finally a voice coach who knows what hes talking about. This was his first performance in a singing competion. I cant wait to see your reaction to the next 13 performances - you will be lost for words as they just get better and better!
Ting Tong what’s the name of the competition?
Sara Dickson it’s a Chinese tv show called “I am a singer” where only singers who have received any international award (i.e. outside of home country) can participate. If you’re interested in this particular talented singer Dimash, he participated in the last season, 2017 :)
You should watch Emre Yücelen for Dimash analysis
Dimash's range is from F2 - D8 (sustained)! He is classically trained...and wonderful!
I love your vocal wisdom and explanations! Just listening to you causes recall of music memories from family (all musical, professional and "just for church ") and being in some choir for all of childhood , you stir all those wonderful feelings and memories. Thank you! Im a subscriber now!
Watched a lot of Dimash Sos reactions....in technicality terms you are the best on RUclips, thank you Sam....Tips Hat From UK !
Blown away by this guy, he's so completely talented not only vocally but his being able to control his air flow in such a way that it looks so effortless. I've never actually seen someone change so many singing styles in one song, it makes me kind of dizzy lol! I'm just sitting here wondering who his voice teacher was because omg whoever it is...they are extraordinary. Bravo!
I know his parents opera singers... and yes, his Kazakh and so im))) love his voice
This was actually the first performance for the China competition's new season of The Singer 2017 [which was why the crowd was excited for it to start at the beginning] -- but what is often overlooked is that he was pretty much a complete unknown to that audience [he's from Kazakhstan and didn't speak any Chinese at that time], and he was the least expected or anticipated to do much since he was pretty much unknown to the audience [which is why he was placed to go first -- the most anticipated singers were set to perform last on that episode].
This was the first time the China audience and other performers in the back room on the show heard him sing. Between his first performance ["S.O.S." in French] and his 2nd performance [Vita's "Opera 2" in Russian], he quickly won their hearts completely.

Vitas is an idol
Wow, your grasp of vocal knowledge and explanation are top notch. You're giving out gems and making me want to sing again. Anyway, the tip on how technique allows storytelling is epic. We all want to tell a story, but we forget it's told one well executed fundamental at a time. I've taken note lol.
Hello sam and first I would like to tahnks you for being the first vocal teacher that analyse this song to reconise my language, French. Bravo et merci :) now a little history : Starmania is a cyberpunk rock opera by Michel Berger on a libretto by Luc Plamondon. Created on April 10, 1979 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, the work has become, over the course of its productions and recordings, one of the most played shows and the arias, among the most famous in the French-speaking repertoire. This song (sung at the time by Daniel Balavoine) is taken from it. Daniel Balavoine was the original singer and Gregory Lemarchal was very known in france 'cause he won a song co !ntest with a severe lung hill, He passed away since. Now the "E.T" Dimash is taken this song perfectly in technical, and 90% in prononced words in french ;) Bonne écoute !
note !! yes sir a D
Dimash - STRANGER new song is insane but if you wants a slap in face with a D8 note ! yes sir a D8 !!!! watch this song : UNFORGETTABLE DAY
Your laugh at 4:34, this level of cuteness. I'm in love.
It's refreshing to see a voice teacher enjoy the performance as much an audience member would.
He likes what he hears and he gives a professional explanation. Kudos!
Learned so much about Dimash's techniques that made me appreciate his performance even more. Thanks for a really good reaction commentary. Always love Dimash's artistry, voice and story telling.
I keep coming back to this reaction. I have yet to find anyone who dissects this song and Dimash's singing style as well as you do.
1 million views! Dimash's power !!
I just love how you can see every person reacting to Dimash slowly falling for him because he is just a wonder of nature
