      You should check out Zach Ansley. He's a new and quite small channel at this point (771 subs). The major crux of his vocal analyses are pointing out what is, or is not, healthy and how to alter you technique for long term vocal health. Due to his firm rooting in bel canto technique, and strong focus on vocal health and longevity, he is very against harsh vocals. He is open to evidence that there is a safe way to do them though.

    This is one of my favorite videos by Dimash, precisely because he’s having fun with it. He’s playing with his audience, cheeky as heck. Vitas won’t let him sing this anymore-I wish Igor Krutoy would write something this playful for Dimash to sing-all their songs are so serious!

    • @Eddie_Roxo

    I have always been fascinated with the way Dimash handles his mic, and more especially after I've come to realise that everything he does onstage has a purpose. I'd never thought of him doing that mic waving purposely to ensure people know he isn't lipsyncing. I find it hugely entertaining that this amazingly talented young man has had to do that to prove it's him singing live because people just cannot believe what he does is possible.

      Yes, Opera-2 is a pretty simple song for Dimash. He was just professionally and beautifully climbing a musical ladder. In his repertoire there are more complicated compositions in the vocal and artistic terms. I read that Opera-2 is the desire of the organizers. In China, this song is familiar to viewers.

      Yes, when I thought I've seen everything, he surprised me with Confessa + Diva Dance. It was over a year ago, and he even progresses more. His SOS in Slavic Bazaar 2018 is sooooo much better than SOS in The Singer. And his performance in Sochi, singing Sinful Passion...oh...brought me to tears. He keeps surprising me. Too bad we would never see how much better he can become in singing Opera 2 since Vitas prohibits him from singing this song again.

    • @Xieda
      @Xieda 5 лет назад +1

      After hearing Dimash singing here, I was reminded of The Diva Dance and was interested to see if Dimash had covered it. He had, but it seemed he changed it in the trill section (aka, took out the dance and substituted a simpler pattern) which I thought was a shame considering how many different singers have given that vocal dance a go. I thought if anyone was going to do the designed-to-be-impossible-for-humans opera it could have been him. But then he kinda skates right over it. Gotta be honest, I was disappointed.

    ❤️❤️❤️❤️ The first time I saw this performance I was a little put off by how “cocky” Dimash was acting...thank heavens I stuck with him and all his other performances because this is all part of his show...he changes characters based on his song choice...this song is fun and flirty and so was Dimash. I’ve been following him for almost a year now and have learned how truly humble he is. He does have confidence in his singing, rightfully so, but his dad surprised him by coming from Kazakhstan to see Dimash during this episode. Dimash did not know his dad was in the audience until after the song was over and Dimash was saying thank you...he glanced over to the opposite side of the audience and got a glimpse of his dad....this can be seen at the end of this video. Dimash gave his dad a bear thug and lifted him off his feet. The camera follows them heading back to the contestants lounge and Dimash asked his dad “Did I sing good.” Thank you for your reaction! I appreciate your insights and ability to explain things to us non singing viewers.

    The man in the shadows they keep going to with the camera is Dimash's father who has come to surprise and support him. Dimash is confident when singing but it is hard to be in a country where you cannot understand a thing that anyone is saying. It just shows how close his family is to each other. When you have time, could you analyze The Show Must Go On. I cannot say why, but it is one of my favorites.

    I love how I am genuinely learning things by watching you react. It makes me want to learn how to sing! I love all of your videos and think you should check out other Dimash performances as well! Such as ‘Adagio’ or the Diva dance’ but if you react to the Diva dance performance, definitely react to the Basteu version! You might not even see this but just some suggestions in case you do :3 thank you~

    It’s funny cause the original singer Vitas wasn’t too happy about Dimash outdoing him on this song even though he was really just having with it. Its why he never covers this song anymore.

    • @anunheardtruth3071
      @anunheardtruth3071 5 лет назад +10

      It was said to be due to copyright infringement although some suspect either to cover up the fact that Vitas always lipsyncs the song or it was a publicity stunt. Vitas himself said "respect the artist" and that he'll let his lawyers handle the issue, but his producer accused Dimash of capitalizing on Vitas' work. More recently someone asked Vitas on an Instagram chat about Dimash he said "he's a pretty nice guy", go figure.

      Infinite Fantasy As a Chinese audience who know the true things, let me explain. Dimashi recaptured this song and charged for it without the permission of vitas (please know that even vitas's original work is free in China), so Dimashi and Hunan TV apologized to vitas.
      But in conclusion,it’s mostly Hunan TV’s mistake.Hunan TV asked Dimashi to sing this song.(without permission)
      Many people recaptured Vitas’s opera,in the same tv program,Lin Zhixuan also recaptured Vitas’s opera #1,but nothing happened.You can recapture ,but please ask for permission,or at least not using it to charge.

      @@GG-we9qv Dimash shouldn't apologize for shit , my father was a producer on the voice talent show here in out home country at some point and he told me after the song gets chosen between the singer and the production crew and even the sponsor has to approve it , it's completely the job of the producers to take the legal actions in order to secure the rights to use the song . Even if they didn't ask him to perform the song and he was the one who chose to do so , it's still the producers and their legal team fucking job to secure the rights to the song . But of course Mr lip syncing didn't wanna sue the show because he didnt want his popularity in China to go down even lower than it already did in the past 10 years and he had no right to sue Dimash , his legal team only gave him a warning not to perform it again . Vitas was a great talented artist back in the day too bad his arrogance and cocky attitude turned so many people away from him . If you're really Chinese and you didn't just steal this comment from somewhere else you would know what I'm talking about .

    Oh my gosh! Never heard of him but for finding you. This - is - AMAZING! I've never seen anything like it. I get the feeling that if he were to try AGT, BGT, or The Voice or others like them, they'd just have no choice but to give him first place and be done with it. Astonishing. It's like an opera and a rock performance all in one. I love your reactions too.

    Great reaction Sam. You are really good in your profession. I wander what would you say on Adagio. He really show up with this song and won the Episode 2, but to insure herself to stay in competition he had to won the Episode 6. Adagio was his good choice and he won. I hope you will react to it too.
