That handicapped guy is a new level of entitlement. He expects the cop to know he forgot to hang his tag, but would be the first one to call to have someone else towed for not showing the place card….guaranteed! His entitlement reeks too bad for him to ignore if the issue was with someone else
The BMW guy tried to make it your responsibility about the handicap placard using excuses of being old and forgetful. You handled yourself like a real professional.
That is definitely not a bmw look at the rims lol it has a VW logo (Volkswagen) either way drivers/placard holders responsibility to make sure the placard is displayed correctly
Yeah, the old guy was deflecting and gaslighting like crazy. I'll bet he remembers to hang the thing up next time after he goes through the hassle of getting the ticket canceled.
Old guy go's to the trouble of getting a disabled placard but doesn't display it. Nobody's fault but his own. If he's so forgetful, then why is he driving?
What a great cop! I love that you’re giving people tickets for parking in handicap spots that don’t have placards. I see it all the time and it drives me crazy.
He is amazing. I’m so impressed by his professionalism and work ethic. Great job. It’s nice to see young people show they are serious and willing to be an important part of society. Really happy.
Officer Rodriguez is amazing! He’s just getting started but already has tremendous maturity-far more than I had at that age-and an outstanding attitude of service. Thank you Coral Springs PD for featuring many different officers who deserve the attention.
What an awesome video! So cool that you are featuring a young man with an amazing story. I have no doubt he'll be an amazing officer! The fact that he has that serious passion for his current duties is amazing. I was also a police explorer for 6 years when I was younger. I truly believe the explorer program is the best way to promote law enforcement to young people. It's extra responsibility for the officers who run the programs, but at least from my experience, they have a real passion for it! I'm so grateful to Officer Chris Noga (eventually Chief of Police Noga) of the Twinsburg, Ohio Police Department for training us (my identical twin brother and I were both explorers) and ensuring our experience was extremely enriching/rewarding.
Where I live (SE Virginia), people 18-21 can become police cadets they drive a police pickup and do traffic control, assist at crime scenes, haul cones, etc. Great video. Thanks Homer
Awesome to see this, I'm a Traffic Investigator I'm palm beach, love the position. It's my 20th year in law enforcement. He's got a great career ahead.
Definitely my new favorite channel!!! Funny how so many people are naive about basic traffic laws which we are told when we get a license and insurance! Read the fine print 😂
Great job on what you do. Best of luck in your future and if you decide to become a Coral Springs police officer, I am sure that you will be the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes!!! Thank you for ticketing the disabled parking violators. Even if they have a placard, you have to display it properly it or it's still illegal. In my town, they don't excuse people who forget to display it properly, even if they have one. That's why I have disabled plates... I never have to remember. 😂
@currentuser6118 First,.not a "sir" ... second, sympathy??? WTF? Aren't you a bundle of ableist joy. 🙄 Look, buddy... I'm physically disabled because I was nearly killed by an impaired driver. I need need those spots so I cam load an unload my mobility equipment. I have those plates on my vehicle because my multiple doctors and the state all agreed I needed them. They aren't for sympathy. You sound like you have a chip on your shoulder about something. Those plates are so I can use those spaces when I need them. I don't know where you get off thinking it's for special treatment or sympathy.
Parking lots are private property, and here in Lansing and surrounding areas of Michigan, it may be the whole state actually. Police will only respond to a parking lot accident if it is serious enough to require medical response for injuries! Police have no jurisdiction on private property and cannot enforce traffic laws or ticket you unless there is a prior written contract with the property owner. The exception is handicap parking enforcement!
I would push back on the trespass when they push it, only in most cases the private property owner would need to ask you to leave. That in of itself isn’t illegal to ask you to leave. Now if you don’t, then they could call the police to say you are trespassing, and then the next steps follow for law enforcement to formally trespass you.
The 1st disabled vehicle. I would've pushed back a little & went into the parking lot right next to it. Also if your vehicle just dies cause the battery. Your alternator went out. If it was just your battery your alternator would keep the vehicle running.
Great to see an agency enforcing the handicap parking, my late mother was in a wheelchair my entire life,it’s infuriating to see the amount of people that park in those spots when the don’t have a permit or they have a fake one, or they have one that belongs to a relative, etc etc.
@@coralspringspublicsafety I am looking forward a house so I can move out of my parents house is that a good county to live in or is the crime to high down there in the south
Now with the parking lot fender bender. The POLICE OFFICER could check parking lot video camera and the person with right of way could have been speeding fast in the parking lot and that was why they did not see that car coming on so fast. IN THAT CASE the right of way driver should be at fault FOR SPEEDING. Had it not been FOR THE SPEEDING the accident would not have occurred.
I do not comprehend the back out law.... when you're parked between two other cars you LITERALLY CANNOT SEE COMING TRAFFIC... how can you be at fault for what you physically cannot see?... logic would say the person in the street driving should be more cautious about cars pulling out .. they can see it. the person pulling out cannot.
@@Imac7065 Though I understand your side, it was indeed a serious comment. You are not supposed to drive when you can't see. You would need to get a second person to help you. But like I understand your situation and of course have been doint the same (creeping slowly out of the parking space) without help, hoping it would work out.
@@PhilGroene just to put your logic at work.... no one in the United States should ever park a vehicle in a parking lot... while driving alone? lol.. and FYI if you're blocked by cars on both sides.. it wouldn't matter if you had 50 people in the car.. they can't see through the other cars lol
An example of how not to drive a vehicle. One hand on the wheel sometimes, often NO hands on the wheel. An accident investigator should really have more sense.
Even though the guy was in the wrong for not hanging that placard he could have been a lot more respectful towards him and not be cynical and condescending.
This young man has a good future in front of him!

Haven't seen this dude before.. but he's super chill. He don't need no leg day with all those cars he's pushin'!

Don't need to do legs at the gym, when you can just be a TAI and push cars.
Looks like his car needs a wheel alignment
Weird concept of explaining pushing a 3000+lbs makes you tired 😂😂
I'm surprised that those cars aren't set up to be able to gently push a rolling disabled vehicle 🤔
One day you may find yourself that you didn't have 2 seconds to hang your handicap placard
yeah, maybe if I'm pulling up to an Emergency Department with a person that needs medical attention

I dont understand why its a big deal for him take it to the police department and get it dismissed
Just because you have the 'right of way' that does not give you carte blanch to speed in a parking lot..unless you want to get in a wreck
A towel is the most important item a cop can carry.
Bet the handicapped guy is from NY NJ😅
😅😅😂 It's your fault for not looking in his car ⁉️
Curious can you leave it hanging on your mirror all the time?
In some states that is forbidden because of blocking your view...
It usually says on the placard. In Texas you can’t have it hanging unless parked.
he doesn't carry a pistol for protection?
Our TAIs are civilians, not sworn officers
does he not get a gun?
