    Just had this treatment done last Friday. It was rough the first few days, then it began to feel better on the 3rd day. The treatment was a tad uncomfortable as well. After care... just keep it moisturized. Use a sensitive formula cleanser (wash 2-3 times a day), sensitive moisturizing cream & then cover with an ointment to keep it hydrated. If going outside, wear sunscreen & a wide brimmed hat! The first couple of days I took Benadryll to ease the swelling, which also helped me sleep. It's dry, tight, itchy & peeling now, but am excited for the end result!

      Another invasive and expensive procedure when food grade hydrogen peroxide can cure any potential skin cancers if u do it before it gets too bad. Unfortunately, a dermatologist in The Florida panhandle wanted to make more money and let one of his patients go until it was too late and he had to have a whole nipple removed!! Not cool! Don’t trust any conventional doctors anymore! Read about side affects first and do your research! Anecdotal studies are more valuable to Patients than anything! If you eat an all carnivore nose to tail diet you will have beautiful skin and feel great as well as build up your immune system. The USDA and WHO have been lying to us all these years! I will only see a Naturoathic Doctor and do alternative medicine and I look and feel great especially for my age! Also there are Online forums where you can y’all to other patients get reviews and see pics. He didn’t mention they also out u on an antibiotic which isn’t good since they’re over prescribed and people are building up resistances to them. If you have any surgeries during flu season and you’re already not a healthy person (eat healthy, insulin resistant, auto immmune disorders and yes that includes leaky gut syndrome, you’re more vulnerable to catch viruses especially if body is healing ) check out this video then see what you think about conventional medicine! They told my dad he’s die and to get his affairs in order and that was 11 years ago but he quit the chemo and went all natural!!

    Thank you for such an informative video! Having my PDTfor AK done in the coming weeks. My skincare routine consists of Tretenoine 0.1%, Vit C 10% and a few other less active ingredients. My question 1: should i stop using the above a few days before my treatment. 2: would you recommend any other actives in the future to prevent new AK from forming? Thank you!

      @@DoctorpediaYT what is the difference between medical device blue light and the blue light emitted by screen or sun?

    • @markhonea2461
      @markhonea2461 Год назад +2

      @@seekerandthinker it is only a specific narrow band of wavelength. While the sun does have the same, it also has many other parts of the spectrum that have other different effects. And some of those are the deep penetrating wavelengths that have caused the more serious damage.

    What is the cost of PDT? It won't be covered by my insurance since it's going to treat my facial acne and enlarged pores...

    • @DoctorpediaYT
      @DoctorpediaYT  3 года назад +2

      You would have to call your local dermatologist and ask what their "cash pay" price is for the treatment. The medicine alone costs about $400 so I would guess most would charge between $500-$600 but that is just a guess. I do not do this procedure for facial acne so I can't give you what we charge as a reference.
