| Nishida currently plays for JTEKT Stings, a volleyball club based in Kariya, Aichi, Japan. He made his debut with JTEKT Stings at V.League (Japan) on 6 January 2018 in a match against Osaka Blazers Sakai. His impressive debut at the young age of 17 soon earned him a position in JTEKT's Starting 6 as well as Japan men's national volleyball team.
He is one of the youngest players in the 2018 roster of the Japan men's national volleyball team and FIVB cup Final. He made his first international performance with the Japanese national team in 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League. In June 2018, he played a pivotal role in securing Japan's first win in 11 years against Italy where he collected 24 points from 21 spikes and 3 aces. In September 2018, in a match against Argentina in 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, Nishida became the youngest player ever to score 30 points in a match. In June 2019, Nishida broke serving records in the VNL history after hitting 7 aces in a single game during a match against Bulgaria

Why did you start playing Volleyball?
Share your story...
haikyu.
Period.
Because Haikyuu 😁😁😁
actually Yuji was the reason for me.
I saw him once playing and i was like "who is that, how can he jump like that?" and i started playing vball.
At school in P.E i've done a smash that everyone was shocked. At this moment i have feeling that i have to start a career 😂 and i was training during 3 years but covid came so i have to wait now 😩
I would have never played volleyball if i didnt fail trying out for dance and cheer. I saw a flyer and wanted to try something new going into middle school. I tried out and I made it, i fell in love with volleyball and I've been playing for 4 years now😁
Nishida is truly amazing but can we take a second to appreciate the setter who manages to set every ball perfectly for him? Absolutely inspiring work 🔥
And he’s only 5’9!!
Kameyaga
@@roku6194 XD.. KAGEYAMA
@@spookycheese6218 lmao I always make that spelling mistake lmao
@@roku6194 just remember that kage means shadow and yama means mountain
Talent + hard work = NISHIDA!!! 💥💪🏐👍🏐👍💥
🏐💪❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥
He a beast 🔥
More like hard work + will = Nishida
hard work + dedication = Nishida
its not all about talent
All I see is Nishida being compared to Hinata this man is more like Ushijima with being awesomely left handed
Left handed gang
I think ushijima is based off Nishida lol
@@juliem3519 nah ushijima was made before nishida got popular
@@juliem3519 Nishida enter U19 in 2017 but Ushijima already exists ... Haikyuu season 3 anime was released before that too
(Sorry my english is bad, it isn't my mother language)
Nishida himself said he thinks he is more like tanaka than hinata or ushijima
He is not jumping, He is flying.
+
3:21 That height/jump tho. DAMN!
OMFG HOW THE HELL
That amazing that has to be at least 50 inches or more
wait how tall is he?
@@timdesuu he is 6 feet
@@timdesuu 186cm
he puts his whole heart in what he does, genius of hard work! He reminds me a lot about Zaytsev! Nishida is real titan of volleyball now!
💪🔥🔥
So true!!! Next- level players for sure. 👍
I really like his perfect form of his arms when he starts jumping, and his legs on full folds like it kicks him up higher on his jump
Everyone : crushing Tom Holland, Shawn Mendes, Johnny Depp
Me : crushing for Nishida, and other volleyball players😍
❤️💪👍🔥💪
Same!!! ❤️🏐🌟
🤩🤩
Johnny deep really? He's like a 50 yr old dude tho
@@MasterEngineerPh that's the reason I included him, to hit any possible people u kno
3:10 The best!
Nishida has the most satisfying running approach
This guy didn't just settle for having incredible talent, he went out and worked like hell to get where he is right now. Truly incredible
‘Talent’ is a pretty meaningless word
He would go further and much stronger if he was 2m tall. He is quite short for volleyball compared to other players. Well Asians are generally small. Currently his achievement is purely his hard work.
Nobody appreciates his right knee? Like damn he is always landing on that one
That's True bro
I hope that his knee will be doing well in the future, when he get older. Extremely intensive training and competition may severely harm his right knees if he keeps landing that way.
Is it only me or his jump and spike look satisfying
Yesssss...
I can tell that Nishida trains as hard as he possibly can. I really enjoy watching him smash the ball past (or through) the blockers
As someone who was a competitive athlete and got a knee injury I'm very worried for his right knee, seeing how high he jumps and then lands mostly on his right leg and a lot of times without fully absorbing the impact
Right!! Was getting so anxious watching him land hard on that leg over and over
These volleyball courts are much much more shock absorbing and softer to land on
@@adamya1639 Sure, the courts are shock absorbing - but I've also been coached to land on both feet when possible over 10+ years of competitive volleyball (to reduce the risk of ACL damage). Nishida is a phenomenal athlete, and it would be a huge shame if his career is affected or cut short by any preventable injuries
Injuries like that are terrifying
most of all athlete is retired early with somekind of injury. you can see also in the NBA. many stars athlete always struggling with some kind of long lasting or an injury that keep come and go. they've really pushed the limit too far, and their body cant really handle that much stress...
1:09. You can clearly see how short Nishida really is, compared to other counterparts. To make up for his short advantages, he has worked extra hard, harder than other people, to be a very powerful volleyball player. Japanese people are just super breed.
and the fact that he's already like 1.8 ish??? volleyball players are really literall WALLS 😭
One of precious gems in this generation.
Man, Nishida jumped way higher than guys who are much taller than him. The way he comes in to spike is so cool like an eagle coming in for the kill!
Can I just say, Nishida looks short when he's standing beside the person from the opposite team. But when he's spiking and in the air, he towers over them. Absolute legend.
To deserve to be called a legend, you must first win something.
He has won our respect! And will forever have it!
0% physical advantages
100% hard work advantages.
If he was at least 2m tall or 210m plus like other White or Black counterparts, no one would be playing volleyball. He'd be unstoppable lol
Volleyball is so underrated. Love watching this kind of video
I got goosebumps while watching Nishida's jump and skill. He is really such a amazing person.
He really is an amazing person. Japan's so powerful with him and of course i appreciate their great team work. Really love to see him play❤
Never seen calf muscle development like that before!!! No wonder Yugi can jump so high!!! Incredible dedication to volleyball as well as super body sculpting!!! Wow, great example for younger people who want to excel in any sport really. Conditioning is crazy important!!! Thx. for the post!!! 🌟🎄🖖
MY MAAAAN!!!!
Such a hard worker. Go get em Nishida!!!!
I'm Japanese. I feel glad. Because Nishida became famous for foreign people. I believe he become No.1some day!!
also I saprised haikyuu is famous for foreign people.
I became fan of Japan Volleyball team after watching Haikyuu. To be honest, Japan team is so popular. You can see it through every match that include Japan Volleyball Team on youtube, they got so many view and comment compared to other teams. Way to go Japan. Gambatteiii in Olympic Tokyo.
Sadly he won't become number 1. He's too short. That's unfortunate. Maybe one day newer Japanese people will be taller. It's getting there. I know Nishida must've worked so hard to make up for his height disadvantages. And thats why he is a legend.
@@iROChakri he isn't too short ,he is young n still growing now he is 6:3
Man, im from brasil haikyuu is superfamous here, and many others sports anime, like kuroko no basket, the big one from the moment is Blue Lock (the egoist football). Japanese mindset to animes is amazing.
He's not just athletically gifted. He's built very well too. What a guy.
Well duh every athlete is like this have you seen the NFL their built like tanks 215lbs+ of muscle but yet they run extremely fast with insane verticals
@@scar8656 nah, not every athlete is built like a tank. And not every person who is built like a tank is athletic, they mught just be body builders. Don't generalize. I'm saying Nishida has both qualities, athletic and muscular.
Hard work and effort never lies❤️
i can watch it for an hour, so satisfying
He floats in the air.
🔥
His hair turns to orange in his final form.
lol
That’s hinata
Look at his recent videos on his RUclips channel. He’s getting there
probably
Hinata be like:
SO hyped to see him in the olympics 😁
Talent is something u make bloom, instinct is something u polish
Talent is latent, skill is active. 👍🏼👍🏼
@@AquaMarino it's actually a dialogue said by a character from haikyuu :)
Japan has a very strict and talented coach..and a discipline young team .
Big fan
Love from Nepal ❣️❣️🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵
やっぱりイケメンや
Nice vid, thx!!! I started play volley because of my Mom 💙
Nishida, Monster!!!
phenomenal jump ... respect!!!
yuji is love ❤❤
❤️🏐
his swing is so fast and strong, his jump is so high he can hit over blockers he's so talented and stuff I can't-
Nishida is the combination of Messi's talent; CR7's hard work/motivation & Jump skill; Ramos's vibes on motivate other teammates; and Xavi's vision sometimes; and Kpop idol's face
when they call him tiny but he's 6'1
Since i first watching Nishida...his already be my idols
@@aimq3246 me too
Thanks titans for the video ❤❤
🔥🔥🔥
Best jumper and player! He looks like the eagle flying!!!💪👏👏👋😍
Ushijima + Hinata = Nishida
Hard work + dedication = Nishida
Skill + Will = Nishida
There's so much more.
I just noticed Nishida has a unique jumping posture.
Usually we jump with both arms swinging upwards, but Nishida only uses one. Also, when spiking, rather than swinging from up to down, he swings backwards and then slam down, it's like he's swimming in air.
💪💪🔥
@Caiman Araújo still I would prefer the typical bow and arrow swing, so I can make use of both arms' momentum to bring myself upwards.
I think Nishida only uses one and that's enough for him, and by doing the way he does, he's sort of "hiding" his palm so the receivers have harder time to predict where his palm is facing.
Can we appreciate the great editing and music choice for this video?
this video is really nice
That jump is monstrous so high
this 20 years old young man is a beast
An absolute monster!!! 200% on everything!!!!
Omg his jump is very beautiful
This man fly Oo
Gravity has no effect on this player lol
👍🏐
Nishida is someone who you'll definitely cheer for. His hard works paid off well. He's on the top now. He's already amazing but i know he can do more and more! Really love this young man. Good luck Yūji kun!!
Such a beautiful sport
Legendary player I ever watched 🔥🔥🔥
0:52, when i saw him planking while playing with a ball, i felt like crying😂 i can't even last 5 minutes while doing that, what more trying to play with a ball. Pros really do it hard
Super... My best till now.
Talent with super jump hard work 👍
his jump isn’t all about the muscle it’s about the technique and how long he has learnt new extents to the technique and you will notice that he reaches as high as his hands can go and use his legs to keep the momentum going and swings as hard as he can giving him a great jump
What does your comment have to do with anything?
And strength & endurance, and in particular plyometrics shown there are definitely related lol
@@mareksicinski3726 k i was just saying (6 months ago) that it’s not all about muscle didn’t think that would offend you
Crazy at 1:21 how Nishida who is 6 inches shorter than Takahashi ends up a few inches above him at the peak of both jumps. Just demonstrates his insane vertical.
Nishida 💕💕💕💕world best players
Wow nice i like this video
Nishida is something 💥
Just imagine him doing quadraple axel lol😅
We bringing ice skating the the game now😂
3:21 this jump is awesome.❤️❤️
Killed it bro
I love u nishida
so this is how he trains? Bruh he must use Saitama’s method 😂
He will be bald
@@zayedalhammadi7274 yes
Every ball will break when he hits it.
100 push-up, 100 abs, 100 squats et 10 km running each day 🤣
1:55 wtf that vertical .. he didn't even do a run up or any step
He did like 2 steps.
@@vijayendranvijay457 actually if you close enough, he shuffled twice. Shuffling doesn't really give you a boost so its basically like a no running vertical
@@user-qn7gs1xp3f Shuffling is same as running boost except to less extent.
@@vijayendranvijay457 ...? Idk dude ppl run up to gain momentum. He shuffled while facing the opposite direction of where he's going to hit. If anything it's making him jump lower
@@vijayendranvijay457 no, shuffling is to find better positioning to hit the ball. not take momentum to get more height in order to hit higher.
I am Nishida fan, a captain of the high school volleyball team . Dream play like him many times, many years in my dreams.
He is my favorite Volleyplayer👏👏
Nishida getting arrested for breaking the laws of gravity:
Japan has some of the best sports universities and sports academic the world! Their athletes are very well conditioned and trained and it shows! Nishima is a jumping jack!
I like this video alot it makes me feel so inspired. And maybe some day I will have a body shape like this And be Like him.
I like to play volleyball and I like to yuji Nishida😂🤣😙😚🤩🥳🙂
Coach: yuji how high can u jump?
Yuji: yes!
He’s handsome^^
Amazing player

He's really young and talented. Hinata, little giant and hoshiumi in real life 😂💓

Yeahhhh
TBH Nishida is 6 feet tall and Hinata and hoisumi is like 5'5
He’s more like an Ushijima. Left handed Ace. Big build, great mid air form. Not to mention, the man is 6ft tall.

El salto de el joven Nishida mis respetos joven Nishida siga entrenando su cuerpo y mente para la batalla del deporte favorito que práctica y vamos por más victorias asiendo honor a su País Japón
O bicho é brabo 👏💪
The best volleyball player 💌
The most spectacular volleyball player, yes. Height will not allow him to compete with real legends such as Osmany Juantorena or Wilfredo Leon. Besides, you have to win something to deserve to be named Best Volleyball Player.
Nishida: Gravity? What’s that?
He not jump, he fly 🔥
Este Japones tiene una saltavilidad increible saludos desde Perú. K sigan los exitos.
WHEN HE JUMPS TO SPIKE, IT FEELS LIKE HE HAS SPRING ON BOTH OF HIS SHOES
I love how the thumnail just straight up shows a random HUGE calf
Excellent setter
Perfect slow motion and framing of the camera, we really see the power of his gesture...but he flies???
