Thank you for this tutorial. I am new to Design Space. I'm a Silhouette gal. But because of recent space problems, I can't open a full size machine (got a Cameo, and 2 pre DS Cricuts) So, I bought a Joy which has been a joy..except DS.🤣. So I will be holding on to you for tutorials.

Any suggestions for dealing with times when curve will only go so far? Like I want a -36 and it won't go there, just offers -18.

Hi Mia! Unfortunately you can't curve symbols, unless they are part of the font. Images won't curve, but if you find the symbol within a font, it should work fine. Hope this helps and thanks so much for watching! 💕

I am trying to curve words in text and the curve icon is still in gray. Do you know why that is?
Make sure you've only selected the text. Look into layers and make sure the text isn't grouped with anything else and if it is, Ungroup. It that isn't the issue, save the project, close out and open it back up. The option should show up. Thanks for watching and happy crafting! 😊💕

Is there any way to curve an image, not text, but a number
Hi Barbra! Cricut Design Space curve tool will only curve text (or numbers) that you've typed. Images can not be curved. And images of text or numbers that you upload can not be curved. Maybe you could replicate the number with a font in Cricut? Hope it works out and happy crafting! Thanks so much for watching! 💕

Hey Cheray! No. It only works on text you type in. Anything that you upload will come in as an image, even though it is text. Maybe you can replicate the text portion using fonts in Cricut? Hope it works out! Happy crafting and thanks for watching! 💕

Cheray - the longer the word/number set, the more curve you'll get. Is it short?
It’s about the same as the basketball same script writing but I downloaded it bc can’t get same font.
Hmmm... I've never used the tool with a downloaded font. I wouldn't think it would make a difference as long as it's not an image of a font and it's the actual font. Meaning you didn't bring it into DS as a picture of a word. I would call the Cricut help desk. They are wonderful!
