Thank you for covering “gear lusting” in your other video. Not everyone has access to or money for expensive equipment. I’m around kids a lot and they don’t have money to invest in themselves. I like inspiration like this to use to help kids and teens get excited that they do have what it takes to get started on something cool. This truly is your ministry. You help others to be the best that God created them to be without intimidation. You have family-oriented videos. Other videos I literally have to pray before I watch them. When I go to add the cinematic view you downloaded off the website, on imovie it looks great buy when I export it at the top you can see parts of the video in a little line. I've messed with the crop, took the ken burns off and everything can't seem to get that out of there. 😬
Hmmm interesting. It sounds like you're doing everything right... I would start by trying to expand the cinematic bars just a bit so that they expand and cover the edges a bit more. Beyond that, I'm not sure what to tell you without being there in person to see it!

I've done this before and the results were okay, but man, it's so awkward to do. It's like watching yourself in video- always cringey. Kudos to you for doing this and it comes off great.
ha it definitely takes practice getting comfortable on camera. It actually helped me to be by myself for a while and work on getting comfortable without other people around... then once I felt (somewhat) comfortable it was helpful to bring in a friend so they could get shots that I couldn't get myself! If you have a close friend who you feel natural around that definitely helps because you can both feel comfortable and laugh about it if needed!

Great video! Here’s a question. After you’ve imported all of your footage to your computer; what do you do with the videos that are still on your iPhone? Do you back them up to an external hard drive?
So your 'Post production' section starts with what you should have done right at the very start before you actually started filming. What part of 'post' is confusing you guys?
What the best Android app to edit your own footage? I keep trying apps that have all these weird filters 😅. I just need to be able to edit my own footage. I don't need weird filters.
You pulled ideas that I have seen here and there in other videos and combined them into a creative, fun, one stop video. I especially appreciated the emphasis on creativity and planning as outweighing gear. Kudos.

Hey there! All of the same connects apply (using creativity in your shots, time of day, backgrounds, etc) the only main difference is that the tools on your phone might look a little different but it's definitely the same aim! -Dean
Hey T. Rose! You can if you have the iMovie app (or another movie making app) on your phone, yes. I tend to gravitate towards my computer because I have one for work and I can spread out more but you can indeed do it on a phone :) -Dean
