Good luck getting that on this channel. They're not really doing real world tests, it's just mates having a bit of fun down a strip. If one driver totally messes it up, they call that a 'real world result'. That Porshe was never gonna lose but that gap wasn't anything like a realistic representation IMO.
Real result is that Aventador will never able to outrun a Taycan Turbo S in a 1/4mile drag race. What they show is a real result. If the SV is driven perfectly in normal road the best result is like 10.8. And you can only run 1 of ten races to get into 10.8. Taycan TS is able to run 10.3. And its launch control is way more stable than Lambo ones. So actually this Porsche performed worse than expected than SV.
@@jamisonz3365 true, but not real results... again run it over and let's see the actual realistic gap... unless you don't really care, but majority of people do
Completely agree on that. It's clear even for the untrained listener that the Lambo was shifting faaar behind the red line. This is clearly shown on the final numbers. I'd like to see a new battle with the right driver...
Even the best driver isn't going to pick better rpm targets than the programmed ECU in Auto Mode. Shifting in manual on the paddles is slower than leaving it in auto mode on the Aventador. So with that, even a trained F1 driver would still lose to a Taycan Turbo S in the Aventador SV regardless. Sorry but 100% torque at ZERO rpm wins over a NA 6.5L V12 having to work hard to get to it's low end torque. Science wins here LOL.
Lambo driver either short shifted to 2nd to stop wheel spin or stuffed his gear change up, either way this needs a rerun......but this drag race has already been done on another channel and the Lambo won that....
For future drag races, please race 3 times... First round with the amateur drivers, second round with Tiff and Paul, third round Tiff and Paul would swap cars.
Surely you could have re-run that race seeing as the Aventador driver messed up the shift into 2nd gear. If I can detect the hiccup through the tiny speakers of my mobile phone, then you must have definitely heard it from right next to the cars.
Yes. The quarter mile drag race was started in the 1950s, back then cars made less than 100hp today they make up to 1000hp stock, my daily driver has 400 yet a race car in the 50s was lucky to do 150hp. It's injustice. We need longer drag races.
The fastest car in the world in 1950s, the XK120 had a top speed of 124 mph, my granny can beat that in a Golf. Making 160bhp, a mini can beat that today with double that figure.
That "drama and noise" is wasted energy not available for propelling the car. It's why internal combustion engines are only 30% efficient. Ever notice how some of the loudest cars on the street are the slowest? Pickups with glass paks and ricers with fart can exhausts are just embarrassing for the owner.

I disagree. Not only faster is always better, but you can have massive amount of fun on every traffic light in an electric car. In a petrol one, you attract every cop in a mile radius every time you press the gas pedal.
The Godfather. Vs the Porsche Taycan Turbo S the future, I would every day of the week buy a Lamborghini Aventador SV or a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ in front of the Porsche Taycan Turbo S.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Well even a pro can't launch it perfectly every time. Sure Lambo can beat Taycan when at it's fastest, but in a 1:1 fair bet I will still put my money on Taycan every time unless the Lambo driver is legendary....
Ridiculous you know full well the Aventador bogged. 0-62 near 4 seconds! Props to the Porsche getting away and doing what it says on the tin but if the driver could launch the Lambo it takes the 1/4 mile. Why only one drag and where is the rolling pick up. Come on you two get you act together, you can do better than this. So many RUclips channels do this better.
The trap speed of the SV is way waaaay off - they're usually 10MPH faster than that. You lads need to run these cars multiple times to make up for mistakes, some of the drivers here are just not doing a proper job. Do not besmirch the great name of Tiff.

I love how many people are complaining about how the lambo driver is at fault for his car's launch control spinning the tires and his AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION shifting slowly. Get a grip, people.
People are complaining because they know the Lamborghini is capable of running 10.8 second passes on the street. If you know the car can do a whole second faster than it did on this race, then I'd say it's valid to complain. It went as fast as a Challenger 392, we all know it can do a lot better. That's not a regular automatic transmission, it is a single clutch automated manual. If you don't shift it by the paddles, it will hit the rev limiter.
In the real world, if somebody did decide to do this, it shows that the taycan is better manufactured in the tech department, and even though the Aventador missed a shift, I do believe that the outcome would've been the same, as in other races, it can prove the Taycan Turbo S completing the 1/4 Mile in 10.3 Seconds while an Aventador SV completing the 1/4 Mile in 10.9 Seconds
