  • After becoming the clear winner of the most requested tool review on my recent Instagram poll, here is my review of the Diamondback GRRande 2.0 Toolbelt.
I compare it to the Taurus Super Yankee, which is the toolbelt most Carpenters in New Zealand start with, and some still use after many years.
I cover my process for deciding upon this toolbelt, briefly comparing it to the Artisan and Denali 2.0.
I cover in detail the amazing belt, the two pouches, The Ox and Mule, and the additional accessories, the cellphone pouch, flat bar holster and gun loop.

Thank you. That's the stunning Okains Bay on Banks Peninsula. We go there every year for a holiday

I bought a diamondback tool belt when I started my apprenticeship last September and so glad I spent the extra money up front

Awesome. What one did you go for?

I got the artisan one with a medium belt. Have the same issue as you were I could have gone small too and most likely will have to in the future. Fortunately I don’t have to carry around a huge amount of fixings with me but I I need to I may buy a lager pouch or one of the nail bags. Didn’t get the dog bad holster as I couldn’t afford it at the time so it just slips in with the hammer in its holster

Sweet. It looks like I made the right choice not going for the Artisan. The lack of fixings storage was my biggest concern there.
There are plenty of add on pouches you can get, and I think the clip on like my cellphone pouch.

Thanks man. I've been waiting ages to do it. I really wanted to give it a good run in different types of work before reviewing it.

Nice review. Spending money on a higher end toolbelt or a custom toolbelt is certainly worth it

Absolutely. While this might not suit everyone or every task, it’s great at 90% of what I do and a MASSIVE step up from my old belt.

Great review bro, im in the market for a new belt and you've convinced me on the diamondback... Unless some other good kiwi fella reviews a badger belt in the next two weeks 😂

Good choice mate. If you're lucky you might find a second hand one on marketplace or trade me. They pop up occasionally.

Did you have much of a break in time with your belt bro? Mines been a battle for the first week

@michaeljameswoodbridge9185 I didn’t have any trouble at all. What’s giving you issues?

@@nakedapprentice the belt rubbing against my hips. I'm wearing the belt higher as suggested by DB. I'm beginning to think that maybe the 4" belt would have been the better option for my body type. Thing is I love the wide belt for the back support. I'm hoping it's just a break in stage but the few people I've talked to said they had no problem "breaking it in"

Do you mean on your hips bones? I get that occasionally if the top of my shorts are under the belt or a zip from my hoodie. You could try some suspenders. Any four point ones should work and a three point will work if you can make/buy a loop to hook on the back.

That’s a very large concrete slab your about to install boxing …How many days did it take to get all that sand spread 😁 on a serious note I’ve now set myself up for framing by Loki on my left and Clavo on the right, for fixouts I’ve done both Clavos with a few mods. How good is it nowadays having clip on options. Love the detailed and personal experienced review 👍

I spent the first couple of weeks of my holiday preparing that beach 😂
Yup, clip on accessories are mint, although my belt is big enough I don't think I want to add anything else.

None of these belts seems to work for me. Im a point where im probably just going to buy a sewing machine and make it myself lol

Fair enough. It’s not perfect for everyone, or even for me, but it’s a vast upgrade from what I had.

@@nakedapprentice yeah definitely a big upgrade from the taurus.
