Great review video. Master electrician from Texas...been in the trade for 38 years and never used anything but Klein leather pouches. I went with this set-up and it's great. I just don't know how you got by for 17 years without a second bag (some call them 'diddy' bags here) for all the wirenuts, fittings , etc. Great review, thanks.
Great bag! I recommend swapping the smaller pouch for milwaukees carpenter pouch if you are a residential electrician
Great review thanks
Just ordered one and this reassured I made the right choice.
Excellent presentation. Keep up the good work. My brother's a sparky gonna forward this vid to him.
Awesome, thank you!
Wish we could get black packout here in the good old 🇺🇸! Love your review! Bless you fellow Sparky!
I've got my leather tool belt, I was union sheet metal worker since 1994. I still use it to this day.
Occidental?
Dude... how could you work for 17 years with only one pouch. My Klein tools tool belt has the right side completely filled with tools and the left side has my NCVT, big screwdrivers and all the screws, marettes, wire crimps, connectors and I'm still wondering wich bigger one should I choose lol
Cuz he has snickers aswell
Can we get a minutes silence for that poor porcelain penguin.
This is a great review! I’m a sparky in Australia and you remind me so much of my trade school teacher, he is a great bloke!
Just got one today , and it’s great for my back!took your advice and tried it on before i bought it and it’s a pretty tight fit which is great 👌🏾✨
It is good for the back! Glad it works for you. 😎
Thanks for the video great information
Any time!
Awesome belt mate 👍
I'm thinking of getting one of those John, you've convinced me :)
Just getting into the trade, what would be a good additional pouch to buy for a m18 driver storage, or should I just put try and fit everything into the additional bag provided?
I’ve been using the CK tools, tool belt for a bit now and that is pretty similar to this Milwaukee one, fairly big and bulky, back support type belt and decent size pockets, metal hammer loop etc etc, took me a bit of getting used to but now I won’t go back to having a smaller tool belt, first thing every morning I fill my belt with what tools I’ll need for the job in hand and leave my tote in the van, where I used to have to take my tote with me.
I’m currently converting over to Packout as I only use Milwaukee M12-M18 tools so it makes sense to go in full bore!
Love the vids man, cheers! 🍺👍
Have you ever tried out the toughbuilt system. Cannot recommend it enough great bit of kit highly versatile.
Nice , you have any link from where you bay the tool belt. Thanks
You will have to do a van tour.
Based on your videos and shed id bet the van is tidy and very well layed out!
its not that impressive I travel light these days but I will do one
@@JohnMcGrathManInShed maybe its time to get it kitted out
I do really like this tool belt so far so good.
Where did you purchase this belt from? I’m from the UK and only a few places sell but it’s the red American made one so it’s like £100 and I much prefer this one
I'm a home gamer, yet have 3 random belts. lol. Hmmm... darn, looks nice!
Can anybody give me the link to the European version of the tool belt? I would rather have the black one then the red one. Thanks
Is it still a tool belt you would recommend?
Классная мастерская, тоже хочу себе гараж оборудовать👍
Where would you put a drill ? I carry mine on my opposite hip of a single pouch setup, great video man keep em coming
i keep my drill at the lil hook above the measuring tape, if you have one of those steel hooks on the drill or machine.
Hey John. Any idea where I'd be able to find your old Dewalt one? Looks like the perfect size. My husky is getting to small
Don't think they make them anymore
What is better MDF or wood?
Where can I buy this excellent perfect tool bag from?
Great review, quick question! Is the actual belt removable? I’m a pretty slim guy, so if it turns out not fitting me I’d like to be able to swap in one of my own belts.
You can take the pouches off the belt
Great review! Do you have a suggestion for a shop belt or apron?
Not for around the workshop, I must look into some aprons.
Love the channel John I am a electrician myself this belt won’t not suit me as I am just use to the snickers trousers and find they do my job ok but there is probably stuff I do that you would say why would you do that everyone to there own opinion. Love this channel keep up the brilliant work I have a request could you chat about your shed as I am actually looking to build a shed in the future and would love your tips and things to watch out for cheers stay safe from your fellow Irish spark #thefightingirish
Tool belts aren't everyone cup of tea sometimes the snickers pants does the job for me too unless I'm working on large panels then I need all my tools to hand. I have a few videos on the shed if you check through my list. I did a bit on it in the work shop tour, there are also videos on setting it up and painting the floor.
It is very nice, but how can I purchase this item, because I like this, and I want to buy it.
Klein bolt bag on the bag for impact
It definitely looks nice, John! Great review! 😃
Personally I don't need something like that right now... But it's definitely on my list! 😃
Stay safe, dude! 🖖😊
Heat up a knife and cut off the excess belt, itll be less weight and easier to put on every day instead of pulling through the whole belt into the buckle , also you can put candy bars in there for a boost of energy
Hi , I am from India and I am a electrician and I want to buy it but how can I purchase it?? and what is the price of one set in Indian RS.
Nice Tewell peowch.
G'day from down under! How do you find the NWS diagonal cutters versus the Knipex ones?
The NWS is not as good as the Knipex
@@JohnMcGrathManInShed Thanks!
what is the exact model of this belt?
I like my southwire belt it's kinda like this
Good man your self .you must be flat out making vids
How's the tool belt holding up?
I'm was looking for a new one and this Milwaukee one caught my eye :)
Its holding up very well, it's bulky but solid
I would buy the suspenders
Good video. That belt is nice but sits too wide for me. I have Occidental and though it is less wide, it is borderline for me. The Milwaukee sits far too wide for me.
Hello John, i´m looking for a tool belt, but i have a criteria for it. is it possible to hang a milwaukee screwdriver in it?
Yes they will fit
Great video.
Where did you buy it?
Hanyharware.ie was the site I used
Is it modular? Can you accessorize it? Get a second small pouch to replace the large one, Does it come with all the pieces you have?
its is, there are some accessories available such as drill holster, impact driver holster and smaller pouches. Its comes with everything I have.
I’ve seen another RUclips guy who takes the larger pouch off and uses it as a carry along tote - and then has only medium job specific or essential tools on the belt… that’s the way I think I’ll use this … just ordered one.
I wanna know about the pouches you are wearing. What are they?
If its the pouches on the pants you mean they are Snickers workware
It looks like a great bag john how much did you pay for it
€120 if I remember correctly
Thanks for the reply John the cheapest I can find if for is 180.
very good. but in a winder it is not possible to wear this with jacket or other heavy coats
I wore it all winter over my coat no problem, the belt has plenty of adjustment it will fit over any coat
@@JohnMcGrathManInShed nice. but i think it wasn't sexy wearing it like this
I have that set up, and I almost hate it, and I've got almost all Milwaukee tools. The Velcro on the cushion is falling apart, the metal rings on the belt are falling out, and the belt in the back is falling apart where I hang my impact. And I've had this set up for less then a year. I am really disappointed, and I'm looking for a new setup.
That's not good!! Mine is holding up so far.
Why don’t any of these tool belts have a hook or holster for a drill/impact driver? I’d take that over a hammer loop any day
You can add it but yes the option would be nice
Just ordered the contractor one, found one for damn cheap with the suspension rig and electrician one seems one pouch way too small. Only downside is the electrical tape part lol.
I'm trying to figure out what one i want between the 2 how are you liking the contractors one
@@bryceowens2423 really good. I flipped both pouches as Im righty and the left one was the most used.
@@moog38yearsagoupdated1mont9 thank you for the quick reply!
@@bryceowens2423 I prefer the contractor as I can carry bunch of what I need to install inside of it. It's slightly bigger on one side than the sparkie one but not cumbersome at all in the ladder. Less step down to climb back just to get x o y thing I could carry in it. And for finition stuff, I usually just suggest a side pouch to carry only what needed to avoid scratching anyway too.
The sparky belt is fun but I hate how everything is too tight together when most of your stuff is in, hard to carry extra stuff in it. And when you drop your one single item you have within the pouch, GL retrieving it easy if you have all your screwdrivers and all in it haha.
Only reason I got the contractor one was because I had a deal for it and turned out to be awesome lol.
@@moog38yearsagoupdated1mont9 yeah that makes sense I really like the fact the sparky one stands up on its own kinda like a tote bag as well as the spot for tape but at the same time the contractors one looks quite a bit bigger, how’s the weight and fit on it? I’m a smaller guy only 5’10 180pnds so I’m looking for one that’s going to fit snug and not have to adjust it all the time as I don’t like using the shoulder straps
not sure i could wear that, there wouldnt be a safe penguin in the country. my brain cant seem to acount for the extra width, im always getting my hammer hook caught in stuff and thats only 50mm wide, that belt must be 130+mm .
😂
Esta hiperventilado
waht kind of pants are you wearing? whats the black on them?
Snickers work wear I have a video on them
@@JohnMcGrathManInShed thank you ill look
👍🏻🍻🍺🎁🎄
That velcro dies after few months and after that pouches fall off everytime you take belt off
So handsome!
Its is a handsome belt lol
@@JohnMcGrathManInShed Only if the guy wearing it is...
Is your mom mrs McGrath? I know her song
no drill pocket
I think this is the electrical belt, they have a few different belt setups for different trades I think. I know they make a bigger contractors belt - which has the sexy suspenders
Let me guess.... you are a Makita guy?
😂
Well, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have to worry about it being too big... 🤪😂
4:17 is that true? That just sounds ridiculous. Owning the right for a color?
It seems to be.
Must see Japanese working
No reason to wear belts if you cherish your hips. Also no reason to load any pouch beyond 10 pounds worth of junk. You work in stages and complete things in stages. Planning stage, route/holes, rough in, finishing. If wearing a belt be sure to use suspenders. Used a belt and pouch for 3 months, then said F+++ it while it took 3 months for my hips to stop causing pain.
In a little old lady's house, better take off the tool belt and bring a little carry bag/pouch of tools so you don't scratch walls or unintentionally redecorate. Lol
yeah you wouldn't want to turn around to fast lol
Why are you so out of breath?
No strippers ?
Ive had that one for over year. But it’s not for a real electrician no offense to you city boys who carry only screwdriver and pliers. The side where the tape measure holder is the bags are too stiff. Can’t put your hands in their to get wire nuts/screwed etc. I’m still on search for the perfect electricians tool pouch.
Boulder bags?
occidental
Well if you use wire nuts, you're not a proper electrician.....😂😂. I have no problem getting my hands in to the two pouches on the front of the right hand pouch. I wear mine a lot lower down than John had his on though, that height is too much elbow bending for my liking to get to your tools
is totally a professional electricians tool belt … has plenty of pockets for the lube that he uses when he shafts you with the bill.
You'd be fucking laughed at on a building site wearing that!
This is a Tool advert disguised as a trades person actually on sites.
1. The show is lite like a studio.
2 . To tidy way too tidy .
3 . Show us the RECEIPTS
😂
