    Thank you so much for taking the time! We're working on a solution for a quick release for the suspenders.

    I have to agree with you on all the pain points you listed (ESPECIALLY the suspenders and the "bit holder") but overall they are a great set of bags.

  • @wyblood1010
    @wyblood1010 3 дня назад

    Couple helpful tips for your bits depending on how long of bits you use get a small plastic container that the bits come in and stick your bits in it and put it in your bags and as long as you don’t have a bunch of crap in one pouch it’s organized also for your awl and chalk line, if you spike the awl through the hook you don’t have to try to get the hook to stay on the awl

    Just stumbled on your channel. I'm a framer in Massachusetts, millennial as well! Agree 100% with you on the pica i only use it on wet lumber lol. I also run the badger belt, had it for about 4 months and pretty much set up the same way you do 😊. Def gonna be cutting that bit index out tomorrow, I never use it and it makes getting the tape measure out a pain in the ass! Also the gun loop that comes on the right side bags is worthless, its too low and causes the gun to hit me in the leg, I usually hang it on the top most pouch on the right. Great video!

      Yeah, never tried the stitched in place gun loop. I usually just hook the gun over the belt pad because I shoot left handed

    I'm a fellow Badger too, with both a Carpenter set for framing/siding and a Framer set I use for foundations. I'm commenting along as I watch. For the pencil slots, I tape a keel on my pencils (poor man's version of the garden hose) so they can't slide down, I really only carry 1 at a time anyway. I've found a hundred uses for my awl, definitely a must for me. I also am not in love with the Pica, I'd rather a classic pencil for almost everything. I don't know if I know anyone that likes the Stiletto nail bar 😂 I cut my dimpler off immediately and I might grind down a better taper, but it will probably break as soon as I do, good thing mine was half price. Nail bar sleeve is a definite must, tore my pants up with my framer set so I ordered my carpenter set with one and need to send the FSU back to add one. I got Joel to put that elastic bit thing in the tool side upper pocket and sew the bottom shut, holds up to 3 2" bits per slot, I was worried it would interfere with my taoe as well, but I take my belt clips off my fatmax 30s.

    When I don't want the suspenders I just let them hang down over the belt and loop them under the bags and they stay out of the way no problem. Put a bit of plumbers water line on the end of the pencil so it doesn't fall down into the pencil slot. I'm tape left too so I put the bit holder in the upper right side pocket. I love Stiletto hammers but I broke the titanium nail bar far too soon.... anyway that's my 2 cents! good luck out there!

    great video. Your pica pencil is the largest one however - i use it only for stonework. Grab the normal sized one - you'll love it. or even the mechanical one for final carpentry. The big one is nasty to carry around.

    Yeah I was disappointed with the Pica pencil. Gets dull fast and constantly sharpening. Been meaning to see if there’s a harder lead for it.

      Get the Pica 3030 pencil, which is a round lead and easy to manage the tip and the size of the pencil is smaller and more manageable

    Out of the 3 big brands which would you recommend? I was going to get these over the diamondbacks because they’re 100$ cheaper but I don’t want to cheap out if this belt isn’t that great
